In what way does your game fit the theme?
The player has total control of the bomb's flow of time. With a press of a button, he can toggle a rewind function on it while being careful with the outcome.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all of the code, but most of the assets are from other sources. (Properly credited on the game and the game's page)

This is really good! Really fun to hit the bomb around the screen

Legendary game! One (if not the best) of the best games that I've seen so far! I didn't play so much (bacause I suck at all games) but it's such an interseting mechanic.

Good job man. It's amazing. The art and music really fits the game, and it is really fun! Keep it up!

*maybe you would also like to  try my submission*

Really liked the look and feel of the game. Art was spot on and the gameplay was fun! I only wish the rewind mechanic was a little faster, but that is not a problem by no means.

Great job!

Please rate and play my game too: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/723414

Nice concept keeping that bomb alive is challenging. I think you were right include the mouse button controls I much preferred jumping and rewinding time with them. I might have missed it but is there a way to kill the enemies or do you just avoid them? Great job very nice looking, nice music and snappy controls.

Thanks. Adding the mouse to jump was definitely an idea that came out of nowhere when I added it, but I’m glad a lot of people is finding it useful. Even myself, I kinda like that button layout a little bit more than the “default” one now.

Also, you use the bomb to kill the enemies. That’s how you get the points in the game

It is really fun!!! That was similar to one of my ideas (but I think you implemented in a better way I would have done). I'd love if you try mine just to know your opinion, as I see you know what you do

BTW love the movements of the character you stop the jump if you release the space (I didn't do that on my game).

I really liked you game as well. Regarding the jump, it’s actually pretty simple to do so. I followed this video from youtube that explains how to do a jump that feels great with as little as “4 lines of code”. It’s implemented in Unity, but the concept is the same in any engine.

Do you really like it? It's great to hear that!!! Thank you really appreciate your answer

The concept was great and i played it a lot. In my opinion i think the speed of the ticking of the bomb is kinda too fast. but it all in all it was really great and good use of the theme. Hope you also try mine https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/724417

Well, I agree. I intented to have more time for the bomb at the beginning, and reduce that time according to the player’s score, but didn’t have the time to implement something that felt nice. So, of course, I just decided to make the player start on one of the hardest difficulties. oops…

The art was great and the music went very well with it! The concept was great and has a lot of potential. I especially love the cute parachuting enemies coming down at you. Nice job!

I had good fun playing

Nice game, I like the graphics and the concept of the bomb.. good job

Great game! Such a clever concept of controlling the time flow of one item and leaving the rest untouched. The movement controls felt responsive and satisfying. Very polished feel overall!

Submitted(+1)

This was deceptively simple. I really liked this game and had a good time with the way that the rewind was implemented. Great game man!

Submitted(+1)

Great overall, I was also one of the confused players wondering why the mouse jumped but being able to use the rewind and jump on the mouse ended up being my preferred controls.

Developer(+1)

It just made sense for me to give the player the option to use both buttons of the mouse to play.. haha I’m getting used to it just now Thanks for playing the game!

Oh wow, it seemed easy during tutorial, but when the real game started it was quite easy to die. Which hasn't stopped me from trying over and over, good job!

Tiny feedback - since the game itself was keyboard-only I thought I should be able to reset the level without using my mouse. But again, it's just a minor minor thing.

Developer(+1)

Even though it could be considered a minor thing for some, I’m all in for improving the user experience, so you’re definitely right on the feedback, and it’s one of the things I’ll fix in the updated version once the game jam ends. Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for playing the game! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

It was a bit hard at first, but you get the hang of it fast, nice game!

Developer

I can say exactly the same Thanks for playing it!

Submitted(+1)

Really polished game. Feels awesome, looks awesome, crazy that this was made for a game jam haha.

Developer

Thanks! I’m really glad you liked the game!

Great game, I think you nailed the arcade-y feel! At first it's impossible, but each time I play I feel myself getting just a little bit better, until eventually I feel like a hammer wielding time wizard.

I lost it

What a great feel! hahaha What was your high score?

Submitted

My best run was about 78 or so, but I finally ended up running into my bomb one too many times :(

Developer

It takes a while to get used to avoid the bomb while you’re rewinding. I was feeling pretty good of my 130, until someone commented on the game page with a screenshot of a 221 score

Submitted

221? Amazing! Although 130 is certainly nothing to laugh at either.
