Thank you very much for giving our game a shot!

Thank you for playing Sweetstead & providing feedback! We will keep on improving for our future projects :)

Thank you for playing Sweetstead and leaving a thoughtful feedback!

I F****G LOVE THIS GAME (pardon my french). Very simple premise executed so well, I'm a fan of vampire survivor and megabonk, this game scratches the same itch! (pun intended). To anyone reading this, go play this gem if you haven't already. That's an order!

Yessir, keep it up and best of luck to your future developments!

It's like DMC but with a grunge art-style that is so loud and abrasive, I dig the ability of juggling enemies in the air with you gun. I think the enemy spawn rate could need some tuning though, sometimes I would get spammed by projectile attacks from all sides and get stunlocked in the process. Overall, it's a solid hack n slash!

Very cute platformer, I like the rolling mechanic that makes the rabbit go lightning speed (I'm a sucker for rolling in the soulslike games, so I'm just biased). The only problem I have is the jarring difference between the standard movement speed and the super speed of the rolling, which makes reaching some tighter platforming section a bit finicky. Other than that it's quality stuff, this is a very promising game for sure!

Thank you so much for playing Sweetstead! we appreciate your insightful feedback and will definitely improve for our upcoming projects. Good luck to you and your game as well, cheers!

A very polished platformer with a very charming art-style and catchy music! I had a bit of trouble in the graveyard level due to the constant perspective shift when jumping mid-air, but other than that it's a really fun ride throughout!

Fun concept for a platformer, having to physically carry candies inside a bucket while also using that bucket as a tool to help you platforming. The gameplay felt pretty smooth & engaging, with a few more elaborate obstacles and levels this concept can definitely go places! good game :D

Thank you for playing our game & leaving a feedback! we really appreciate it. Also cute baby sif pfp! give her all the pets and scritches :D

Thank you so much Fourth Strike, for giving our game a fair shot and for the thoughtful review! We really appreciate the feedback as it helps us learn and grow for future projects. Best of luck with your game too, and cheers!

It's a pretty neat puzzle game, I enjoyed rummaging through the attic reading notes, playing VHS tapes and finding hidden keys slowly finding my way out. If you take your time exploring the environtment, this game is not hard at all because most of the clues are laid out pretty well to the player. The only problem I have is that some areas in the attic are not lit super well, I personally don't have a problem (because I try to interact with absolutely everything in the room) but other people may have a hard time spotting things in the dimly lit spots like near the small trapdoor in the corner of the attic. All in all, with time and polish this could be a very special game! (Also donut is such a cutie!)

Takes me back to the days when everything used to have really tactile buttons & switches (they're overly complicated and I love it!). It's fun figuring out how the different cannon and levers work for each level, I just wish it was positions somewhere on the bottom of the screen instead of the side so I can view both the lever and the cannon much easier. Other than that, it's a solid game. Keep up the good work!

I never thought I'd see the day where 2 TVs are having a fist fight. Jokes aside, it's an interesting premise for sure! it has a lot of slapstick comedy potential. On the gameplay side though, the game will benefit from having more feedback from receiving or throwing punches (be it flashing damage indicator or sound effect), during my first play I wasn't sure if my hits were landing because the opponent just ran straight to me while I keep spamming jabs. Other than that, it's a solid concept and I can see it be expanded into something special! (seriously right now there's no other game where you can see 2 TVs fist fighting, the world needs it!)

It was a nice zen-like experience playing this game, with the calming music and liminal space environment that feels strangely inviting. The mechanic of shifting environment using the TVs is pretty neat! the only gripe I have with this game is the mouse sensitivity which feels too jittery and fast to my liking. Other than that, this game is totally worth a try! :D

I'm a sucker for cell-shaded art style, and this game pulls it off so well. It has a very tense atmosphere that makes me sweat a little before making a decision, it kept me coming back for a few rounds despite the very simplistic gameplay (it literally is just rock paper scissor). Keep it up! this is such a polished gem of a game :D

Thank you for playing our game! we appreciate you for providing feedback to our game :D

Hello KATTXNNA thank you for arranging this! I have played and rated your game. In return here's a game that my team made for the jam https://tavvoc.itch.io/sweetstead-scholar-of-the-spooky-streets I hope you'll enjoy it!

