But... there's lore. ๐ฅ
Just kidding. Thanks for playing! ๐
I sadly couldn't save the cats... but I got on the LEADERBOARD (for now).
I had a lot of fun with this one, the music made me laugh, and the everything felt really well polished.
If I could give any kind of feedback, it was sometimes hard to see the zombies as some of them are a similar color to the ground, but it didn't bother me that much as I felt it made the game more challenging. ๐
Thank you for the kind words. I'm actually in the middle of developing a full version of this game that goes more in depth to Jesus' life with a LOT more verses/levels as well as other improvements. The world needs more Christian video game, and while this isn't a big game by any means, I hope it will help people and inspire other creators to make games about Christianity and stories from the Bible.
Thanks again!
Hey, another game with a slick guy called Jack! ๐
This is the only game that I've seen in the jam that interpreted sweat as slick, and it's a very interesting premise too.
Really cool idea! I do wish the vases couldn't be knocked over when on the podiums as a small bump can send them flying, but maybe I'm just bad at the game. ๐
Celeste was obviously a huge inspiration for this game, and it pulls it off very well.
The art and music are very beautiful, the controls are sharp and easy to use, and it was a nice difficulty. That along with the amount of content you managed to make over the course of the jam, bravo! ๐
The only criticism I have is one another commenter had as well, the wall jump, it just feels like it locks you to the wall sometimes. It wasn't a big deal overall though.
This feels like a mix of Toca Boca hair salon (my younger brother used to play it) and Good Pizza, Great Pizza.
It was a lot of fun, I especially loved the interaction with the customers and their orders (I hope bunny ear guy doesn't return though).
5/5 โโโโโ, I highly recommend! ๐โโ๏ธ
Hey, first game I've seen so far made with Construct 3! That's pretty cool.
I really enjoyed this one, reminded me of old flash games (in the best way possible). The controls are fun and easy to understand, the animations of the main character are slick, and the UI/menu looks really nice too.
Amazing job, especially since you managed to make it in only 3 days. ๐
I have no words. The art, the music, the gameplay, the controls, everything about this game feels extremely professional and masterfully made. Truly one of the best jam games I've ever played period. I would have finished it, but I couldn't figure out how to use the bluish green fans.
Add a few more levels and you could release this as a full game on all major platforms it's that good.
This is a really good game. I love the idea of a mailbird rushing around to deliver packages at lightning speed and the controls are pretty good as well.
I do however think there should be more going on in the background. I say this because I really liked the art style for the assets you made like the level select map and character, and I don't know if you ran out of time, but I wish the levels were a bit more lively. Also, the music seems to only play at the start of the level for some reason and fades the further away the player get.
I hope this comment doesn't come across as negative as I don't mean to be. As I said before, the game is really good and I think you did a great job (especially for the time given), I'm just trying to give some constructive feedback on how I think it could have been even better.
Feels a lot like Celeste, and like Celeste I failed many time. ๐
I did find the controls a little hard to get used to and I think this game would work a lot better with controller support or dashing with the mouse as another comment suggested.
Overall, really fun game with great art, music, and slick movement.
Thanks! I was going for a more fun/silly game rather than trying to make a challenging one. Last year for Bigmode Jam I made a trivia game, so this year I wanted to try something a little different (although it still ended up being a card game which I wasn't planning on doing ๐ ).
I'm glad you enjoyed the different themes. Doing the art for the different levels was some of the most fun I had making this game ๐
Wow, just wow! This game has so much style and slickness, it's amazing! I feel like it should have it's own arcade game. I have no idea how you managed to make this in just over a week.
The only complaints I have is that my gachapon would randomly hop/bounce at times (might be a collision issue if you wanted to look into it), and the entire game had some pretty bad lag for me, but that might just be my computer and not the game itself so I'm going to give that a pass.
Extremely impressive! Definitely one of my favorite games from this jam. ๐๐
I started potty training at 38 years old... it didn't go well.
All jokes aside, this is a funny little life sim that I quite enjoyed. I wanted to play to the end, but I accidentally clicked one of the cards as soon as it appeared on the screen which softlocked the game.
I don't know if the game does this already (I couldn't tell), but I think it would be cool if had a higher chance of succeeding at an activity based on the stats I have (more strength would help with sports, more brain would help with driver's test, etc).
