This felt fun to play! I really liked the little puzzles and wandering around trying to figure out where to go next. It was short and sweet - would have loved to play longer but totally get there were time constraints from the jam. I was thinking I might  get more masks because of the inventory and thinking different masks could do different things? Anyways, nicely done!

Very nice dungeon crawler with quite a few mechanics to play with!

Great demo for a jam, would love to see if you will continue to work on it in future!

Submitted(+1)

hihi this was great to play wiggling around the dungeon!
Loved how you could add Godot.png to his mask and the skulls were saying "Bob Bob" each time :)

Developer(+1)

Haha yessss, I'm glad you were able to figure out the mask mechanic a little bit despite the lack of info on it. We were low on time and one of our developers had grabbed "bah" as a joke placeholder sound, but it ended up sticking :)

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it!

Short and simple but it feels very pleasent to play! Congratulations on the submission, gamers

Developer(+1)

Glad it felt pleasant, thank you for playing and for the kind words!

Fun little tutorial! Would've loved to see more of the game! The atmosphere was nice, and the music fit super well. My only critique would be the sudden ending. Great game though, had a lot of fun playing :)

Developer

Thank you for the kind words, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! We'll make sure to have something more complete for the next one, definitely a good learning experience

such a sad ending haha :D its like ok now you know how to play the game, bye :D
but i understand that its a lot of work to make a 3d game.

The mechanics felt good the atmosphere was good, so really my only complaint is the abrupt ending.
i would have gone with a meta ending or gag ending to lighten it up a bit, just for the jam version.
Maybe a call from the plaguedoctors mom lol. I understand that mom is more important than to continue the quest :D.
Im just kidding and i had fun trying out everything and learning how to play.
Great Game :D

Developer

Yeah, we just ran out of time. We suffered scope creep, and so we had to cut a few mechanics. I probably could have made a second level, but I'm not sure how much quality that would be, so we just decided to make sure the first level was as polished as we could.

Developer(+1)

Oh a gag ending for the jam version would have been great without too much extra work. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely keep it in mind if we're ever in this position again. Glad you enjoyed it otherwise, and thank you for playing! :D

a good tutorial indeed, i just did't really get the mask mecanique nor even really need to use it

Developer

Agreed, our mask mechanics were trimmed down significantly and the tutorial level doesn't offer scenarios to make the mechanic really necessary. Thanks anyways for playing!

Felt nice. Was ready to jump out of the tutorial into a challenge and maybe put that godot icon in my inventory to use. :D  nicely done.

Developer (1 edit)

We definitely hoped we could have got more in passed the tutorial level. I'm glad it felt nice, thank you for the kind words!

Nice game, I would like it was longer.

Developer (1 edit)

I would've liked it longer too 馃槄
Thank you for the kind words and for playing!

It's criminal to get us hooked with a "tutorial level" then end the game right there! 馃槅 I also find the mask-related mechanic in the game interesting but I didn't fully understood what it does. I say it's short but a very good potential for a full game. Would love to see more!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We had a few mechanics for masks planned out, but at submission time we had to cut it down to what was most complete and left us with only a simple "armor" type mechanic by applying herbs in the inventory. Super exciting to hear you were hooked and would like to see more, that's the biggest compliment we could hope for!

Submitted(+1)

That was fun - a little disappointed when it ended as I hadn't had time to really do anything. But appreciated the art, the juiciness and the fun little mechanics you had put in. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! We definitely wanted to build on it more, a lesson in time management I guess. Still exciting to hear you hoped for more of it!

When i pressed the Play button I was greeted by the immaculate settings menu when first loading in. the menu taunted me with its brightness contrast and saturation settings. i felt immaculate joy in moving the slide bars left and right. as i pressed that juicy start button i was greeted with a vintage art style which is really the art style. i ventured through the dungeon fighting slimes and collecting keys. i uhh

good game 6 out of 10馃グ馃挅馃槏馃グ馃挅馃槏馃グ

Good tech demo! you have the basics done, now it's a matter of adding more elements, more enemies, more puzzles and you got a game. Good job!

Developer

Absolutely, we had a bunch planned and the time limit hit us hard. Thanks for playing!

Very short and sweet game.

I like the 3D visual style, but the camera could have a bit more work to not colliding with the mesh.

The enemy was not very obvious.I

I like the overall game mechanic, the game could be a lot bigger if you have some more time

Developer(+1)

I would have liked to fade out the geometry around the camera to prevent collisions, hopefully for next time. I'm glad you liked the main mechanic, it definitely killed us not having time to create more levels and expand on it. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Damn too short! Was really getting into it until it said you win. The camera angle and attacking feels really nice expesially the simple but effective vfx. The  art style is very cool with the main guy. The pushing puzzles were great aswell. Guess the game went for quality over quantity considering you can beat it less then 3 minutes!

Developer

We definitely had a ton more planned but sadly had to cut it down due to time constraints. Glad you enjoyed it anyways, thanks for playing!
