A+ name and presentation. I liked the Sonic 3D style courses, too. I think the joined controls detract from the game more than I thought they would. Maybe it's the level design? Especially in the double jump level, I had a lot of feelsbad moments with one ball going off the course when I was trying to get the other into position.

The core concept of "golf except the whole obeys the same rules as the ball" is a really cool idea. I'd love to see that refined and developed. There's some really cool ideas at play here. Well done! And that polish! Well done everyone!

Basically the best game I've tried so far, congrats! Miss a restart button as other might already told you!

Developer

Thank you! You can press R to restart :)

Great concept. Great art. Satisfying to shoot.

Not sure if I was doing something wrong, but sometimes the game would get stuck when the balls are really close, but not quite together yet. Would require pressing R in these cases

Developer

Thank you! Yes that's a known bug, unfortunately very prevalent, thanks for playing! :)

You guys made this art during the jam? How??? That's insane! I think the environment art is the biggest selling point here. Amazing job.

The camera also seems very polished for a jam game, I have to say.

I think the concept is interesting enough, but I think the controls could be tweaked a little bit. When I saw that the controls were "click and drag to shoot" and I even saw the "shoot arrow", in my mind that actually registered as a "charge-up meter" and that's what I thought it was initially. So for the first level I thought that shooting was done by holding down the button and releasing, which built up charge over time. Then in the second level I realized that that didn't work, and went back to dragging the mouse.

Sorry I know I'm rambling - I think what I wish to convey is: holding the button to charge up the shot felt a lot more intuitive to me, and I think that would convey more of a feeling of raw power, which could make the game more fun on a level of "juice".

Also, I totally understand the design behind having the balls fall off rather than bounce off, but again at a kinetic level, I see the game being more fun if the balls bounced off walls rather than falling down.

Other than that, I think the game is still quite fun, especially because of the art, the level designs, and the smooth difficulty progression of the game.

I would love to have your rating / comments on my game as well, so I can know what to improve too.

The artwork for this is just gorgeous! The title art is likely the best I've seen this jam.
Needs a lot of weak, careful hits because it's very easy to fall into pits, so feels a bit too slow. And the inability to properly restart made it more frustrating, but overall I enjoyed it.
And I really appreciated how each stage's music is slightly different!

Developer

Thanks man, although you can hit r to reset shot and T to reset hole

Very neat idea, and tricky. A little buggy, but looking past that I did enjoy it :)

I feel like I should have enjoyed this way more than I did. It's a great idea, fun graphics, and the controls were well done. Maybe I expected more of a golf game, and this felt more like a puzzle game

I love this. Minigolf is one of my favorites. This is such a unique spin of basically the hole is wherever you make it. Fantastic work all around

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it! :D

This is a cool spin on golf! It would be neat to see what other sports could be changed up as well. I also absolutely love the art for the game.

Developer(+1)

Yeah! It's always fun to imagine new spins on sports!! Would love to play some low gravity dodgeball someday. :3

Thank you, jzucc12!!

A really fun take on the golf genre.

Super awesome art and music. Cool concept, I love golf games. Some polish to the level design to adjust the difficulty curve would improve the overall experience. Also, some blocks on the floor seemed solid but were not, and that felt super unfair.

Overall good game, I liked it. Good job.

Hello, this is the level designer that worked on this!

I totally agree with you. You can really see that the curve is not great especially considering Course 7 (which is pretty easy compared to the adjacent ones). I wanted to change the order of some levels, but that was relatively low priority in the task list. Also, the white blocks with no collision were something that I would definitely tackle next had we more time. Sorry for that!

Glad you enjoyed, Elendow! Thank you for your feedback!

the game is very polished and the concept is great. your presentation was off the charts, absolutely the best i've seen in the jam so far!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much notiiivan, that means a lot to hear :)

The graphics are really amazing and the sound design is really good too! I like the concept of making a golf game without a hole to reach and instead having two balls that need to connect with each other. There was a point when I was playing when the balls got close to each other and tried magnetizing to each other, but then they just stopped and the game wouldn't continue until I pressed R to retry my shot. Also, it looks like the brown ledges don't have any collision? Other than that, I really enjoyed this!

Developer

Thank you YoyoFio! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game, I checked out yours as well and I really enjoyed the art! The two things you mentioned were known bugs but unfortunately we didn't quite have time to fix them, thanks as always for the feedback! :)

Incredibly polished and fun; I'm sort of shocked this doesn't have more ratings already!
