i like the diced effect once you're dead haha

fun concept, I loved how everything is well explained and feels well.

I'd tune the speed up a bit, but that's just me. I couldn't try the windows version so I did experience the visual bugs, but no worries. Only thing I'd change is a faster respawn, as it took me to the start again and I felt like I had to go through a lot again to get to where I was. besides that, fun game, well done.

Developer

Thanks for reporting the windows version bug and the feedbacks, they are the key to improve!

The Idea is great, however the graphics, audio and stiff controlls dont make it easy to enjoy

still controls mean that the character goes from 0 - 1 in an instant, there is no acceleration or deceleration
For the graphics i ment art, there are no graphical issues, however the pixel art could be a little better

Developer

Ok, thank you for the feedback, I'll use it in the future

I loved the artstyle! The game is well polished and the movement was fun.

Developer

Really fun game. Until the first death, the sounds didn't work but the level design and art was really good.

I loved the artstyle! The game is well polished and the movement was fun. The only thing would be that text in the game over menu was very big and the buttons wouldn't fit. FYI my resolution is 1366x768.

Developer

Thanks! I will fix this problem, thanks for the feedback

pretty solid game, but there arent any checkpoints in the levels, which makes it feel a bit unfair for me. I do like the concept for the whole "Escaping Yourself" thing though, thats pretty clever :) the visuals are pretty nice too. Good job on this!

The physics of jumping and moving through the platformer feel solid :) The characters are cute, and being chased by "yourself" gave a good sense of urgency. Great job!

Amazing game! The movement in this game is probably the best part, so off the bat you start by teaching the player to be moving fast, and though you can actually move quite slow, the fear of your shadow is a very scary one at first, so you learn to get away fast, and if the player is moving fast, then they're bound to make mistakes, however, you implemented tons of platformer QOL, such as cayote jumping and early jump press storage, and as such you can play as fast as you want, and you won't be punished for playing this way. This leads to a very fun frantic experience, similar to what you'd find in a polished non-jam game. Oh yeah, and on another note, I should probably also tell you about this glitch that I found. So, if you jump, move over to a wall, move away from the wall, and then move back, you will have achieved a very weird glitch that lets you jump infinitely many times on walls without requiring you to switch walls or touch the ground, in fact, touching the ground actually reverts this state. This lets you get out of bounds in the second level, and it allows for some cool other tech.  Anyways, good job on the jam, and good luck with the sequel!

Developer

You nailed it! I was very severe with the controls.  The glitch you found is a known glitch that I had no time to fix, so I intended it as an help for the most observant players like you! Thanks for the time you spend writing this comment, feedbacks like this are very important for me. Thanks a lot again

nice simple artstyle good use of sound  and good gameplay a tad difficult but just makes the player play longer well done on the submission

Developer

Thanks!

Nice game! I would say that it feels a bit difficult, and the spikes are probably the most unforgiving. But the atmosphere is made perfectly!

Please do try my own game, feedback is highly appreciated: https://zap21.itch.io/survive !

Developer

Thanks! I'll rate your game  :)
