Pretty fun concept, just unsure how I'm losing. I don't really understand how to protect the folders inside the documents, clicking on them doesn't seem to do anything.

The disappearing cursor is a frustrating mechanic especially on a web version and as far as I can tell, doesn't reset when you lose so you have a lot of difficulty restarting the game.

Cool music and presentation.

Thanks for playing. Some of the folders will get infected (they will have a bar under them) around every 10 seconds, you need to click on those folders to fill the bar and recover the folder. If you failed to recover them and the bar gets to zero, it's game over and the game should restart.

I understand that the disappearing cursor might be a bit unfair and I'll see what I can do for next update ^^

The cursor still disappearing on restart is indeed a bug, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I'll try to fix it after the jam is over.

wow! really fun and fits the theme perfectly! the music is incredible! For some reason the game would occasionally reset to the tutorial which is weird. Overall really great submission!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it ^^

The game reset (game over) when any of the system folder's bar gets to zero. (press the button on top right of the screen to check it) We didn't have enough time to make game over scene, so sorry for the confusion!

Art style and music goes very well,. The gameplay is really chaotic and demands a lot of attention and eye coordination.

My recommendation is to add a random skull that would be a game over, making it more demanding.

Thank you for playing the game i hope enjoy it :D

i think we could possibly put that in the near future when this game jam is over :)

Simple style art, but great, and I love the control, its easy to learn the game! Hows mine?

Developer

Thank you i hope you enjoy :D

also your game is epic :)

I want to play but...

Developer

Sorry, but is there any problem you encounter while playing game?

if there's one you could reply my message and we will do what we can do :)

Minimalistic design is good, the game took me back into 90's. We were creating such joke-programs where the 'Close' button was moving away from cursor. We were true hackers lol.

Clicking here and there on viruses bores pretty soon, but still nice game, thank you for my nostalgia.

Developer

Thank you for playing our game ^ ^

if you maybe had some suggestion for the gameplay you could reply here :)

My mouse disappeared from time to time. Was this intentional? :D

Developer

Thank you for playing ^^

Disappearing cursor is intentional, and it is one of the random events.

Submitted(+1)

I like the concept and the OS interface is well made. I absolutely love the music: it motivates the player to play faster. But sometimes the mouse cursor disappears wich makes the gameplay difficult.

Good work!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Disappearing cursor is actually one of the random events, you can still click normally even when it disappear if you place it correctly. But I can see that it might be a bit unfair and I might change it for next update.

love the retro style  graphics. had fun playing. couldn't figure out what to do with the 'open system' tho.

Developer

Thanks for playing! You have to open the system and protect the folders inside it (by clicking on them), if any of the folder's bar reach zero, it's game over and the game will restart.

The mouse disappearing is very, very unfun. Everything else is well-designed. One of the only few games I rated 5 for theme.

Developer

Thanks for playing! The disappearing cursor might be a bit unfair and not really fun, I can see that. I'll see what I can do with it for next update. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the game though ^^

This is literally the ultimate definition of chaos. My eyes were everywhere. Love the aesthetic of the game. The music was awesome. Nothing more to say. well-done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you ^^

loving the game, my eyes were crazy with all the tasks but that really shown the chaos haha

Developer

Thanks for playing!

The chaos of being an antivirus, loving it! It is so hard to focus on everything happening and new things are happening overtime, which ends up quite chaotic indeed! Though as I said, it is quite hard and is not for the faint of heart.

Great entry overall!

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it ^^

In my opinion, the player core movement seemed a little bit slow (although itdoesn't seem to affect too much). Also not really a problem but i was a bit confused on what to do with the folders and stuff, but eventually got it.

Honestly though, this anti virus idea is amazing and also quite fun to play. The graphics and artstyle is simplistic but nice looking.

Overall I would say this is a nice and fun game with a lot of potential!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The movement is slow because I wanted the speed to be slower than the virus. Sorry for the confusion, we'll try to add tutorial after jam is over, glad you enjoyed the game ^^

The music reminds of playing megaman series, nice job on the choice. It really adds to the feel of the game. The game itself is very nice looking and I do love the concept of antivirus fending off viruses. I also love how chaotic it gets as you progress in the game, making this game fit very well to the jam's theme.

I don't know if its just my browser but my mouse keeps disappearing and reappearing a second or 2 later and the game keep restarting after a certain point.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, we spent a lot of time to choose on the concept and music. Glad you enjoyed it ^^

The mouse keep disappearing is intentional and is one of the random events. The game will restart itself (game over) when any of the folder's bar in system (press the button on top right of the screen to open) gets to zero.

Submitted(+1)

ahh cool.. thank you for the explaining it, it makes more sense now :D

Submitted(+1)

Haha, I enjoyed all the little features you added like the files box moving around the screen xD Nice work!

Developer

Thanks, It was really fun to create those features ^^

Submitted(+1)

i just randomly die sometimes

Developer

Thanks for playing, you have to recover the folder in system (press the button on top right of the screen) by clicking on them. If any of those folder's bar reach zero then it's game over! But if you have done that, it's probably a bug and I'll try to fix it.
