At first i thought the movement / attacking input method would not keep me engaged as much as it did, it was surprisingly fun and challenging. I like the concept a lot, such a neat mechanic, awesome work!

Wow, I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. What a great little concept using colour to choose your moves! Good work, most unique concept I've come across so far. Only thing I'd suggest is those enemies chase you down pretty quickly, I was struggling to keep my distance :)

The concept is really cool, but the way movement and attacking is handled makes it seem a little unfair. Overall it's pretty good and works well with the theme.

What part seemed unfair to you? I'm really curious

When I was charging up the dash or shoot, I could see an enemy projectile heading towards me, but since there was no canceling, I couldn't move out of the way. I like that you can see the enemies charging up, but if you make a mistake, you can't stop it.

Amazing. While it was a little too hard for me and I wish there was music, I loved the game and how original the concept is.

I like the idea of the game but I didn't enjoy playing the game so much.  Not so sure why. Maybe I'll come back a bit later and play it again.

Leaving that aside, I think all other aspects of the game are cool. The sprites and sfx are great and the main mechanic of the game is interesting and implemented well.

Nice work overall!

I love these mechanics. Good job. What a well polished game. One of my favorites so far.

This is such a cool concept and I really liked the art style! Good job!

This game is really cool!
I really enjoyed the simple art style, specially the attack animation of the eye monster is very cute.
The concept is unique and fits the theme very well, I like that you packed  a D&D like round based battle system in an action game.

I also couln't end the tutorial by pressing 'R' without restarting the game once

Great concept, movement is a tad awkward however and the end of the tutorial was insanely laggy.  I think if you did a little bit more work it could be great.

Hey! That was absolutely not just one bug, but two! Can you see if the game works by pressing R during the tutorial please? :)

Submitted

Yeah you can, I just reset the game and pressed R at the beginning of the tutorial

This is a really interesting concept and was pretty fun to play. The art style is also really good. Only complaint is the "real challenge" in the tutorial lagged the game horrifically for the browser build.

Developer

Did you actually get past the tutorial? There was a bug that spawned infinite enemies in the tutorial, and one that kept you from actually playing the game with enemy spawners and such. Can you please check again to see if it works? You can just press R to skip the tutorial. Thanks!

I was able to skip during the lag and play the game on my first playthrough, but not the second (got stuck in the laggy part), so definitely good to deal with the bug. I just tested it now and it definitely looks like you've fixed the bug. No more extreme lag with the entire screen filled with enemies.
