Really great game. I'm glad I could rate it before the last day

It's fun and a little scary. It's simple, but with a little more lighting or environment, besides not falling and dying, could make it better.

Good work!

Good aesthetics - could have been more lighting and environment. Fun.

Spooky dark. "Shotgun" nice juicy way to announce an upgrade.

Nice game, seems like you could play for a while.

Unfortunately due to personal issues I couldn't play long because of the flashing white on the screen

This is a nice one, but the only thing I missed was how the theme applys on this game, Over all pretty good job!!

Awesome game!

Nice touch with the weapon upgrades, definitely made the game more fun and interesting. Also, great use of particle effects and recoil.

I think the only thing that I had an issue with (which could be an issue on my end) was that the game was quite dark and difficult to see.

Overall, fantastic work!

Ive made a lot of changes and I could really use some more feedback if you get a chance to give it another play :)

Really liked how the game felt to play, the gunplay was satisfying and the upgrades felt impactful.

The greyscale made it stand out, however I do think on longer play sessions it started to strain the eyes slightly.

Overall a pretty fun entry, enjoyed playing!

I love the gun feel, the headshots are really satisfying !
The music is also nice ! it gets repetitive a bit quickly. I think adding more mobility options (like a dash or a sprint) or adding more verticality to the level to exploit the pathfinding of group of enemies could have make it even better !
Good job to you!

TY for playing. I agree it's pretty repetitive, I'd definitely like to add more enemy variety, weapons powerups, etc. (especially a dash since its been mentioned twice now). I would definitely wanna address the map/level too, idk if I should do random/semi-procedural stuff or make a few different arenas to select from if you have any suggestions id appreciate it!

Thanks again for playing, so glad you liked it!

A think one or two well designed arena would be more fun than an infinite of procedural levels with less personality, but I might just like Level Design too much x)

Really amazing work, the shooting feels amazing.

Not gonna lie, at first I had no idea what was going on and was just headshotting enemies until they started spawning at such insane rates that I had no shot. I accidentally figured out you interact with the red square to trade health for weapons.

After I figured that out, well the game jumped leagues. It's awesome.

The sound is minimal but so effective, and I loved it calling out my current weapon on each upgrade.

The graphics are also extremely effective, it was super cool to see that giant enemy structure crawling from the side of the map out of nowhere.

I am unable to get past the AK47, the orbs from the enemies don't get to me fast enough to replenish my ammo which leads to some weird reloading interactions.

I would also love some more mobility, like a dash, or just more movement speed in general. The physics was kinda slidy and I would occasionally accidentally run myself off the edge of the tower when going for an upgrade.

Great entry, feels great, looks great, sounds great. I recommend everyone try downloading it as well for the best experience.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it!

I definitely could have made the upgrade system more obvious, it was a deliberate choice to have it be something you discover but I'm not sure it was the right choice.

I'm so glad you like the graphics I was worried it wouldn't look cohesive.

the main movement mechanics are rocket jumping (which ofc requires you to unlock explosives) and bunny hopping which is a bit niche. A dash or something additional is a great idea and if I were to iterate this game further id definitely add powerups or a skill tree to include it.

Thanks again for playing, and thanks for the review!

It's a nice one. I really have fun while playing. But I didn't get the feeling of the "paying the price" theme though.

Developer(+1)

Ty for playing! Glad you like it. :) And you pay your blood/hp to the blood forge.

Ah, I thought it was related to the kill counter combo. Now it makes sense. Thanks for clarifying it.
