Really solid entry, cool idea, and great implementation.  My main complaint is everything was very dense/obscured.  I had to guess a ton, and I'm guessing maybe I was missing a page explaining how certain things worked.  A lot of stuff packed into 72 hours here, awesome job.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Completely agree! Wish I had allocated my time a little better.

I think this is one of the best games in this jam, i really liked it! Its so stunning what is possible in just 72 hours

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!

Really impressive to finish game like this in 72 hours.

Thanks for playing! It definitely kicked my butt!

Awesome game, very cool implementation, some of the rolls were gnarly. I think to increase tension, the only thing needed would be a list of previous actions to get a sense of battle. e.g:

Rat hit for 2 damage!

Snake crushed for 4 damage!

Guard hit for 10 damage!!!

in a box somewhere on the side. This would greatly increase tension and give a sense of strength to each opponent.

Completely agree! Meant for more details but overscoped a little lol. Thanks for playing!

Really nice game and impressive mechanics. As others have stated, it would have benefited from more in-game descriptions, and I personally think the end boss was a little too challenging, but I really enjoyed this. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! And yeah, I agree, I also tried to balance last minute, but I needed more time!

Very nice game. Loved the gameplay. I almost defeated the boss .. but after 30 min i gave up trying :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks for trying it out! I probably need to balance the game a bit when time permits!

u got all 5 stars except for gameplay, since i really couldnt tell what was going on in combat, and what the abilities do, but for some reason i still got hooked

Developer

Totally fair! Thanks for playing! I plan on adding more visibility around that after voting.

I tried to played it, but it wasn’t perfectly clear what I was actually doing. I figured out the movement and the turn-based idea and the killing for food, but how do these abilities work on the left. Are they just selected with clicking and then they auto-atk?

Developer

Yeah, unfortunately, that portion needed a little more work to describe.
It auto-battles and cycles through them in order from top to bottom (which you can change). Some abilities have cooldowns, so your turn will be spent waiting for the cooldown.

Thanks for trying!

Ah, good to know. Will play it tomorrow to see how my experience changes ;-)

Nice game! I like the gameplay. The only issue is that I can't really tell what's on screen. everything looks quite similar. Maybe some action indicators will help?

Developer

Thanks for playing! Totally agree!

Solid aesthetics! Only lacking some description on actions and enemies.

Great experience overall, big up!

Developer

Appreciate the feedback and thanks for playing!

Very polished! I liked being able to order the abilities. My only issue was it was somewhat hard to tell what was going on during the combat.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Definitely wanted to add ability descriptions because almost all the abilities do more than deal damage, but I ran out of time.

Wow, what a nice game jam entry! The only thing missing is the game over page ... which I would have seen quite a lot! Really love the style and polish.

Developer

It stings less if I don't let you know you died so many times! (would be my excuse, if it wasn't just me running out of time). Thanks for trying it out!

This is exactly my type of game tbh, so I'm a little biased. But the art was really appealing to me, and the sound design felt pretty good.

Developer

Glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!
