A good and different use of the theme with some solid visuals and effecs. To improve, prevent units going into the bottom third at the start as it can hides units

Don't know if this was your intention making the game, but I found this to be pretty funny to play. Like you said I just trust my guts and pray to RNGesus after placing my bets lol. It could have been fun to have had a high scores leaderboard to see how much money players can get.

The music was nice, but a bit too loud imo and there was no options to turn it down or off. Would also have liked to see something QoL features like speed up fights or more sound effects.

Overall a pretty nice "autobattler" game, if you can call it that. But I enjoyed it for what it is noenetheless.

It would be better if the betting menu didn’t cover the field, sometimes a few units got hidden, which made the decision-making less accurate. The battle scenes between the two sides were really satisfying to watch. I really like that.

Good gambling on a fight game.  Music fit in really well.  Graphics were fairly simple but sufficed.  Got almost $300, 000 before I threw it all away on the fungus...  Wish I knew more about the combatants before placing my bets though.  Even if it just showed the odds of each side to win.

Really cool simulation game, although I would have loved to make my own matches.

pretty good, could do with a sandbox mode where you can create your own matchup

The visuals are amazing, and I love the physics and enemy variety. It would be great to be able to increase my win percentage somehow, perhaps by taking a risk or even creating my own team.

But that's just my preference, I think you made exactly what you wanted, and I think it's great! Good luck!

I kept playing even after going all-in at 64,000 and losing (ouch), I jumped back in.

Visual feedback could be stronger; combat feels fine, but the UI feedback is quite weak. The bottom UI panel covers the field, so I often can’t see how many units spawned; if I miss the brief UI-free moment at the start, I end up betting without clear info. Consider a small camera-pan window, preventing spawns under the UI, or always-visible unit counters. Overall a solid concept—some UI feedback/visibility polish would really elevate it.

Congrats!

Thank you for your feedback! I actually considered this issue, but the entire UI system was created in the last hour, so I have to temporarily ignore this problem.  o(╥﹏╥)o

Hmm... I wasn't sure about this one, but played it... then played it again... then again...

I think after winning a certain amount, being able to use those funds to sponsor your 'champion' could be cool.  Or maybe the ability to 'tilt' the game in your favour by dropping in power ups that they can pick up... but "oh no the enemy picked it up... dammmit!" That sort of interaction.

The music was banging too and fit the aesthetic well. I also thought the AI battles and the effects etc were top notch. I just wanted to get in on the action myself eventually and because I couldn't I lost interest tbh. It got a wee bit samey but I think with more variety it could definitely be something that'd capture the attention for longer.

Great suggestion! I have envisioned allowing players to spend money to influence the game, such as adding a neutral unit on the field, reducing friction, and activating friendly damage, but I don't have time to implement these ideas. I can only update these after Gamejam is over.

This game is great! An awesome take on the theme with the player betting on AI xD loved the music and visuals as well, very well done guys!

Know I understand why betting is addictive...

Anyway I think that the game is missing a goal, like an amount of money that you have to reach in X rounds.
With something like that it would be perfect!

Very nice game!

Very useful suggestion! Thank you!

The music is awesome!!! But is very high 😭 But it would definitely be better with SFX shots.
I found it really nice to play a couple of times and learn about the different ships as you go.

Haha I was betting everything on Fungus crossbow thing

Cool relaxing game, simple but fun, also i like the physics, one time some small orbs dodged all attacks really fast, that was really awesome
