Ahh the pull mechanic mostly works on hay bales - if you hold E in close proximity while moving away, they should move with you!
Thanks for playing, glad the dialogue was fun :)
Amazing twist on Plants vs. Zombies with an additional thing to manage (activating monkeys using the fruit)!
I adore the twist you put on usual PvZ. The music felt great and I loved the plot as well. Gameplay felt tight and didn't bug.
How tough was it to crank out the art for this before the deadline? Any fun jank that happened during development? ^^
Lovely game mechanics! Lots of fun to have invulnerable buddies following you with their own level-up mechanics!
Gameplay got a bit monotonous after I discovered the strat of just "running around in circles and spamming bananas into the middle of the screen", but the addition of those red-orb-shooting guys quickly put an end to that strat lol
Overall very nice, could do with a little more sound effects though
Love the visuals and the throwback to old point-n-click adventures!
Sadly I couldn't progress past the "rock and podcast mic" stage, since I kept losing the mic whenever I tried to interact with the monkeys in the leftmost scene. Unlike the rock the mic didn't reappear in my inventory and I couldn't click anywhere on the screen to find it again.
Oh I couldn't do all the memories then! At some point the game brought me back to the very first level (with the grey tear at the top of the screen). Then I started dying after walking a few steps, and respawning right at the tear. (I could walk off-screen but the camera would not follow the character).
Aesthetics are really wacky in a good way (as another commenter put it, kind of a 1990s render). Definitely keep the vibrant colors!
I found it really difficult to play on my PC (as it's a bit older), I put the SOS sign together but it took a long time due to the low FPS. Managed to tame a few pals but could not interact with any of the violet fruit (2nd inventory slot).
I like the beach sounds and the mystical tropical music. Could do with some sounds for the pals :)
This game is giving a lot of Undertale!
To me, the "pals" in this game try to get the player out of depression (or anxiety). The dialogue represents the inner conflict of the player character with regards to the dialogue/advice they are being given.
Kudos on finishing the game! Getting something out there in this short time frame is super tough, and I'm glad the game seemed to function correctly for me! Is it right to assume the "You are forgetting these memories..." part the last bit?
(After starting the story, I pressed ESC to go to the menu and remapped controls to arrow keys + right shift, that seemed to work. Sometimes you gotta use Enter to progress).
"Pals" theme definitely fits this game!
I like how chill and simple it is, it's pretty fun to just sit back and let the game play itself sometimes. With a few tweaks to friendly AI's targeting (so the pals destroy enemies more effectively) and some more sound effects for the enemies, this would be great! Can definitely be expanded upon.
This cute puzzle platformer hides some tough co-op platforming mechanics behind a wonderful visual art style! I didn't expect to struggle as much as I did with some levels though.
Your visuals are super coherent, you have different kinds of cool interactivity (water+spikes, levers, boxes), and a control scheme that you don't see every day. Impressive considering it was just a 3-day jam!
Some of the levels felt like "Getting over it" due to how punishing a mismanaged jump was from the cat.