This game has a very cool art style, reminds me of one of those black and white vectrex games which I totally vibe with. The maze doesn't seem to be super big but it's quite easy to get lost in them and get cornered into a dead end by the skeleton. I find it very tense trying to outrun the skeleton while hearing it getting closer and closer to me each time, also the heartbeat sound effect really does add to the creepy factor.

Overall, it's a game with an interesting concept and a striking art style. I enjoyed my time with it :)

Thank you, Ilya, for taking the time to provide such a constructive review. Your insights are incredibly valuable to our game’s development.

Thank you kindly! I have played your game and left a rating + Feedback. Best of luck to you & your game :D

At first I was confused on how to play, but as soon as I start zapping them flecks and statics... I just can't stop myself, I was so hooked for about 30 minutes just cleaning up the screen from static. Until eventually I ran into an out of memory error, kinda wished I played the executable instead. The only thing I think could be improved is to have the ability to zoom out in the upgrade tree, to make viewing much easier (but that's just a nitpick!). Overall, I am addicted to the gameplay loop and will definitely play more of it for sure! what a gem :)

Hey everyone!

I’ve been wandering through all the jam entries and leaving feedback. There’s so much spooky creativity out there!

My team made a cutesy Halloween themed management game called Sweetstead: Scholar of the Spooky Streets. It’s a management tycoon-style game where you hire monsters to go trick-or-treating around the haunted town of Sweetstead!

In this game you train your creepy crew, assign them to tasks that match their quirks (each monster’s got their own stats and personality!), and upgrade neighborhood houses to rake in even more candy loot.

I’d love to hear what you think if you have a moment to try our game. In return I’m more than happy to play and give constructive feedback on your games too!!

Drop your links below, I’ll be sure to check out your games :D

I never thought that baking could be turned into a terrifying horror game, the idea of being stalked by an unseen threat that the player can only detect through a single TV screen in the living room, while having to fetch ingredients spread all over the house is just pure genius. I kept dying over and over again but i always come back and push through because it was addictive! thumbs up, I really enjoyed this one :)

Fun game! I've played & dropped a rating for it. In return here's a game that my team made for the jam https://tavvoc.itch.io/sweetstead-scholar-of-the-spooky-streets I hope you'll enjoy it! cheers :)

A fun twin-stick shooter! easy to pick up and play, the music is also a banger (got me hooked in the zone while slaying a legion of pumpkins). It's definitely fun but could use more weapon types to spice things up, maybe like a shotgun that has spread shot for crowd control or even explosives like rocket launcher! I still had a lot of fun despite that though. Thumbs up! :D

Hi Jambuckett, thank you for the thoughtful gesture! My team created a unique monster/town management game where you can send out and micro manage your legion of monsters to go trick-or-treating. It features a number of unique monster with different traits and a sprawling town to explore. Kidly give it a shot and let us know what you think! https://tavvoc.itch.io/sweetstead-scholar-of-the-spooky-streets I will definitely return the favor to anyone who played our game :D

I'm a Resident Evil fan and this game is on point. Just need some tweaking for the aiming controls (a specific button to switch between targets like in the older tank control resident evil games) also I'm not sure if the fps is intentionally capped tfor artistic purposes, but the game would have benefited from running in higher frames. All in all, it's solid game and I enjoyed it :)

It's a fun first person horde shooter, it even runs very smoothly in the browser! controls are smooth and the visuals are charming. There are only 2 things that I think could use a bit of tweaking though, the FOV could be increased for better visibility and some of the ground collision can be smoothed out so the player don't get stuck too often when traversing. Overall, I had a really fun time! kudos to the dev :D

Hello Muhammad Mustafa thank you for arranging this!I have played your game to completion and rated it as well. In return here's a game that my team made for the jam https://tavvoc.itch.io/sweetstead-scholar-of-the-spooky-streets I hope you'll enjoy it! cheers :)

I managed to finished the game first try (without crapping my pants) it was quite tense I must say! juggling between managing my sanity meter and being able to use my flashlight for navigation is a genius idea. I had a good time with this, easy recommend!

Extremely addictive tower defense game, I throughly enjoyed playing this. The only problem I have is that I NEED MORE OF IT AAAAAAH soo good haha. 2 thumbs up, such a gem! highly recommend :D

I was a bit confused at first because some of the tv got stuck in the conveyor belt and I could not advance. But after a restart everything worked perfectly and I quickly got into the zone, hyper focused on sorting between broken and normal TVs while managing my heart rate. It is strangely addictive and I recommend this gem! really enjoyed my time with it :D
