Original and interesting. 3D graphics are great, without it the game would not be so beautiful. When I get eaten the game freezes so I have to restart it.

This is such a clever take on the theme! The style and animations were perfect - I loved the little hop to reach the top buttons, and all the little things going on in the background on each floor.

Loved the random moments of watching the wor-men in the background do random stuff! We had nicknames for the floors to remember them, like Jelly World, and Miyazaki's Poison Swamp.

Really well polished game! The strange places were nice

The elevator design is so cool, using that paper-like sheet for the door. Seeing those weird aliens doing their weird activities when the doors open is so much fun. Also, I love the animation of me being eaten. 10/10 strange place.

Really cool idea, awesome visuals and great sound design! The lift operator is also very cute

I was so excited every time I got to stop at a new floor, I couldn't wait to see what the suit dudes were doing lol. Seeing our little green protagonist jump to hit the buttons gave me quite the chuckle! Absolutely loved playing this one, well done!

LiftWorld is a super polished game! Definitely a favorite of mine in the jam.  I love the art style and the integration of the theme (and the cutie goblin guy).  At first I thought the gameplay was too easy, but it quickly progressed in difficulty, almost a bit too much.  I was loosing all happiness from visiting the second wave of floors trying to figure out what they were,  when in the first wave, we were given a peak at them first before the imagery was introduced. I agree with the comment below mine, a slower difficulty progression could do the trick! I got crunched XD Overall a great experience and would love to see more!

The visuals are great! And the game is quite addictive:) great job especially for one person for one week!:)

As a suggestion, I would maybe start the difficulty increasing a bit slower - like let the player visit every floor with button symbols before staring to describe the correct floor with the view.

Oh wow, the visuals for this game are really good! At the start I didn't knew that I would need to remember each floor's atmosphere / enviroment, but in the end I managed to survive for quite a long time. Simple game, yet very unique gameplay loop. Congrats!

Really nice game, everything looks like its made out of clay. Didn't expect that one would need to also remember environment of each floor. Good work!

Amazing entry! A simple yet out-of-the-box mechanic, also the visuals look very good.

Very nice game! Simple, yet perfectly executed! Loved the visuals, loved the sounds and all those truly strange places!

Nothing to critique here, congratulations on the submission!

The gameplay was very joyful and the visuals of the rooms, the elevator and it's buttons were very interesting.  Great game!

I can tell that a lot of love and care went into this game! I love the animation and the polish, the fact that the little goblin jumps when clicking on the higher buttons etc, very nice!

Wow this game has really inpressed me! The artstyle and everything is really good Could you maybe rate my game?

Glad you liked it! I will try yours when I get to a Windows computer, wish you had a web or mac build <3

Enjoyment: I had fun time playing the game and made it in the first try to the top - yay!

Gameplay: Quite nice mechanic to add additional information for rooms besides the obvious button sign. Can imagine adding 1 or even 2 mechanics to add on the gameplay or possibly different difficulties, to cater to a wider audience.

Innovation: Refreshing perspective to take on the role of the lift guy

Theme: Being stuck in a strange place to take strange creatures to other strange places... in my opinion the theme is well applied.

Visuals: Gorgeous models, great job if they were made during the jam! Overall the visuals were very suitable alltogether.

Audio: A good elevator tune was really missing, too bad. But the SFX were good additions, better than awkward silence during those rides.

Love the thoughtful and fleshed out feedback, thank you! Yes I'm upset at myself about no music, unlikely that I ever get the obvious chance of elevator music again, huge missed opportunity :(

the Wormen ate me. I see we really got similar vibes going. I would ve stayed at the gym haha!

Artstyle is super unique in this game. The bellhop is so cute. For the player and guests I'm assuming its a 3d model with some sort of shader?

Developer

Thanks!! Yes you're right, 3d models with a shader. Stepped shading and a noisy normal map :)
