Solid game jam game. The only real complaint I really have is knowing what to do in game. Maybe the TV explains that there's multiple remotes that spawn in different locations or something. Idk. Other than that though, this was a W entry.

Thank you! I've had a game with this art style in mind for awhile, but this jam gave me an excuse to actually make it. And the way I drop lore. I got the idea from SUPERHOT. Love that game. Idk about strafing, but since I forgot to add angular drag, I know if you move diagonally you can move faster. Thanks again for playing my game!
I loved the humor in this game. Reminds me of something I would have in my game XD This game was pretty dope though. Goofy atmosphere, but the puzzles and mechanics were decent. Sometimes I was a little confused on what to do, but once I figured the first puzzle out, the rest became easy. W jam entry for real. Keep making games.
PS, Donut is a W cat
Aye, thanks man! I really appreciate you playing my game! I'm glad you liked it!
Collision detection was inconsistent you say? I never noticed that while testing. But then again, I didn't TEST it test it, if you know what I mean. If I ever continue working on this game, I'll be sure to try and fix that for ya. And yeah, I hear ya on ambient sounds. I was limited with time, so I was only able to implement certain sounds. I do agree that more sfx and ambiance could benefit this game a lot. Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it.
What a nice little game. The character controller needs to be worked on, but the tv changing the environment mechanic is really dope. If you really wanted to, you could polish it up and make this into a full game! Make more levels and have an interesting story or something. Anyways, cool game man. This was dope!
Hey hey! The voting deadline is coming close, and I need ratings. In return, if there's any game you need a rating for, just send it over my way and I'll be happy to rate it and give you some feedback if needed.
https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3973707 There's my game. Hope you like it! (Please be honest with your rating. I'm always trying to improve)
I will definitely check it out! Here's my game if you're interested. https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3973707 I really hope you enjoy it
It probably won't win, but I'm very proud of the end product either way. Hope you like it!

My game plays out of a TV screen, but isn't super obvious.

The game was pretty good. I can see this becoming a hit commercial indie game in the future if you play your cards right. I recommend you continue to work on it and improve, since as of now (at least in my opinion), the game doesn't have much replay value in a multiplayer sense. I could be wrong though. Anyways, good game either way. Here's my playthrough on YouTube if you wanna check it out.
Your game was the second game I played in my video. I really liked the concept. Reminds me of Slender: The Eight Pages. The pick up and place down mechanics were kind of ass, and the game was on the easier side. However, other than that, it was a pretty good game! Great job! Keep making games!! 8/10
Thanks for playing my game. I really appreciate it!! Yes, the crosses semi randomly spawn and the void gets faster every time you collect a cross. And yes, I noticed the sensitivity and the walls needed fixing. There's a bunch of other problems that I'm surprised you didn't find 😂. I made this game in 4 days, so it's understandable that it had problems. I'll be sure to implement sensitivity and better walls in my next game though!! Again, thanks for playing my game!!
So, this game isn't bad. But there is much to be improved on.
Improvements for future games (Gameplay):
- Make the game longer. This can be done by adding more rooms, or making the game harder. I feel it was too short.
- Keep difficulty balanced. Unless it's a narrative game (where you can't die until the very end or something), you don't want to make the game too easy. On the other hand, you don't want to make the game extremely hard for no reason (unless your game is too short and you need to extend playtime). Keep it balanced.
- Make the player feel immersed. This makes the game more scary (which I feel your game was lacking in) . This can easily be accomplished with ambient sounds and simple visuals (such as lights flickering, pipes dripping, etc.)
Improvements for future games (Technical Game Dev Things):
- The running footstep sounds had a delay when I stopped moving after running. The way I did footstep sounds was to have the object that has the footstep sounds on a loop, and I had it non-active when I stop moving & active when I start moving. That seemed to work for me anyways.
- The enemy AI was a little generic and didn't feel like the enemies described in the story. Especially in this setting, the AI doesn't work. I would do research on certain AI behaviors that you could implement depending on what you wanna do with your AI. Maybe make them have the ability to hear, investigate, that sort of thing. Though I do understand that you had a deadline for the game jam, so I won't judge too harshly.
Things I liked:
- The story was pretty interesting. If the game was longer, I would've loved to explore more of the lore throughout the gameplay.
- I enjoyed the stylistic choice. I'm not sure if it's inspired by Puppet Combo type games, or if you're just not a 3D modeler (I'm not either. The monster in my game is a cube, and I tried to work with that T_T), but I think it works for a game jam game. If this was a real game, I would maybe just add some post-processing, Film Grain, or something like that.
Other than that, the game wasn't bad. I'll drop a follow. Can't wait to see your game dev journey!!
