What modifiers did you use?
I used Fluxus as inspiration when making the musical instruments for this album - all music was played on instruments made from either trash or vegetables! I also made every component of this project over the span of the past 3 days while getting a good night's sleep each night, so I feel the "early to bed, late to rise" modifier was also fulfilled. I also gave myself the bonus modifier of "contains a historical reference" because I recently participated in the Historically Accurate Game Jam as well.

How would you consider this game to be Pompous Trash?
For this project, I wrote a short musical about a slime mold living during the French Revolution that wants to build a propeller hat to escape the Paris streets, & the plot is vaguely based on the plot of Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. The songs are all covers of famous classical songs, & played solely on the aforementioned instruments made from trash/vegetables.

In addition to the musical album, I also created a printable fanzine about the slime mold characters, printable slime mold character puppets with attachable costumes, & a "making of" documentary where an auteur-esque character explains the process & you get to see the vegetable instruments.

Did you accomplish your goal?
Yes, I feel I did! I had a lot of fun making this.

What was your goal for creating this game?
When I was a kid, I was always making weird multimedia projects & just funny lil things I didn't worry too much about making perfect, so I wanted to bring that energy back for this project (& for future projects, now that I've used it again I realize how much I missed it)

Bravo. If anyone but you wins the “Theme Use” category, I’m going to riot.

Ok I just watched the documentary. This submission is AMAZING. Love the dedication to the pompousness! Genuinely inspiring. I want to do something as creative as this for the next jam 🙏

Such a pompous soundtrack. I approve. (Especially the mumbly voices in the background).

Aloof, pretentious, condescending... it's trash.
Well done.

Squeaking veggies = comedy gold

A most exquisite musical 👌

Combined with the physical materials and bonus cd of the director's commentary I truly felt like I was at the theater once again for a play or something of the sorts 👌

the slime mold achieved his dream. He escaped the sewers of the french revolution, but who is this Ben he has found? is it himself?
