Hey, another game with a slick guy called Jack! ๐Ÿ™ƒ

This is the only game that I've seen in the jam that interpreted sweat as slick, and it's a very interesting premise too.

Really cool idea! I do wish the vases couldn't be knocked over when on the podiums as a small bump can send them flying, but maybe I'm just bad at the game. ๐Ÿ˜…

Thank you! I don't plan to expand on the game at this point, but if I do in the future I'll definitely be updating the combo system as well as adding some more levels.

Beautiful poetry that truly only Jack could come up with. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Celeste was obviously a huge inspiration for this game, and it pulls it off very well.

The art and music are very beautiful, the controls are sharp and easy to use, and it was a nice difficulty. That along with the amount of content you managed to make over the course of the jam, bravo! ๐ŸŽ‰

The only criticism I have is one another commenter had as well, the wall jump, it just feels like it locks you to the wall sometimes. It wasn't a big deal overall though.

This feels like a mix of Toca Boca hair salon (my younger brother used to play it) and Good Pizza, Great Pizza.

It was a lot of fun, I especially loved the interaction with the customers and their orders (I hope bunny ear guy doesn't return though).

5/5 โœ‚โœ‚โœ‚โœ‚โœ‚, I highly recommend! ๐Ÿ’‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Hey, first game I've seen so far made with Construct 3! That's pretty cool.

I really enjoyed this one, reminded me of old flash games (in the best way possible). The controls are fun and easy to understand, the animations of the main character are slick, and the UI/menu looks really nice too.

Amazing job, especially since you managed to make it in only 3 days. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Glad you enjoyed it! ๐Ÿ˜„

"My salary needs some polish" is a good way of saying "I need a raise" ๐Ÿ˜‚

Oh Sir! was definitely a huge inspiration, I just tried to do the opposite where you compliment people (most of the time) instead of insult them.

Thank you for your kind words ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it ๐Ÿ˜

I loved Scribblenauts, it's awesome that you think my art style is similar. ๐Ÿคฉ

Thanks for playing!

A game where you run at breakneck speed is always fun. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

I do think the game needs some more challenge, maybe the enemies attack you and/or move around a little bit, or a game over if you get too slow. Overall though, it was a solid jam game and you guys did an impressive job. ๐Ÿ‘

I have no words. The art, the music, the gameplay, the controls, everything about this game feels extremely professional and masterfully made. Truly one of the best jam games I've ever played period. I would have finished it, but I couldn't figure out how to use the bluish green fans.

Add a few more levels and you could release this as a full game on all major platforms it's that good.

This is a really good game. I love the idea of a mailbird rushing around to deliver packages at lightning speed and the controls are pretty good as well.

I do however think there should be more going on in the background. I say this because I really liked the art style for the assets you made like the level select map and character, and I don't know if you ran out of time, but I wish the levels were a bit more lively. Also, the music seems to only play at the start of the level for some reason and fades the further away the player get.

I hope this comment doesn't come across as negative as I don't mean to be. As I said before, the game is really good and I think you did a great job (especially for the time given), I'm just trying to give some constructive feedback on how I think it could have been even better.

Reminds me a lot of a minigame from Club Penguin called Thin Ice (I miss Club Penguin ๐Ÿ˜ฅ). I beat the game and got every fish except for one near the end.

Love the puzzles, art, penguins, and it fits the theme really well. Well done! ๐Ÿง

Feels a lot like Celeste, and like Celeste I failed many time. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I did find the controls a little hard to get used to and I think this game would work a lot better with controller support or dashing with the mouse as another comment suggested.

Overall, really fun game with great art, music, and slick movement.

Paper Mario is one of my favorite game franchises so that's a HUGE compliment!

I'm glad you found the game to be slick like Jack. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I want "The World reminds me of my coworker" to be in an opening monologue to an action movie. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thank for playing! I really glad you enjoyed my game. ๐Ÿ˜

The game is about an ice cube wearing shades, therefore it is doubly slick!

I had fun playing this game, and the upgrades really helped with replayability. Also, the music is absolutely amazing!

