Nice game! I like the background story of Flying Dutchman that you have taken! For 3-4 Days - good progress!

Was awesome, it was my first real published horror game! I did have a bunch of time restrictions due to job and personal life, but in the end I really enjoyed the making and outcome of the game! Feel free to try it out if you dare

Yeah , it is always diffucult to combine jam with personal situation. Same by me -> work  + family.
But I really enjoyed the result that we have done and teamwork!

Will try your game too! :-)

It is, thought I had one more day for it but had misunderstood the deadline, wanted to touch up a few things but, that's also what the jam is about, whatever is the jam entry, is the jam entry.

Thanks!
I will test out your game when I get back onto a windows machine!

Have played your game and rated it! Great Job!

Was great! Even though I had very limited time due to other things. Nevertheless, I managed to upload my game

I am very happy with how my game turned out. I wanted to use this opportunity to expand my knowledge in game physics and immersive interactions. I will probably use what I made as a blueprint for future games.

Cool!  Thanks for sharing your progress with us!
Will try your game today!

Have played your game and rated it, and I think the physics and interaction that you have done - are really well implemented!

Thanks for this experience!

During the jam, I learned a lot of nuances on optimizing my game, since I was making a game with realistic graphics and at the beginning of development the FPS was 3 times less than at the end.

I was a little upset that the project was not compiled due to the plugin update, but after 4 hours I set everything up. Now I will be more careful with updates (although I still work on early access Unreal Engine 5 =)).

Yeah, your games plays smoothely and is itself -> great! Thanks for sharing your experience!

I have also seen many games made on Unreal, and some of them really making my Ventilators in PC work HARD XD

Submitted

Will make a break of playing your games right now, have played at least 10 or something like this XD Will be back tommorow! Hope to see more jammers sharing their games and experience

It was fun. We were happy with what we came up with. Until we realized we made a mistake about the deadline that made us crunch until the very end. Overall, great experience!

Submitted

Hah! I think almost all of the teams haveing the same XD At least we are! We have submitted to the JAM at the last 31 seconds!

Submitted

A very cool game that you have done! Have enjoyed the style!

It is the first Jam I have participated in and I loved the experience. I usually have trouble finishing projects and Jams are the perfect occasion to finish something in a short time even if it is not perfect.

This is our game, its a narrative driven short game with hand made watercolor graphics, any feedback is super welcome!

Unexpected end, which I like ;-)
Hope to see longer version in future!

Same! Really enjoyed this gamejam! I'm not an amateur of horror games but that was a great challenge. And discovering all your games is so interesting!!!

I was just sad because we added a cool shader that was finally not supported on webgl and we just saw it on the last day, so no cool glitch effect on the monitor XD

I really liked this one since I tried something completely different. The past two out of my three jams in total I focused so much on the actual gameplay that the games kind of lacked an appealing look. This is why this time I tried it the other way around and mainly focused on looks, feels and details like different foot steps on different grounds for example :D and I think it really turned out well, I just noticed that the gameplay now lacks a little bit XD but yea it was a good experience to make nonetheless :)

If you want to have a look at what I am talking about feel free to have a look and leave me some feedback to be able to improve upon it!

Was my first game jam and I had a blast!  Ended up flying solo and made a really short game https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2021/rate/1246722. I set out to really try to execute something I could realistically build. Despite life and  work scheduling, I was able to do it without pulling my hair out so that's a win in my book. On top of that it has been a blast playing all the submissions. So many spooky and fun games of all kinds of flavors. You all have some major skills.

I was really happy with how my game turned out! Although, I've quickly realized that I put to much emphasis in building out an exorcism system for my game and not NEARLY enough time explaining how the damned thing works.  In any case, I'm happy and think I have something that would be really fun to build out in the future.

Here's my game if you want to take a look: https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2021/rate/124593

But actually it is quit funny to try the variations  in your game, even if the result  is the explosion of cliend :D
Thanks for such a funny game!

I have had a lot of fun playing all these different games and getting feedback on my own. This is the first time I've developed a project like this on my own and it was a great learning experience. Everyone is really nice and its amazing to see all the talent out there.

I balanced developing this game with my day job and a vacation, I spent two days drawing frames nonstop and then experimented different ways of digitizing them in. It was pretty interesting! I had a lot more I wanted to do, but maybe I'll develop something more.

Submitted

Like your game artstyle much!
Thanks for drawing frames -> it was worth it!
Hope to see more of such "alternate" arts-styles in games.

It has been a learning experience, definitely helped me to get better at organizing, doing research and planning ahead for projects, I have also had a great opportunity to meet new talent with great ideas, and a lot of feedback that I never had before!

This will definitely help me with future projects and the way I make them.

was pretty fun experience.

I struggled  a lot with finding a theme/idea that I thought I could reasonably do in within the timeline. SinceI work F/T and have kids on the younger side (2 & 5) so I knew I wouldn't have as much time I would like having really only nights and weekends available. But it's still fun to take on a new challenge and see what comes out of it! I'm glad I was able to finish... bugs and all lol. Besides that it was mostly learning the Gdevelop while trying to make something fun at the same time.

Submitted

same story for me!
