Its a nice very simple platformer, that fits the theme well :)

Hey! Nice little game audio fits the game well. The camera movement is good, and the controls felt responsive. Great Job ju5t1nj.

This game definitely fits the theme well, but I really like it! The sound and music that plays as you beat the level and jump is awesome and I love the polish like the trail behind the player. My only complaint was that the jump did seem a bit floaty, but otherwise great job!

First of all, the graphics and gameplay fit the theme almost perfectly! I love how you had a little blur effect on movement and a squish animation on landing. The gameplay was solid, the amount of air control was nice although sometimes it was a bit easy to overshoot jumps. I think the respawn time could be reduced slightly too.

Overall a really great entry and amazing for 72 hours!

Developer

Thank you. Yes, ugh, I mentioned before that I almost reduced the re-spawn time, but mistakenly decided not to. Thanks for playing!

Squish animation on the character looks really good, and the win animation is also really cool :)

I’m not that good at platformers, though, so unfortunately, I didn’t manage to see all your levels.

Audio is also pretty pleasing.

I kind of wished for the platform tones to be more in-tune and creating harmonies, though. But I guess that might just be an artistic choice, though?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah I though about the harmonies of the tones...right now they just playing randomly. I tried to choose notes from major chords to sound upbeat, but I don't know anything about music so it was a haphazard attempt. Glad you liked the game regardless!

Ah, understandable. Cool idea, though. Maybe try a few different scales and see what comes out? I think random notes from a pentatonic minor scale should be a pretty safe choice.

LOVE the ambient drone background music!!! very addictive game :)

Awesome, thanks for playing!

The Presentation of this game is fantastic. The simple graphics and sound work together perfectly. Very reminiscent of mobile games like blek. The controls are tight, although I personally prefer less slippery controls it is at least very consistent and predictable. The game's biggest issues are that it takes far too long to respawn after dying and that there is no coyote time (the ability to jump in mid air for a moment after walking off a platoform).

Submitted

Yeah ive made it like that to be able to see your stats 5 seconds delay

Developer

Thanks for playing! I mentioned the dying in a previous reply and agree with feedback on controls.

Make the death a bit faster, less slippery control, and we got something really good! Liked the sounds a lot!

Submitted

agreed! and maybe a little cheater coyote jump too!

Developer

Thanks for playing. I'm mad at myself for the long death, because it's coming up often as a point of critique. I seriously thought about shortening it a few hours before I submitted, but there is something personally satisfying about the falling that I enjoy, so I kept it. Oh well! Thanks again.

It looks great! I enjoyed the little noise every time I landed on a platform!
