Thanks to you people and your hard work on this app. I used this for nearly all of the art (outside of some vector editing for readables as this is not a text editor of course) in my latest horror game and I gave you people a shoutout at the end. Much appreciated. If you want any assets to put in your splashes at the intro, don’t hesitate to ask. All of the screenshots on my splash page use Pixelorama.

Hello folks. My game /R just recently released here on Itch.io and if you’re a fan of mystery box style stories, psychological horror, lo-fi games or being tense and nervous, this one is for you. There are 100+ rooms, puzzles that change each playthrough, the freedom to go anywhere at the start, permadeath on Normal or higher difficulty and plenty off the beaten path - even a full retro shmup hidden in game. This horror game is in the vein of early 2D horror games like Clock Tower and has a persistent nemesis and other phenomena that will block your way to solving this tragic mystery. Enjoy and thanks for your attention.
Made with Godot Engine by a one-person team.
Howdy. This is NegDev.
This is the official bug report thread. We will keep a running list of any outstanding bugs, glitches or errors here so they can be dealt with promptly. Please include a picture and description of how to recreate the bug if possible. Make sure to update your exes promptly if you have not downloaded them since the last update, as Itch.io does not prompt for updates. You can also email me at negativedevelopmentgames@gmail.com with any questions.
Last software update: February 16, 2025
Currently, the known/active bug list:
[ Investigating ] - Some users on Steam have reported being “stuck” in some rooms and the cat disappearing at points when going up stairs. I have not been able to replicate these errors, however. It is currently being investigated.
Appreciate you following up. I will have more specifics but I am positive that multi-layers being selected while using a selecting tool was the culprit, not sure what’s causing the eraser/coloring bug though. Wish I had more than that, will follow up when I do.
I understand this is a labor of love, i post because I love your program. Keep up the good work.
New bugs now. Layers don’t stay locked when cutting and pasting from different layers, weird behaviors like tools painting when they should be erasing. Also, can’t paste from one layer to the next - don’t know how this happened. but it made me restart an hour’s work from scratch.
Think it might due to the fact that when you copy a frame and all its layers, by default, it then selects all those layers. I’ve even run undo on this when realizing this, only to have the errors still happen.
Also, size of brush preview still not adjusting under some circumstances.
Just downloaded the latest, keep up the good work.
Some errors in the new build. Made sure they were consistent between projects/versions before reporting:
- Tools do not preview their appropriate pixel size and instead preview at 1 px size when hovering.
- Center when used from Resize Canvas does not work. I even used squares to make sure I wasn’t making errors. Has been doing this since last version. Don’t know why this broken - worked fine in older version when it was a separate option.
- Cut/Copy always defaults pasting to the dead center of the canvas. This used to default to its copied position which was VERY helpful when animating and needing to move over a piece. Is this an option I am missing or a change?
Thank you and your team for the hard work, continuously.
This is incredible. So easy to use that a simple button press can make a great sound (thanks to a great random seeding function that fires on a press) but with a deep toolset for those interested in some old-school chiptune synthesis. Well done. I can’t wait to dump some of these sounds into a sampler. :D
Still loving this, still using it. If you don’t want to pay for Aseprite, get this tool. (And donate if you can)
Also - did Centralize Image move? I’ve been overdue to update, did so and it’s not where it was. I can’t seem to find it in the Docs.
EDIT: Nevermind I found it. I noticed it got moved to Resize Canvas as an easy button (which fixes a problem I had with it, as it now works on every frame!) Keep up the great work.
Also - for any having performance issues, try turning off the animated selection borders, this helps quite a bit.
Your games always have great atmosphere - I also loved Prey. I was able to walk through walls for some reason? But considering you were working in Love2D and the fact you even programmed a light-casting system when looking around doors, I feel that’s splitting hairs. Couldn’t figure out combat but I probably just suck at it. POMPOUS TRASH! xD
