Love the dialog and game! Insane boss fight! Pete might be too OP though 0-0 (not complaining)
The music sometimes stops in the first dialog, but besides that the sound design is also peak!

How does your game fit the theme?
Connor has to go through Bubi's labyrinth of puzzles, but he can't do that alone! His pals (Mousey, Chris and Pete) help him along the way, all with their unique abilities!
Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 4 days?
Wow, the vibes of this game are on point! Man, after playing so many adventure games in this Jam that don't understand pacing, it's refreshing to finally see someone that just "gets it".
Love the cinematic feel, the hand drawn characters, and the old point and click monkey island style solving, but with our favorite characters, even the "pause menu". Loved that I can learn some Welsh too, as Chris Broad said in an old interview, "make it educational, make it entertaining" - and this does that in spades.
This delivers what it needs to in the time that it needs to - doesn't overstay it's welcome, and knows what it is. Bravo!
If I had any minor criticisms:
it would be the character switching mechanic, it doesn't seem to always work as fast as I want it to - I understand this is done for the cinematographic photo flash effect, but I feel like a quicker swap mechanic time that's more functional will lead to more fluid and smoother experience.
I also think sometimes the humor relied too much on swearing. I think even without the swearing this ,would still be a fun game, and perhaps appeal to a broader audience, but this is my own personal taste.
but once again, these are minor criticisms, everything else was on point.
oh, that's such a lovely review, thank you so much!!!
i do want to pay attention to the swearing part, i have been told two times already that i put it in the dialogues a bit too much, so maybe i will be more cautuios of it in my future projects. i want for swearing to have an effect, not to be hazbin hotel kind of filler
A point and click adventure, is always fun, and you have done it very well here!
The writing, art and audio are top notch! It's fun, hearing SFX i recognize.
I like the idea of having different playable characters, with different unique capabilities.
I ran into a few bugs though, where, for example, clicking between characters too fast, confuses the game on which is actually equipped, and some hit boxes, were not completely aligned with sprites here and there.
All in all, great game!
aye gurl, does your game have a virus? cause it’s sick as hell!
lol, sorry I had to
this was a blast to play, I’m always a sucker for a good point-and-click, and it was so well made, amazing work!
but small question, wouldn’t it have been possible to make this a browser game? since there is a requirement that eligible game have to be playable in browser, and it doesn’t seem like a heavy game that couldn’t run on a web page
You can always rely on Pete to save the day. Has a blast playing it, great work!
you could put pete on that island where they live like 1000 years ago, and he would become friends with them xD good job as always olezha
Powerpuff Girls Narrator Voice: "And once again, the day is saved, thanks to...PETE!! 💖✨💫"
And I guess Mousey, Connor and Chris did good work too! XD

I found a slight error in this section of the game, where I click the grates in the upper left-hand corner and no text shows, but I hear the text typing sound animation. Just thought I'd bring this up.

As always, it is a downright pleasure to play your games in all these community jams! Keep rocking and doing your best!! 🥰🫶🏽
Really loved this! I was looking forward to playing you game since the last jam games i saw from you! Short, sweet and to the point. Loved the refrences and jokes.
Loved the humor in this one!!!
The transition between characters takes a while (only seems to register the new character after the fade-in has completed), so you sometimes have to switch back and forth again if you clicked on an interactive item too quickly.
i like point and click puzzles and this concept of switching between different pals in your team to solve specific problems with their strengths is a nice leaning into the theme. the designs and unique abilities are distinct and charming and i understood how to use them pretty easily. connor with that nonchalant expression paired with his ability to read "just welsh" gives off a done with this shit aura which is amusing with everyone else clowning on his language. i also liked the detail of mouse saying she's unable to reach the book in pete's room. the animation on the first skelly is particularly cute, having both a bouncy chatting anim and an idle.
i like that the pause button exists and that it turns into a [..] during wait times, but the wait times are rather slow... panning over the room every time was quite tedious, i think you could cut down most of these transitions by like half and it'd feel much nicer to play. but i'm glad the game doesn't make you repeat dialogue all over again if you click on the same character again, feel like that can be easy to miss in these short timeframes. sometimes the character i'd select would bug out when i selected an object and it acted like i'd selected someone else, which was a bit of a problem in talking to the demon guard since i'd already tried talking to it with pete and ended up having to try each character with it until it bugged back to pete anyways?
there were some interactions that felt like a missed opportunity for a dialog, like pete the rizzler having things to say about the things in his room since he'd been there the whole time, or a comment on using shears on the door as i tried to poke its eye out, or the demon guard not being afraid of little 'ol mouse even if she wasn't the solution there, or connor still acting like bubi's biggest fan when you get to interact with him, though maybe the game had just bugged out on me and i'd missed them. but i understand you must've run out of time by the end of it. nice work putting this fun little concept together which feels like more of a complete package than last year's all on your own.
btw your thumbnail is probably like that on purpose and it is a vibe but i do wonder if you'd manage to attract more downloads if you managed to convey a bit more about your game than connor's dead stare lol.
Great Artsyle, super charming, honestly this is a great top 5 contender
Wow! This game is very well done and only in 4 days?! Incredible!! Love the dialogues and the humor lol
I think we had similar ideas when it came to pals. We picked the same pals and gave them their own unique powers! I love what you did and I'm impressed you got it done in such a short period of time
I really like all the game feel like the shaking, swaying, bouncing etc. I feel that's a skill I don't really have the knack for yet. It really brings games like this alive!
Uhh that's a nice one, really like the artstyle (saw the concept arts on Discord so I was like "ohhh it's this one!)
