Theme interpretation
We related our game, Moonster Shoot!, with the theme "Moonshot" by having monsters (called "MOONsters") in the game who came from another planet and held hostage the parents of the protagonist, Princess Belen. You play as Princess Belen and to win the game, you have to SHOOT the MOONsters, kill them all, and avenge your father for him to be restored from his throne.

Really nice concept! I love the 3D kawaii look and the gameplay split in different small challenges.

I made it through the end! (proof attached) :) I’m quite proud of it, to cross the bridge was tough. I also had a bit of trouble to confront the final boss, he didn’t want to fight (also image attached) but in the end he did.

For future iterations I would suggest to polish the camera movement and tune a bit the aim while shooting.

Very interesting game overall! Well done!

Haha I liked the theme interpretation. Your UI Graphics were very nice and well designed, however I think the ground textures specifically for the grass could use a bit of adjustment. I loved the funny Chibi characters though, great stuff!

Developer

I agree with the ground textures ahaha, we'll improve it post-jam. XD Glad you loved it! :) Thank youu so much for your feedback @Avatar Nick. We really appreciate it! <3

Thanks for playing!

I would echo what everyone else is saying about the camera*, but I was so pleased by the fun atmosphere to care! Loved that stuff. It was also very refreshing to have some story context up front and to have a 3D environment to explore. Nice job!

*But seriously, cameras are tough. Kudos to you for giving it your all.

Nice game. The sound an artwork is adorable. Controls are easy enough for even me to get it right ^^

Camera movement slightly overcooked but i got used to it after a while. Graphics are stunning.

Good job!

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it! <3

I agree with the camera mentions, but definitely understand how difficult that can be, I once spent a week with trig headache getting a 3D camera right for a different project.  There are probably some good assets that could help you out with that too :).

I think one thing that would make a huge difference is if the left and right movement of the player did not affect the camera, but just the mouse did, I think that's the way this sort of control is done typically :).  As it is, the mouse and left/right movement fight each other.

That said, you did an AMAZING job on the music and graphics, to the point where they actually drive the atmosphere, that's what sells something.  Iron out the gameplay kinks, and you could have some real traction with this.  Keep it up!

Developer

Wow, your feedback really means a lot to us! Really helpful. Thank you so much!! <3

Developer

This really means a lot to us! Yes, we really had a hard time with the camera. Thank you so much, we'll try that out (^ᴗ^)

Quick Fixes: [Edit]

- Broken overlay in game menu

- Allowed Enter and Space Keys in continuing dialogues since "continue buttons" are hard to click

- Enemy patrolling fixed since enemies were not moving in the previous build

- Updated game description

The camera makes the game hard to play, but it did lead to some fun moments. I was zooming around, basically flying, and blasting enemies. I didn't manage to beat the game, but I did have a fun time playing it.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah, we had a really tough time fixing the camera. We'll make sure to fix and improve this soon. Thank you so much! Means a lot! <3

Developer

We're glad you had fun! Thank you! :)
