I love the world

Wow what a twist! The unique control scheme were one thing but the twist really caught me by surprise. A total hidden gem of a game. Easily one of my favorite entries.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words. I know it's pretty feature incomplete/lacking gameplay - but glad the twist landed.

Thanks for playing.

Very creative. I loved the unique controls. Pumping and alternating left and right is such a clever way to interact with the world. I would have liked a bit more movement within the world, the objectives felt very static with not much gameplay push or pull. But the world building and overall vibe are top notch. Really well done.

Ye totally agree, I got the basic stuff in and then ran out of time for some real gameplay lol. The first section was meant to have some more interesting stuff - like grafitti to clean (Its in the game 100% working but i just didnt have time to make the actual grafitti so it got cut) and more intersting platforming.

With the second section, I know its crazy there is no jumping or crouching (other than for a secret room) - I made the level in blender and exported it but forgot to save so I was stuck with what was there.

Thanks for playing and the nice feedback.

this is so creative and fun!!! hidden gem of a game.

Very nicely done, I came to try it out after @Deandaboss recommended I do, and it did not disappoint, the quirky walking controls became intuitive and fun to play with, the reloading feels surprisingly good, and the twist, oh lord the twist, even the final thing you do, when you figure it out it makes you feel so smart xD well done, definitely one of the more unique entries in the jam.

This has to be one of my favourite games in this jam so far! The control scheme is so unusual, and yet it feels perfect to reload your water gun with the scroll wheel. The graphics are so appealing to me as well, even when the models themselves are very simple, they blend so well together. And I can't even tell you how unprepared I was for the slick twist, that just boosted in value what I already thought was a strong game. If I had to make any adjustments, I would say to maybe have an additional bar for reloading, as the main one works differently later in the game and it kind of confused me at first. Other than that though amazing job, would highly recommend to anyone else!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the kind words and even more so for recommending the game to someone else - that is high praise.

With the bars - I dont wanna spoil - but the idea was that it would be fun if the same bar was used in different ways, like initially you are filling it with water and then something different. Obviously in the finished game - the 2nd bar doesn't really do anything other than track "progress" and i can see that being confusing - it was originally meant to like actually have some mechanical relevance - like spending it to open doors or something.

Thanks for playing.

I was not expecting the slick twist. I wish I could experience it for the first time again.

lmao crazy controls. It's a damn forearm workout trying to move around. I dig the creativity

Cute visuals and music. I've never played a game with these controls, rlly interesting stuff. Thanks. Well done :]

Slick twist and controllers. I really didn't expect it but it makes so much sense. Jumping is hard but if you use your right hand for the space bar it becomes easier :)

Unfortunately I got stuck on the loading screen at the end of the game :(

Developer

The loading after you enter a name? Thats a shame, will look into it.
I never knew about the right hand space bar tech lol.
Thanks for Playing.

Submitted(+1)

Yes, but I used spaces and "-" in my name, could be related ?

Ahah yeah, I didn't have good motricity enough in my left hand to move forward + jump, so using my right was necessary for me x)

ye because it's using a link/http request to post the score maybe it wont let you use that. I didnt have time to implement anything if the score posting fails, so it would just get stuck on loading.
thanks for letting me know.
