I have learned I am a bad exorcist.
I have also learned this is a pretty darn good game. Great job!
You know it's a whoopsie when your client literally explodes into atoms. Really enjoyed it, the controls and pattern I had to get used to, but once it was learnt it was quite awesome! I think that would be the only thing missing is teaching the player the different patterns
Thank you! Yeah, it is definitely somethin I'm going work on going forward. I really want to flesh this out into a full game.
You know what, the game loop is simple but I had an absolute blast!
The inversions really ramps up the difficulty, I think you could probably smooth out the difficulty curve by introducing new concepts (double possession, triple possession, inversions etc) on new days.
Also the Esc button instantly yanking me to desktop without a confirmation threw me off when trying to close the book.
Very minor criticisms of an otherwise rather good little game! Bravo!
Thank you!
I'm definitely going to work on difficulty curve and the escape button was just something I slapped on at the last second because I realized there wasn't a way to quit without tabbing out. Also, definitely going to fix that going forward.
Funny and nice playable game! A like those corporation and daily work vibe.
My most favority scream sound :D
Thanks for this nice game!
Edit: Perhaps you could try our too ;-)
This is really funny and humorous! I could not understand the instructions in the book at all and was hoping to learn what works by trial and error, but then the inversions came and then it was hopeless XD this really needed an interactive tutorial, while leaving the book as a reference if you forget or mix up something. This is a nice concept tho, well done!
I totally agree with you! I got too into making the system that I didn't really think about how to convey that to a player. I'm definitely going to work on that in the future.
Thank you so much for playing it though! I really appreciate it! :)
This was really fun. As someone who is both a creative and who has performed exorcisms in my day, I'm surprised I've never thought of that pun! The music was great, and the idea was really quite interesting. My major gripe is that, firstly, there is not enough time to read any of the book on the first day and still meet your quota, and secondly... well, there's just no way I could reach the quota. My max average score per day was 5.
This would be a really nifty VR game, by the way.
Thank you so much for playing it! I agree with everything you said. I got way too excited about building everything out and didn't think about actually making it player friendly. I love the idea so I'm going to work on introducing things a little slower and either upping the time in the day or cutting the quotas.
THANK YOU!
