Nice work! Felt a little floaty, but movement worked with your level design. I felt like I was cheating being able to commit suicide once the switch was hit, but I see in the comments this was intentional :D Made it to the end, would love to see more.
very fun little 2d platformer with great mechanics and charming viusal style, i noticed one thing which i'm not sure if it's a bug or intended, but it feels weird when you die after reaching a checkpoint and flipping a switch after you respawn the switch is still flipped despite you not reaching a checkpoint after the switch.
other than that fantastic work. i had a lot of fun with this
Hi there.
Yes that's actually intentional. I was hoping to design the difficulty and challenging around simply trying to get to the switch without hitting anything
that's fair then!
Cute game, I enjoyed it, though question on a potential bug, are you supposed to be able to hit a switch an die before a check point and the switch remains hit? It could go either way but seems kind of easy if you can just avoid platforming that way. Still, I really enjoyed this. Keep up the good work. This is a very good foundation for a longer game if you wanted it to be.
Hi, thanks for playing.
Yes, the switches are meant to remain hit. The only goal is to touch them once.
It's similar to how the checkpoints are meant to double as warp points to prevent backtracking over traps already cleared.
The plan (in a hypothetical larger version of this game), would be to use these mechanics to lean into how the difficulty and challenges are designed. Since the player does not have to worry about dying, I have more leeway to make the switches more challenging to hit.
Aaaah ok, good to know. If you make a larger verison I'd love to play it, I followed you to keep up with what you end up making later.
Short and cute plattformer. I liked it :)
Very solid platformer game. The art is great, the levels are balanced and well made, and the controls feel good and not floaty. The use of the theme is very subtle, to the point that even if you removed the TV, it would not really change the game. However, the twist "checkpoint system" is very solid and can actually save you some time while playing, which I liked. The game lacks some game feel in general, especially in the audio side. That being said, I really liked the squash and stretch of the character while jumping. It is a very nice touch.
Solid entry. Great work
Really cute platformer! I laughed that in the tutorial they don't tell you that the fans make you lose; you find out by crashing into them.
other than that, it's really very nice, it would be interesting to see it with many more mechanics and gradual upgrades, or unique to each level!
Hey — I just played your jam entry and really enjoyed the concept and atmosphere in your game. The blend of mechanics and tension works well, and the visual design is engaging. One suggestion: adding clearer instructions or a brief tutorial could help new players understand the objectives faster, and maybe some feedback indicators for key actions would improve the overall experience.

— thanks so much and best of luck in the jam! 😊
Fun little game!
nice game! I like the art, its simple but gives meaning to the gameplay, the animations are smooth and the controls are responsive, I appreciate the effort of making the challenges to spice up a platformer, Overall, I enjoyed playing this one, Congratulations ! keep it up!
nice platformer game but its a bit too slow the movement
easy to pick up and hard to master (imo) it's a fun platformer with a very clean artstyle and snappy controls. Easy recommend :)
It's a very fun game, good mechanics and i really like the art style.
However, I had the impression that the game was freezing, even though it wasn't. Perhaps some adjustment to the character's speed or animation could fix this.
But this was a nice game, congratulations!
Thanks for the feedback.
Would this feeling appear while falling or perhaps jumping? I'd actually like to put more work into my 2D character controller skills, so I'm very interested in this
It was when moving, but I tested it on another computer and it was fine. It might have been a problem with my other computer.
Ah... Thanks all the same.
I'll keep an eye out just in case
Game was very fun to play !I also like the vibe of the game
A cool little game. Lovely art and animations, would be nice to adda squish animation on landing, but otherwise nice work.
The controls feel good, and great job implementing the TREAT option of adding a checkpoint system. I think its good that you have checkpoints before each new challenge, and that once you hit a switch, you don't need to worry about making it back safely, as the checkpoint acts as a teleport back to before that section, but the switch remains active.
Very good start!
Thank you. That's exactly what I was hoping to achieve. I imagined even harder levels with more switches where the player would use the checkpoints to circle back and only had to worry about getting to the switch once
Fun! reminds me of cool math games, you should put it on there!
Fun little platformer! :D
And thank you for adding controller support. lol
Ah.. You tried it. Yes there's actually controller support though I ran out of time to have the inputs in the tutorial toggle automatically based on last detected input.
You can actually edit that in. Fixing bugs and crushing simple stuff like that is fine, but you just can't add any new content like levels.
I'll look into it then
