A Candy Crush-esque game. Just got the base functionality in before time was up, but will continue working on this minigame!

Hold Right click down to readjust view then left click on objects to destroy them.

There is a  short pause between being able to click objects again (This will be fixed later!)

Yay!

Yeah, had a number of bugs that we had to fix and Jonas was kind enough to let us submit late.

Ni Nate, Thanks for that feedback. Sorry about that, I agree it is quite slow we didn't have much time to balance the game unfortunately. It something that I will definitely update after the jam is finished. As for the theme, the goal set out by the narrator is to bring the three NPC's back together, to unite. During the game, the NPC's ask you to complete a bunch of tasks, which if you fail, will actually bring the NPC's together, meaning you succeed.

Yeah super true. That's the main lessons we are taking away from this jam. We still had content to implement but had to cut it short. Thanks for playing :)

Nice game, I wish it was a little longer. The animations were super cute!

If you have time, I'd love for you to check out my game :)

Nice work. I find its, simpler the better with games. The concept is really good and is actually a great one to use as a way of changing the difficulty for players dynamically that you could use in other games you play too. Great stuff!

If you have time, I'd love for you to give my game a go :)

Nice one, great idea for the topic! The contrast between the big boss, scale of the level and size of the player is great. It makes you feel small. I actually found it hard to lose ahaha:)

If you have time, I'd love for you to give my game a go :)

Thanks!

Sorry about that, we had a huge bug, but have fixed it now. There are plenty of funny moments if you'd like to play again :)

Haha yeah she was great to voice. She's a character I'd love to revisit in another game.

Thanks!

Thank you, we had a great artist and composer work on it! Sorry about the characters speed, it was a weird balance to get right. We ran out of time to get the animations done n the player so it really feels like the player is slow.

Thanks for playing. Not sure if you got stuck, but at that point you can go and talk to the geologist/grandson on the other island with the volcano. Glad we could make you laugh!

Thank you so much. It was a lot of fun to make. We had to stop ourselves from laughing during the recording sessions :)

Thanks for playing. We had loads of fun with the dialogue. If you go directly down from the lumberjacks house there should be a tight cluster of trees within view of the NPC. Otherwise you can actually burn the guys house!

Thanks, yeah have a bunch of stuff we wanted to do and the scope ended being big regardless. I've rated your game :)

That intro music caught me off guard hahaha. Great work on the game, there is loads of potential there. Keep working on the game after the jam!

If you have time, I'd love if you tried my game :)

The atmosphere of the game is very dark and sinister but the character and trail really work there. The controls are very smooth too, fantastic work!
You can still work on the game and I'd love to come back to it once you've developed it a bit more.

If you have time, I'd love if you tried my game.

You're game has a lot of potential, many places you could take it. If you're able to, you can still work on the game and add some more things.

If you have time, I'd love for you to check out my game :)

Rated :) Check out my game if you're able to: https://ponds.itch.io/granniesgrumble

Great work. Great ideas and the music really lifts the mechanics well!

Nice game, great simple design and perfectly fits the topic, great stuff. Next thing to add would be some little sounds or background music. Bosca Ceoil (I think thats the spelling - look up the Brakeys tutoral on youtube) is a great free bit of software for that. If you have time, I'd love for you to check out my game :)

I like the simplicity of your game. Its a little challenging to get used to but I was able to get through a number of levels. Great work! Using a odd engine too, I'll have to check it out. If you have time, I would really love if you had a go at my game :)

The sound effects are super satisfying and the music fits the atmosphere so well. Feels like a casino or club from the 90s on the beach. If you have time, I would really love if you had a go at my game :)

Your game is so clean its amazing. All the components work so well together and fantastic colour scheme might I add. If you have time, I would really love if you had a go at my game :)

Hahaha this was so cool. Super simple concept and great music/visuals. Fantastic work, I can't think of any way to improve this! Max score!  If you have time, I would really love if you had a go at my game :)

My god that music fits so well, great choice. That pig coming out of nowhere scared me haha. Great work!If you have time, I would really love if you had a go at my game :)

Great game, super simple and clean. I really like that. The music chosen fits so well and the dialogue system was perfect. Fantastic work! If you have time, I would really love if you rated my game :)

Fantastic game, super simple, great use of the topic too!

My brother and my friend had been working on the game and wanted to submit but encountered a huge bug so we hastily tried to put together a demo scene that we could update once the bug was fixed but only uploaded the game but didn't actually submit to the Jam :( :( :( We live in Australia and have had to work all day and are just getting back on to it tonight. Our current page is: https://ponds.itch.io/granniesgrumble

So happy to see that there was a late submissions thread.

Great game! Fantastic simple design.

If you have time, please check out my game!

Niiiice! I had a lot of fun playing that. Good job on adding a little story element to that. You could definitely expand this game to a bunch more levels and have a good shipppable product so keep working on it.

If you have time, could you please check out my game :)

Great work!

Great Game! The mechanics are great. I did find in some places that the character would disappear, yet there was still some movement. At that point it wasn't clear what to do.

I can definitely see potential in this game, keep working at it.

If you have time, could you please check out my game.

Great work! Its a very weird game and thats great, a nice take on the theme aswell. I was somehow able to win the game by dying , im not sure if that was part of it but something to look at.

Nice job!

if you have time please check out my game!

Very nice! I didn't figure out for a while that the I could click on the cabbages, but after that I got into the game. Very nice sound effects and visuals. It wasn't clear either what the active items did, but I managed to finish the game without them.

Great work!

Please check out my game if you have time!

Nice work! The controls took a while to get used too, I'm not sure if that was the interpretation for the theme, but it just felt difficult to control rather than fun. Which doesn't mean it was a bad idea. You could still use it but maybe it is a consequence of getting hit by enemies that your controls for a short period flip around, then returning to normal.

Great work otherwise, keep working on it!

Very nice! It feels nice and complete with a great explanation and tutorial. A+

I love the mechanic of getting stronger when you have less health, it means you have a way out of getting backed into a corner. I didn't get too far into the game, but I can easily see inclusion of some boss fights, more jumping obstacles etc.

Also, I found it best to stay on the ground and not jump at all. So if you want the player to have to jump or at least make use of it, perhaps make some obstacles that you have to get over to get on the other side of, with some reason to expose themselves by jumping.

Great Game!

if you have time, could you please check out my game?
