Great game with awesome visuals!

The web-build was a bit stuttery for me but the desktop version ran much better.

Very cute aesthetic, I love the character sprites and the voice acting was a nice touch. I had a good laugh when the game told me I apparently didn't know any Polish and had to go get a book for it. And also when I gave the man echolocation book.

I feel however that there should be a weak small omni-light at the player when the flashlight is on  as when you walk in any other direction than forwards almost entire screen is pitch black and you won't even know if you got stuck on some geometry.

Also you should have a look at your movement/jumping/gravity code as you can climb walls by spamming space and walking at a wall. I was able to skip the echolocation book with that by climbing over the wall(even if it was weirdly tall). I also got to the top of the center room which doesn't feel intended.

Overall it has a very cute aesthetic,a well cradted atmothpere with the music and sound, and a nice idea of finding books to solve problems. It could however use some more polish and attention to details as map elements sometimes float in the air.

Good job and best of luck on future projects ♥

Stop playing spiderman in our game god d*mn!
We appreciate the detailed feedback, it will be useful for when we polish up our game.

Reminded me of Coraline, loved the visuals and aesthetic, very well done, I really enjoyed and was spooked for sure! :)

I like the game, but I don’t like the controls. Camera and movement are very abrupt.

Really really solid and charming visuals. Feels good to play and the level design feels believable. Really great twist at the end there. 10/10 character design, they each has their own personality. My favorite is the foreign exchange student from Hallownest.

really good aesthetic and the movement feels really good. If we could see objectives in a menu, maybe like a notebook or something, and some doorways feel really narrow, and some hard to see. great game tho fr

Developer

Good point… we will probably add in future versions something to make more clear the objectives. Thanks.

Really cool style and general vibe, though the dark sections are definitely way too dark, also I definitely bugged out the game and was able to climb over chad by walking into him at an angle

Great art and overall style, I liked the creepy vibe. I didn't finish the game because I got stuck behind a table in the dark 2nd floor section, but otherwise didn't experience any bugs.

Very appealing art style, and the ending is very unexpected, and loved the fact(maybe bug) that Chad made me company till the end. However I need to point out the weird camera angle, which doesn't help at all in some parts of the map.

Here's another shot of me wall-climbing.

This is true horror ...for the devs. [crying laughing emoji]

I love games that take a cute aesthetic and put it into a horror context, and this game did that spectacularly! Not having music on the top floor really makes the player anxious because of the darkness—that's super cool!

I didn't run into any problems playing, but I did discover we can play Spider-Man in the game by climbing walls, haha! I'll send you the screenshots I took of it.

I really liked this game, which combines the cute characters designs with the creepy atmosphere of a library! (I was surprised by the last scene.)

I love the art style and scary vibe! I sometimes get stuck between bookshelfs but this game overall is very cool

Great art work and general aesthetic! I got stuck against a bookshelf at the 2nd floor, though, so I couldn't progress any further (it happened twice), and it's a little bit hard to align light from flashlight with labels on the bookshelf.

Also, this is how you Polish a game /jk

Very cute art style and visual aesthetics. Though I was getting a lot of lag spikes on web and the movement was a bit clunky (I was able to climb up onto the roof by constantly jumping against it xD).

The art style is really nice, and I love the voice acting and sound design. I sadly couldn't complete it as I never found any other books other than the polish one, and one that was about echolocation. I spotted a couple of odd white books that disappeared when I click them, so I wonder if they just weren't spawning?

My main gripe with the game was how dark it was. I get it's for spookiness but I couldn't tell where I was most of the time and after getting stuck while trying to get up some stairs, I ended up giving up.

Also jumping opened my inventory, weirdly enough XD

Still, super charming experience overall, it has a lot of character and potential.
