Very good idea and tough game. Got addicted and enjoyed it, each new start is a challenge. Great fun!

Developer

Thanks for the feedbacks, glad you enjoyed your play πŸ˜€

This is a great take on the theme of the jam! I haven't been able to rebuild my ship yet! :D

Developer

Thanks for your feedbacks, do not despair wit some replay you'll be able to do it πŸ˜€

The concept is cool, I also really loved the animation you added that you showed  on your twitter account, and I wonder how you created that animation!

It takes a while to understand what is going on in the game, so an introduction tutorial would be really nice.

Developer(+1)

Are you talking about the animation for the activation of a module ?
For this one I juste recreate the frames in photoshop, creating a little rectangle inside the module, then made it bigger etc etc until it reach the border of the module (I did the same process of animation by hand for my previous game πŸ˜€)

Thanks for your feedback, I'm definitly thinking on how to integrate nicely a "tutorial".
Feel free to check my progress on twitter πŸ˜‰

(+1)

Oh okay I see, so you created the animation before adding it to Gdevelop!
Yes that's the animation I talked about, it looks really swell!

Developer(+1)

Yep that's it,
Tweening effect would have been so much complicated I think.

(2 edits)

Yes I agree, cause there is no crop function to cut a sprite out as far as I know.

Submitted(+1)

it was amaZing, clever , cool, is one of the few games in this jam that i completed not because it takes you a while to understand all the concepts and the way to complete the actual goal , it deserves a lot this game, one of my favs on this jam!!!!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the play and the feedback, I definitly think this game has a really good fun/strategic potential.
So nice to see that you enjoyed it πŸ˜€

Submitted(+1)

An interesting concept. The graphics and audio match perfectly and I like the general concept.

I only think that there should be a short tutorial to understand quicker how to play, as well as I wish you could turn on fullscreen.

Developer

Thanks for the feedbacks, according to you what are the important point to highligh in the tutorial ?

Submitted(+1)

In your case, I think that the tutorial should include:

1. How to win the game (Seriously, with so much things to use your energy for, I don't exactly get what I'm supposed to do, maybe it's obvious and I don't get it but still I think "rebuild your engine / spaceship" with so many different actions to make and no explanation of what they do can make things confusing the first times you play.

2. What resources are useful for (I got a counter and I think there are actions that turn energy into resources but why am I collecting them?)

3. Short description of every action possible (maybe just smth like "adds 2 energy" would be enough, and ik there are some explanations but still I think it's kinda like "ok I get it but why is that useful?".

PD: If you don't want to make a long boring tutorial, maybe you could add a diary with the result of your actions from the day before and an explanation of why they make chances to win higher or lower, following the same principles I mentioned here.

Hope this can help you. Have a nice day.

Thanks for the details feedback,
I'll definitly take that into account (and I already did it in the post jam version of the game. If you want to know more, check this : https://twitter.com/LumbirBwut/status/1496880601273491458)
To give you an answer on how to play, your objective is to : Get 60 🎲 for πŸ€– and 60 βš™οΈ for πŸš€

For that you'll need to use your ⚑🎲 to directly convert into βš™οΈ OR depending of the value on the πŸŽ² to activate special power/rules.
To give you an example, here below a capture of the left module :

- The first rule transform your "🎲 value" + 2 into βš™οΈ for the πŸ€–.
- The second one will give you supplementary 🎲 to play with, each turn; if you succeed to give 7⚑ points (for eg : One 🎲 with value 4 + one 🎲 with value 3)

- The third one auto aliment the current module, which mean it will not need 🎲 anymore to function (to activate this rule/power, you need to give it a specific πŸŽ² value, here a 4).

Does this kind of explanation enough do you think ?

Submitted(+1)

Yes, I think that's enough to understand the basics, if you put an explanation like that in the update, I think it'll be easier for the player to understand what to do.

Thanks for taking the time to explain, I'm curious to see how this will turn out. :)

Submitted(+1)

Fun when you know how to play

Developer

Yep the beginning is a bit hard but once you figured out the mechanics, it's way easier and funnier.
Thanks for the feedback πŸ˜€

Submitted(+1)

Took me a while to understand how to play, but when I found out how, it was fun <3

Developer

Thanks for the feedback πŸ˜€
What aspect of the game took you time to understand ?

