The idea is great! i liked the strange 3d/2d mix! But you need to polished it a bit i guess. The craft system is a bit unclear.

I finally found another game that uses 2d and 3d assets in the same game, ahahah, okay so overall thoughts are that is a very good entry! as someone else mentioned it is really hard to understand when you hit the big guy as there is no visual feedback, The sounds effect reminded me of a very old NES videogame that I used to play when I was little called Kickle cubicle :) good job!

Nice! Really dig the 3d zombie - I was actually planning on doing something similar in my game so really happy to see it done here :)

The thing I think could be improved on is indicators for hit. Right now it's not super obvious that the boss was hit, and I feel like it's missing some 'juice'. I also wish the art style was a bit more cohesive - I love the 3d in 2d but it does look a touch out of place.


Overall the ideas in the game was pretty nifty and I think this can be expanded!

Thank you for playing! Yeah when we started this project we had a lot of ambition and took too long to realize our scope was too big for what we had which ultimately lead us to miss out on those sorts of things like game juice. I hope you enjoyed the game and appreciated the feedback!

I liked the pixel art and the idea behind the theme. In terms of the gameplay, I feel like it could use some visual indicators because sometimes I can't tell if I actually hit the boss or not and when he chucks that gravestone it seems to just appear, or maybe I just suck.

Yeah there were some things we had to cut due to time constraints so we missed out on some important details. The gravestones do have visuals to indicate when it's landing, there is a shadow that appears when it starts to fall. It took us a while to try and find a good balance because at some point it was really easy to dodge by simply walking around. We even timed the gravestones throws to about the same amount of time that the dodge recharges so that it always felt like you just barely made it!

Given it was made in Unity there should be a download version of it. Maybe the gamepad controls would be working then...

We had made the scope of the game too big and we're having issues making the web build that we were unable to submit the downloading version in time. Lesson learned for next jam! Hopefully you managed to play with keyboard controls at the very least! Appreciate the feedback

Fun game! I enjoyed the variety of weapons you can use. Bosses felt well balanced not too difficult and not too easy. Nice art style and the 3d bosses were a nice touch. Good Job!

the whole ass 3d zombie in this pixel art game is so funny i rly rly enjoyed it. the gameplay was fun but i had a hard time seeing the crafting/swapping stuff because it was blocked when i was in fullscreen (maybe an issue with my browser, chrome, but idk). otherwise good job!

The pixel art is excellent, and the 3D of the zombie boss is also excellent, but together they feel off. I had a hard time attacking anything without getting hit at the same time (usually the small zombies more than the boss), even when spamming the dash. This led to a lot of deaths before getting the boss to even 1/4 health, which I think is mainly a result of the craftable weapons not doing much damage. Crafting weapons from stuff that zombies might actually drop is really cool! It seems like the shovel and the bone did the most damage, but they were also getting me killed with how close I needed to be and the fact that I only had a split second to get one hit in before being hurt. The stone can only be thrown in 4 directions, which was unexpected since everything else on screen moves across all angles. All in all, there's a good concept here. Some balance in damage and health will go a ways, and consider evening out the mix of 3D and 2D elements (or consider going with one or the other).

Wish there was audio. Wasn't a fan of the 2d//3d visual mix. But the theme seemed unique once I read the instructions haha.

Thanks for playing! There is music and audio, and the volume is adjustable in the Pause menu.

There is music and audio, however, Unity's Web GL builds while still better than before still has bugs and we were unable to iron them out before launch. It's possible the audio may have been bugged when you were playing. Hopefully you still enjoyed playing the game. Thank you so much for the feedback!

Fun game with great visuals (love the 3d bosses, mixed in with the 2d). The theme was incorporated nicely with the crafting system and the music fit nicely with the game.  

I think it would have been good to incorporate some way to heal during the boss fight and not just after defeating the boss (unless this was already in there and I missed it).

Other than that, great game!

At some point we had considered the ability to create a piece of armor that could protect you temporarily but we didn't feel like we had enough time to properly implement it as well as rebalancing in order to make the game still feel challenging. Thank you so much for playing!

The mix of 2d and 3d goes in well with the make-shift theme and the sound-fx are nice. Nice Game!

Art direction was very cool- I like mixing 2d and 3d. To be honest I've only two problems with this game.

1. There wasn't feedback when hitting the big guy- I didn't even know if I hurt him.

2. Crafting was weird. So I collect a rock, and use it to craft a rock? That's seems less like crafting and more like having a rock :) 

One more thing- I need to give you credit for one of the better game titles in this jam. Kudos to you sir.

It was difficult to try and incorporate the 2d/3d mix without it looking weird and overlooked that little detail. The projectiles were a scope change and it was a bit hacked in but I think it worked out well! Thank you for playing the game, did you beat it perchance?

Really fun experience and the bosses being 3D are a nice touch, it's tough but overall balanced, the weapons could be more creative though as 3 of them do the same thing.
