Great work. Great ideas and the music really lifts the mechanics well!

Fun :)

Cool concept, idk how the theme works.

And I wish I could turn around.

Developer

Thanks!

It's more that being downed/losing all your health doesn't mean failure and can lead to progress.

This was a lotta fun! Unique concept with telling the character what to do instead of controlling him. Goodeth job!

Developer

Thanketh very much!

This is pretty cool! It took me a bit to realize there actually was strategy to it -- I started out just randomly flailing and was doing OK since you can't really die. Once I realized there was strategy it got more fun, but it would definitely make it more interesting if there was some challenge or reason to not die, or way that dying affected the game.

Oh I also loved the humor and the fake EM english, "thou have the jelly plague" killed me XD

Developer

Thanks, i'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Pretty fun game, very easy to start and understand. Some of the blobs were a little bouncy which made levels last a little longer than they could of.

Solid game, good job

This is uncharted territory! Instead of directly controlling the player, you take the form of someone who gives commands to the 'player'. Would have been perfect for GMTK Jam 2020. Great game! Kepp it up!

Developer

Thanks :)

Lmao this game has major Newgrounds/Miniclip vibes, reminds me of QWOP with the weird control scheme, I kinda liked it! It is not that easy to control but I think that is kinda the point.

I think if you could improve anything it would be make it more clear what I'm doing these quests for, and which I have already done. Overall though it is definitely one of the more unique games in this jam

Developer

Thanks, I did play a lot of Newgrounds/Miniclip/Armour games/Congregate back in the day.

Yeah, I should've made that more clear especially as you can do them in any order.

Cute combat system. Not sure if the squire commands are really necessary over traditional movement keys as it just felt like I was doing movements with a less efficient mouse motion. I could see a faster and more controllable hero with enemies that keep the same fun bouncyness, though maybe an upper bound on their speed.

Developer

Interesting points, yeah I've also had a comment about people not understanding the commands. So buttons would help there too.

Original and funny concept! I enjoyed and had some unique, crazy moments. :)
Great work!

I really liked the mechanics! Fun game! Although I would like to have a "Turn around" option and you should also put in a deterrent in the corners, as I found the best strategy was just to stay still in the left corner adjusting the sword. With some more polish and more level design I could absolutely see this being played a lot. But it didn't really go with the theme. But fun!

Thanks, yeah I agree. I would've like to add in an extra sword to solve the 'enemies are behind you' problem. Thanks for playing, will check out your game now

The game was hysterical! My biggest complaint was the combat...until my wife started playing. I thought it was boring, but then I realized I just suck at the game XD. All in all, I do think the combat could be spruced up a bit and some sort of UI to let the player know they succeeded in a quest would be great. Thank you for a fun experience!

Developer

Glad to hear your wife was good at it XD.
Yeah the combat needs a bit more and it definitely needs something to say you've done a quest.

Thanks I really appreciate the comment.