I enjoyed this game (couldn't beat the last level with the captcha sadly), but whatever this service was, I'm never subscribing to it EVER AGAIN!

Thank you for your feedback!

I did actually put in weighted distribution, but no matter how I set it there was a problem of some kind (that's why I added discards). I probably should have made the "ands" appear less though as it's still set fairly high. ๐Ÿ˜…

I'm glad you still enjoyed the game. ๐Ÿ˜

Thanks! I was going for a more fun/silly game rather than trying to make a challenging one. Last year for Bigmode Jam I made a trivia game, so this year I wanted to try something a little different (although it still ended up being a card game which I wasn't planning on doing ๐Ÿ˜…).

I'm glad you enjoyed the different themes. Doing the art for the different levels was some of the most fun I had making this game  ๐Ÿ˜Š

The world would be a much slicker place if we were all like Jack ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I kept forgetting the flavors of each veggie, so I was just frantically clicking them every 2 seconds. ๐Ÿ˜‚

This was a fun and cozy little game though, and I liked the little drawings on the orders.

Fun idea and I like the intro story. Personally I think there should be an option to have more time and/or checkpoints more fequently. A difficulty select would work well for this.

With the time that was given for the jam, you guys did a good job. Well done ๐Ÿ™‚

Us birds have to stick together. ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฆ†

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it.

Wow, just wow! This game has so much style and slickness, it's amazing! I feel like it should have it's own arcade game. I have no idea how you managed to make this in just over a week.

The only complaints I have is that my gachapon would randomly hop/bounce at times (might be a collision issue if you wanted to look into it), and the entire game had some pretty bad lag for me, but that might just be my computer and not the game itself so I'm going to give that a pass.

Extremely impressive! Definitely one of my favorite games from this jam. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I started potty training at 38 years old... it didn't go well.

All jokes aside, this is a funny little life sim that I quite enjoyed. I wanted to play to the end, but I accidentally clicked one of the cards as soon as it appeared on the screen which softlocked the game.

I don't know if the game does this already (I couldn't tell), but I think it would be cool if had a higher chance of succeeding at an activity based on the stats I have (more strength would help with sports, more brain would help with driver's test, etc).

"Let's do this Mr. P" is now one of my new favorite quotes from a video game. ๐Ÿค™

Wow, you guys did a lot in such a short amount of time, truly impressive! The different enemy types and cards really helped give the game some good variety and replay value.

Very well done! ๐Ÿ‘

Funny enough, I was actually wanting an extra day to polish it a bit more. I'm glad so many people think it's well polished as is. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you!

Thanks for the kind words! I hope this game helps you with your future interviews. ๐Ÿ˜

Making the dialog system definitely wasn't easy, and I'm glad my brother tested it before I published it as there was a bug when combining certain words that I quickly fixed.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. โ™ฅ

Never did I think washing cars would work as an Earthbound style RPG.

Amazing game, art, and soundtrack. I'd be surprised if this game doesn't place highly.

Looks amazing, I'm sadly not very good though. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

๐Ÿงˆ๐Ÿงˆ๐Ÿงˆ I love butter!! ๐Ÿงˆ๐Ÿงˆ๐Ÿงˆ

Wow, you guys made a lot of levels for this game.

I might be biased cause I love minimalistic puzzle games, but I found this really fun. Great job!

Heyyyyy, Slick!

It's kinda funny that the main character in our games both have the name "Slick" and look similar.

(1 edit)

The characters are slick, the skates are slick, and the game itself is slick. Well done!

The character creator is great fun, made a tank of a man called "The Chad". He was unstoppable in the streets and no dares mess with him now. ๐ŸŽฉ

The game reminded me of the Chao Garden minigames from the Sonic Adventure series. That being said, I didn't really understand the battle system. Sometimes my character would absolutely pummel the other guy, and sometimes the other character would hit me 6 times in a battle while I only hit him 2 times.

It was an enjoyable game overall though, and it's pretty well polished too. Well done!
