Appreciate you following up. I will have more specifics but I am positive that multi-layers being selected while using a selecting tool was the culprit, not sure what’s causing the eraser/coloring bug though. Wish I had more than that, will follow up when I do.

I understand this is a labor of love, i post because I love your program. Keep up the good work.

New bugs now. Layers don’t stay locked when cutting and pasting from different layers, weird behaviors like tools painting when they should be erasing. Also, can’t paste from one layer to the next - don’t know how this happened. but it made me restart an hour’s work from scratch.

Think it might due to the fact that when you copy a frame and all its layers, by default, it then selects all those layers. I’ve even run undo on this when realizing this, only to have the errors still happen.

Also, size of brush preview still not adjusting under some circumstances.

Okay I figured it out (the preview brush size glitch)…. it’s not the freehand draw tool but the Draw Line and Draw Circle tool. It seems to happen consistently when you switch between the two and after you make the first stroke. I posted a Canva video here so you can see. Hope that helps.

I am not sure about the pixel preview issue but it does get fixed when you restart the app. If i see it again I will let you know. Good to know about the other options! I will check those out.

Thank you again for all your hard work.

Just downloaded the latest, keep up the good work.

Some errors in the new build. Made sure they were consistent between projects/versions before reporting:

  • Tools do not preview their appropriate pixel size and instead preview at 1 px size when hovering.
  • Center when used from Resize Canvas does not work. I even used squares to make sure I wasn’t making errors. Has been doing this since last version. Don’t know why this broken - worked fine in older version when it was a separate option.
  • Cut/Copy always defaults pasting to the dead center of the canvas. This used to default to its copied position which was VERY helpful when animating and needing to move over a piece. Is this an option I am missing or a change?

Thank you and your team for the hard work, continuously.

This is incredible. So easy to use that a simple button press can make a great sound (thanks to a great random seeding function that fires on a press) but with a deep toolset for those interested in some old-school chiptune synthesis. Well done. I can’t wait to dump some of these sounds into a sampler. :D

Still loving this, still using it. If you don’t want to pay for Aseprite, get this tool. (And donate if you can)

Also - did Centralize Image move? I’ve been overdue to update, did so and it’s not where it was. I can’t seem to find it in the Docs.

EDIT: Nevermind I found it. I noticed it got moved to Resize Canvas as an easy button (which fixes a problem I had with it, as it now works on every frame!) Keep up the great work.

Also - for any having performance issues, try turning off the animated selection borders, this helps quite a bit.

Thank you so much. I also appreciate your feedback immensely (and bravo - I think you may be the only person who beat the original version!) Glad to see you appreciate the upgrades - which are thanks to all who played, including you. Thank you for being here.

Really smooth jumping and mechanics. Also loved the shaders you used. Well done.

Yeah controls are on the overhaul list as of now. I will have to check tbat one out! Glad you enjoyed the story. Appreciate it.

I wish itch.io had the ability to pin comments. This is gold!

Not the first to mention the physics. I am seriously considering an overhaul on them.

Oh wow! You made it to the portal maze!

Dr Tentacles will be posting the solution to that one on his socials soon.

yeah, not much time to give a proper jump arc but I am glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback! For what’s its worth, there are some puzzles which use that floaty-ness to their advantage.

Damn. Too bad I just finished this literally RIGHT before the jam started. It’s a 2d game I made in two weeks. Shame. Use for inspiration?

Hikikomori - A Black and White Creepy Platformer

Your games always have great atmosphere - I also loved Prey. I was able to walk through walls for some reason? But considering you were working in Love2D and the fact you even programmed a light-casting system when looking around doors, I feel that’s splitting hairs. Couldn’t figure out combat but I probably just suck at it. POMPOUS TRASH! xD

This was really fun - especially with all the hand-drawn post-it note art. I played this WAY longer than I want to admit. Nailed the theme. And the soundtrack is surprisingly catchy.

This is an intriguing concept. Oddly though, when plugging in headphones I would hear the narrator on headphones but noises on the display? Odd. But it’s an excellent idea.

The platforming is tight and the game runs beautifully - really love the gravity shift mechanic! That little flashing ball is also surprisingly fun to look at. And great guitar work - I could listen to a whole soundtrack of chill music like this while platforming.

For the life of me, I could not get this game running. :(

I played all the way through and I loved the kinetic art (I did something similar in Hikikomori…. I guess great minds think alike :D ) and it’s so big, bright and colorful to look at. So polished! And another Godot user - huzzah!

What a vibe! Great sound and a menacing fantasy atmosphere - definitely my jam. The right click on mouse sometimes caused camera shenanigans but how you pulled this off so fast is crazy.

Like the concept though I wish it had keyboard controls. I got crushed to death continuously and enjoyed every minute of it.

The art on this is glorious and it feels like the start of something big I’d want to play. Reminds me of Wonder Boy in Monster World, which is a classic. Keep it coming!

Also - hooray for a fellow Godot user! There are dozens of us. DOZENS!!!!

The crayon combat hits really punch but the enemies should probably recoil more as they were on top of me before I landed the next hit. Also BUTTS.

I have never been great at Ace Attorney - but this is pretty deep for just a trash jam game! I definitely want to play more of it. But first, being good at being a lawyer. xD

Great jump mechanics and I love love love love LOVE how you used photos for the trashy textures. Nailed the aesthetic and you LITERALLY used pictures of trash. Hats off.

The combat feels surprisingly tight! Didn’t understand what the soda bottles did at first. Could really see this as a fun co-op game too, Castle Crashers style! So stinky (in a good way, like cheese!)

Definitely nailed the trashy vibe. I am also trash at this game - BUT NOT TRASH ENOUGH!!

I actually love this. So simple and yet it pulls you in - and LOVE the soundtrack. I also love how its inspired by nightmares. I’ve pulled from this as source material as well. But there’s so much exploration for it being so simple!

I like the ricochet hat mechanics! A control tutorial would be a plus, even briefly. Very satisfying when you pull off a throw though! Love the concept.

Really love the visual effect, it’s awesome. I hope you do more with this: it seems like it had more depth in mind.

Dude i am on (trash) open source. I still use Open Office. PLEASE don’t bother to accommodate that. Should probably switch to Libre soon. XD

Hell, if you got it, flaunt it. Well done!

Yeah those leaves came out way better than they had any right to in a trash jam. Thanks for that! Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh maybe it was because i was holding down the mouse after reeling? Either way it’s great work!

Is the file missing?

Great art style here!

You may hold the Amazing Doctor Tentacles to that promise, personally.

Extra Bandaid latte with snotty tissue please.

DON’T LET STARBUCKS HEAR YOU OR THEY’LL GET IDEAS!!! They already put olive oil in their coffee…..
