I really like the theme, and as a scientist I love seeing more games get these differential equations involved :) Seriously, great job!!

As for feedback, I agree that some visual cues about who is eating who would be great. If you keep working on this, some summary visualization of the trajectory of populations with the initial conditions that the player tries would be awesome! Of course this is high  dimensional, so there's that.

I really like the idea of a ecosystem simulation!
It was hard to get into, but when it clicked... it was super fun!
I think a quick sketch in the description about who is easting who, would make the begin way easier!

One of the most original game I played in this Jam.

very cute! love the idea! i think I accidentally skipped part of the tutorial though and didn't understand what each unit was doing though. I like the fun fact about extinction you added when only the rummy's survived!

Cool original idea! (not so original comment, it seems...)

I found it too bad too that there's no progression in the complexity, but you've managed to focus to have a working game at the end of the jam!

all the bungees sure like hanging out in the top left corner hehe.

Great job making such a game! Loved the cute grass and weird creatures

Really nice idea, it fit the theme perfectly! I love this kind of games where you just “let it live” and try to have the perfect balance!

I never would've thought about an ecosystem simulator for the theme, but it fits so well, and it's very cute, too.

However, I think I would have enjoyed it more if the different critters were introduced only a couple at a time in the tutorial. Having them all right off the bat was pretty bad information overload, and it took me forever to figure out what each did, even with reading the description. Really liked the cute little critters though.

WHAT I LIKED:

- Simplistic graphics

- unique concept (I honestly haven't seen another game like this)

 WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:

- Too much information for my taste. I thought it was a bit too complex to learn on the fly and get into.

IN CONCLUSION:

- The game functioned well for what it was intended to do. It was a unique concept and graphics were pleasant to look at. Game was responsive. I wasn't really able to get into it though just because of all the different stuff to remember.

Coolest game ever!  Love the graphics!! Great job

woaah really impressive interactions, the systemic work that mustve gone behind this was surely overwhelming! Great job on creating a simulation game in 48 hours

A very cute and fun game. I like ecosystem simulations and it perfevtly fits the theme. The art and naming of the creatures where also great. The facts when you lose are also a nice addition. Good work!