Submitted

maybe adding a little tutorial at first to make things clearer could be nice πŸ’›πŸ’™ Good luck

Really nice approach to building, I liked it a lot, brain puzzler and relaxing at the same time and the music added a lot to the atmosphere of the game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the feedbacks, it's so nice to hear that you like the music a friend of mine composed πŸ˜€

Submitted(+1)

I like this game it was hard I never finished. It would be cool if there were a few more simple levels too (for smooth brains like me) Good use of the main mechanic for the menu and good audio. sometimes picking them up can be hard when i click but don't get them. I also like that it is mobile playable. also loved the emojis. nice item delete animation. I think if the animation for the items changed it would alleviate my only issue.

Developer(+1)

You raise a lot of relevant points, thanks a lot for the feedbacks πŸ˜€
Sure the game is hard, I'm actually reworking a bit the interface/menu/tuto to make it clearer on how to play and how to finaly construct your spaceship. I may do a post on the jam discussion to tell people about it !

Submitted(+1)

i will go ahead and add the game to my collection and await the update

Submitted(+1)

A unique entry and design. I like the music. Well done.

Developer

Nice to hear that you enjoy the music, it was made by a friend of mine.
It adapts based on the number of day left.
Thanks for the feedbacks πŸ˜€

So nice to hear ! Did you succeed at rebuilding your spaceship ?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Nice>>> Really like the Art feeling! (pls rate my game as well)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback ! What did you like in my game ?

Submitted

I like the art buttt... i dunno how to play.... it hard to play.... it just nice...!

Developer

You need to rebuild your spaceship and yourself, for that you'll need to use your energetic dice to active some of your modules that will little by little rebuild it. To give you hints of what to do, at start you must focus on getting new dice to increase your range of possibilities. Once it's done, you'll have access to the central module which have more powerfull option to rebuild you and your spaceship.

Submitted (1 edit)

Dude, I don't mean to be a jerk but like.... chill, people are playing and rating your game don't worry. I've seen like 5 of your comments where you don't give a feedback or substance you just beg for ratings. Rating is important but none of us made a game just for ratings we created art we are proud of. Respect other people's art enough to be sincere.

Submitted (3 edits)

Ok!!! i just want rating!!! my game is not getting a lot of rating ohno!!! (also i already played the game bro)(it take me a day to played 50 games and i'm dieing)

Submitted(+1)

Nice submission. I did not have the skills and luck to rebuild your spaceship and escape from this planet. LOL, I’ll try again later. :-)

Developer

Thanks πŸ˜€
Did you try to focus on getting more dice and having the first module working autonomously, it greatly helps !

Submitted(+1)

Nice puzzle game. It felt a bit hard.

Developer(+1)

Sure it is, but once you find ways to optimise your moove, it is way easier than expected.
Thanks for the feedback πŸ˜€

Submitted(+1)

I like the sound effects when you place energy blocks in places it's so satisfying! I didn't get what should I do or how do I lose but overall I loved how the game looks!

Developer(+1)

I love the sound effect too !
You get to loose if you don't get 60 βš™οΈ for you and your πŸš€.
I'll definitly work on accessibility for my game as you aren't the first to mention comprehension difficulty.

Submitted(+1)

Nice^^

Developer (1 edit)

Nice to hear that you liked it. What aspect of the game did you like ?
Thanks for the feedback πŸ˜€

Submitted(+1)

It's complicated at first but when you get the hang of it, its fun like I played it a bunch of time. Its a unique game design which makes it more interesting to play, Good luck and congratulations on your submission.

Developer (1 edit)

Sure it's a bit complicated, but after a few game, you'll begin to really grasp on good strategy and get more optimized turn.
Thanks for the feedback πŸ˜€

Submitted(+1)

I like the feel of this. It's a little complicated and I think I'm starting to get a the hang of it.

Developer

Once you begin to figured out optimal strategy, I find it satisfying to play !
Thanks for the feedback πŸ˜€

Submitted(+1)

I like the style and the mechanics. The turn limit seems a bit strict. Especially since success is dice based, can't always succeed even with optimal plays.

Developer

I think you are right, sometimes even with optimal plays, you'll fail unfortunately (it's with very bad luck).
I may tweek it a bit after the jam, modify some of the powers.
Thanks for the feedbacks πŸ˜€
