It's really fun! I liked the hand-drawn art style a lot!

The fact that bullets can collide with each other felt a bit weird, but you should totally keep it as a feature!

Great job!

I enjoyed the artstyle alot and I also really enjoyed the whole concept of this! The hand-drawn graphics combined with the idea of a nerf war and having to call if you got hit or not and how you executed the tiny bit of story at the begnning cutscene makes the game feel really playful and childhood-like which I could tell was intentional. I feel like the mechanic of calling your hits did end up feeling kind of pointless gameplay-wise. It was effective at evoking that nostaligc feeling and being committed to the childhood type concept, but in terms of gameplay, it seemed to lack a purpose, and I just found myself cheating and never calling my hits lol. I don't know how you d add a purpose to not calling your shots but maybe you could be on some Undertail-type timing and have your actions have consequences at the end. Also, once I killed everyone in the game I was wandering the map for awhile trying to figure out if I killed everyone or not (I'm still not completely sure). I think a win screen and a players left UI would p help here. Overall, good job! I enjoyed playing!

Developer

Yup the enemy spawn needs more work, and we had problems with coming up the point of cheating but besides for nostalgia, we couldn't think of anything. Thank you for your detailed feedback!

This was so wholesome and nostalgic in the best possible way. The incorporation of the theme was such a genius and clever idea!

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words!

Very cool and creative idea! I like the childlike art and that it was about a kids nerf battle, it felt wholesome in a way.

I did have a problem towards the end where I felt like I was walking around an empty map as I couldn't find any enemies/friends, but I eventually found them and beat the game (I may have cheated 🤭).

Developer(+1)

Yeah the enemy spawn needs more work, we noticed. And feel free to cheat, its part of childhood nerf battles! Thank you for your feedback!

Hey, this is really cool! I love the art. Very wholesome. It's pretty fun too. I'm not sure how it pertains to the theme, but besides that I think it's a pretty good project. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Oh, the cheating mechanic is the invincibility thingy, you know that feeling as a kid where you feel as if you're invincible when tanking nerf darts XD. Thank you for your kind words!

Ohhhh I see, that makes sense! Now I get it

It would be cool if ammo was more limited, and you had to pick up spent bullets off the ground. Like you do in real Nerf battles. I like your creativity my dude.

Developer

We do actually have the pick up bullets mechanic, but you can only pickup your own ammo. Thanks for your feedback!

Really fun game ! I loved the aesthetics, and shooting kids is always fun :D The cheating reminded me of the good old days. Cheers !

Developer(+1)

Thank you Beardmage! I hope you don't really mean what you said by shooting kids, lol!

Developer

Thank you so much!

Really cool visuals and great interpretation of the theme, I just think there should be more consequences if you cheat like maybe if you are in field of vision of some other dude or more enemies the higher the chance that you will get caught and your score reduces and you respawn. Still very cool and as a fan of airsoft I really enjoyed this, good job! :)

Developer

Thank you Zeka! Im a fan of airsoft too!

Nice concept, and a pretty good execution as well. Loved the whole honor system mechanics of giving player an ability to call the hit. Great work.

Developer

Thank you Mostly Harmless!

Great take on the concept ! The visuals are really charming, and the gameplay is simple but efficient. Maybe the  controls would have benefited from beeing a little bit more dynamic I would say, but overall it was a really good experience !

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!
