How does you game fit the theme?
It's Generally Pleasant Outlook Hour down at the ambiguous beverage establishment (your favorite one!) and you've been invited out by your immediate social group for a round of drinks. You're all primed for a good evening, except--
You're the only one there without a date.
Naturally, you do the most sensible thing and lie about having a long-distance girlfriend in Canada, who's totally real and super spicy. Now all you've gotta do is keep up the facade for the rest of the night...
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes.

Not really my type of game (but this is totally personal).
However, to be objective, I have to say that you did a great job, whether it is artistic or gameplay (special mention for the save points ;) ). I really liked the humor and how you played with the theme.
I want to come back later and explore all the possibilties.
I have to admit, you finally almost convinced me to play more of this type of game ;)
Ah yes the slimy snail girlfriend from Canada! I did not see this interpretation of the theme yet. This game was really fun and made me laugh! I love the artstyle of both the environment and the characters, and the fact that the player was called mc. Barbarrara (I think) was upside down for a bit, I don't know if this was supposed to happen. The music did get a bit repetitive, but it didn't bother me to much. And you added a very well made settings menu! Well done :)
The artstyle is very nice and the story is great !
I've played this for a video, It's now up!!
The presentation alone is amazing, nice direction on aesthetics and the overall feel in the cafe was really cool. It's been a while since I play a text based game. Well done!
I've played this for a video on the Superchocolatemilkshake Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/SUCHMISHChannel
So, this was a cute little game. I loved the idea of making up my imaginary Canadian (though I would have preferred Germany myself) Girlfriend. One thing I think that would have really made this game far more interesting is if there were more options to throw the player in a loop about the lie that they created (like some other physical features, personality, etc.) so when they went back to convince the friends they would have had to remember more. Other than that, great game! (Ho yeah, I forgot to mention, the app fired up on me twice, so the video suffers from double audio)
The drawings are very nice and the story is funny!

This is so cool, do you use renpy game engine?, I'm using construct and it's hard for me to make story based games with different path, just love the graphics!, the music is kinda annoying tho, but overall nice job! XD
You guessed right! Ren'Py isvery good for this type of game and with a little fiddling it's not (too) difficult to keep track of the branching paths, haha. Thank you very much for playing! c:
I'll probably do researching about this engine, I've been playing twd telltale lately and really disappointed about the story branches, I would like to make mine too with this game engine, thanks for the confirmation!
