How does you game fit the theme?
Reality can be very subjective, the fear and imagination of a child can render the mundane horrific, monsters real. Confidence can erase them.
On his way back from fetching a bottle of wine in the cellar, the child is scared by the sudden darkness and quickly imagines his worst fears. The Walkman he chances upon is his only way to escape his nightmares and return to the entrance of the cellar.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote all the code from scratch and used some fx assets, which are all mixed and edited (credited on the game's page) as well as our own.

I loved the audio and graphics. This game was hard. maybe making him a bit faster when he is terrified. Other than that, good job. :)

It was fun figuring out how the walkman worked in the world and the use of it was rather cute and new idea. It was my favorite part of the game. Granny needs to fix up her basement layout.

Very cool! I love the aesthetic.

A lot of games in this jam have the mechanic where there is a "real" world that you can only view temporarily, but yours meshed it with the theme in a very unique way. Very well done.

It's also very polished, I think it's one of the best games in this jam!

Not gonna lie though, why does granny have a nigh infinite cellar? backstory on granny when??

Developer(+1)

Yes, granny  has a particular taste in architecture. A backstory might explain some things XD

Developer(+1)

We did not have time to explain it well, but our initial goal was to have a playable introduction where the child has to go through a rather ordinary and small cellar. And when he gets to the shelf where the wine is stored, the light in the cellar goes out. This is where imagination and fear make the cellar deform in size and scattered with different obstacles.
