Cool idea and great art, had to give up on the level shown in the gif, though. I wish there was feedback to show you in which direction you have to move the items, rather you just throwing them around randomly until they get into the right spot.

But I relate to this game a lot. :)

Yea design is pretty neat. Some levels can make you furious, but i like it.

Though there is quite a nice concept, it is quite frustrating to have to move around objects randomly until you find the right spot for the first one in the sequence. I got stuck on the one with all the light blue pencils, and couldnt figure out where to put the smallest one so that i could then put them in ascending order. Reading your "how does it fit the theme" description, I feel the game could have done with some text between each level that shows that you're an individual struggling with being out of control, trying to drown away thought by rearranging their objects. As the game currently stands, I dont think it really fits the theme. Some atmospheric music could be nice. Id say the real focus is really to making the gameplay feel more intuitive for the first object and less of "let's drag this everywhere until it fits".

This is great feedback- very constructive!

We are aware of the frustration involved in placing those first items, and so we're going to implement a sort of "hot/cold" audio feedback when you're getting close to the spot, as well as a visual cue (items will straighten up). A story is also on the roadmap, as is music/SFX.

Thank you LilNarwhal, for playing our game and providing helpful advice!

Very adorable concept, definitely got some OCD effect kicking inside of me! Awesome game. My main feedback was that I couldnt figure out how to turn the pencils. Making that a bit clearer wouldve been nice, but I really loved the simple gameplay loop and really like the art. great job!

the artwork is amazing, the gameplay can be a bit frustrating from time to time, but a good over all experience

Glad you liked the experience, despite having its frustrations. We're going to take the feedback to heart and try to resolve those frustrations of trying to guess the right placement. Thanks for playing!

A good mix of frustrating and relaxing levels, the pencils drove me crazy and then afterwards I could relax by straighening up some pictures.

It was a bit difficult to know when I had clicked on some of the objects and what direction they would change when released, could improve the game by giving some sort of visual indication of the direction something would go when picked up.

Other than that it's difficult to fault, matches the theme pretty well and is the perfect balance between frustrating and fun.

Developer

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment! We are definitely looking to get some better player feedback via both visual and audio queues for when you've got the correct placement.

Amazing art! Love the illustrations, I think with some sound cues as to how to place things would make the game a lot easier to play but overall this was a really good submission!

Developer

Yes, we had the audio locked and missed the upload by about 30 seconds, but totally agree that sound is key for player feedback. Thanks for playing!

The concept is great and the art style works perfectly. With some lovely music and maybe a story. This would make a great game for tablet.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback, these are really helpful suggestions. We are planning to polish the game up and will look to add these in a future build.

perfect game i love the fact that it loops at the end its so satisfying the only thing about placint the things in order was position the first one you just had to randomly drag around the screen that was the only frustrating bit other than that all 5 start

Thanks so much for playing and for your feedback! We're going to try to add some more player feedback so it's not so random when trying to find the hotspots for item placement.
