This is a great mechanic! I think that with some more mechanics this could easily be a full-fledged game!

I think this has a lot of potential!

Along with some sound effects, I think a good idea to expand this concept would be a "turn limit", which would reduce the brute-force method for solving puzzles, and allow for a simple rating or par system to reward players who think before acting.

Discerning the optimal order for turns could be quite difficult if denser, hazard-rich rooms were designed, but of course, I understand these are longer-term goals. Adding optional collectables that must be fit within the limited number of turns would allow players to give themselves optional goals to further the difficulty for extra reward.

Really great concept and I'd love to see this developed further!

thanks for the thorough analysis, all great suggestions!  I’ve been working in the game some more after the jam and I’m planning on incorporating quite a bit of that

Nice game. very neat clean graphics. could use some sounds

Cool idea! Sprites are cute and the mechanic clearly laid out. I did get stuck at one point when I fell through the phasing blocks and that seemed to glitch me into a wall. But apart from that, good job.

this is really cute! I think there's some quality of life adjustments that could be made (such as a zoom-out on the camera when the screen rotates), but overall, nice job!

Very clean and polished, nice core mechanic. Some sound effects would have been good, and the levels were a little easy, but I think they did a good job showing off the conceit of the game. Congrats on getting this out there on your own in a weekend.

having any sound, even just a beep, would of been good. also a mechanic that was negative with the turn.  like fall damage,  its pretty easy to just spin the map and go.  took all the challange away

For a first attempt, its really good! Try to get some simple sounds in next time

Really cool idea! The gameplay was nice and polished and the puzzle elements feel very clever. I think this game definitely shows potential for more if you wanted to continue working on it.

Really fun and nice game! Movement felt really nice and the art was really nice and cute! The level design was pretty creative and the difficulty was pretty nice! On one of the levels, when I rotated, I got stuck in some of the boxes that didn't rotate with the level and I would be able to double jump sometimes, but I didn't notice anything else and they didn't really take away anything from the gameplay. Overall, very nice and simple game!

Great art style. I don't know if this was intentional, but I was able to complete the first level without rotating, and the door wouldn't open unless I rotated it back to normal. Also, the character is able to clip the platforms if you jump to the left/right of a platform, and hug the side. Other than that, great stuff!

thanks! The door being in the correct rotation is part of the design, but I didn’t have time to really communicate that in game. Edge colliders do allow you to slide up walls/double jump. It’s a bug I’m planning to fix post jam
