game felt great and so smooth. the upgrades were really satisfying and felt powerful. overall the look of the game was so well put together and cohesive, well done

Love the game! From the visuals to the smooth movement and shooting system. Collecting orbs to receive upgrades was awesome as it kept me going. It's not an easy game and I love it for that. Well done!

Very nice visuals. On browser it gets super laggy, but thats expected lol. The upgrades were very neat! A little confusing what each symbol meant AT FIRST, but they retroactively make sense. Very fun vampire-survivor like game with loads of style.

I really like how this game very simply nailed the theme!! especially cause it's not a risk you HAVE to take, and that the biscuit isn't the winning objective per se, but more like having all offensive upgrades which makes shooting feels more satisfying, like every good rougelike. (I'm a sucker for items synergizing/rougelike games)
Also love the arcade/crt style!!
I would just like to see the dash being more useful in the first half of the game, and i found it a bit offputting trying to dodge laser while you almost can't see what you are running into if you dash up and down

I love survivor games and so ofc I enjoyed this too!
But for my second playthrough, after seeing a comment mentioning if u double click the powerup you get it twice
Well.. I took it to another level and spammed the more bullets per click power and got like a laser in my hands lmfao
It was pretty fun but it somehow broke the game as after killing a few enemies they stopped spawning
Idk why that happened, but while killing I also noticed that the xp I gained also filled the level bar very slowly after spamming. So maybe when I spam click it levels me up? and I need more stronger enemies to drop more xp to level up quicker. But idk why that also stops the enemies from spawning
(This is still in wave 1 btw)
Other than that, I also noticed that when you hit alot of enemies or grab alot of xp, the sfx kinda starts breaking, like its cracky.
I also like the pixel art alot with the old pc's theme with the CRT effect
Overall, a great game but does need some polish!

Thoroughly enjoyed your game! The aesthetic and the music was on point. Loved how chaotic it got, my browser almost gave up before I clinched the win. Couple of things I noticed, before the laser guys spawned, all the mobs suddenly stood still and I had to go around looking for them, not sure if that was intended. Might have been nice to have the laser guys around longer for more of a challenge. Great job!
Thank you for your feedback, the enemies were just poorly balanced with the laser guys, when i balanced them i hesitated to make more of them or make them stay arround longer because they are quite hard, but thanks to a lot of feedback saying it's to easy we will balance it in a post jam update

I think you can double click the upgrades and get two instead of just one. Also at lvl 5 when those laser guys spawn I pushed them out of bounds. RIP my exp.
I felt like a god after some upgrades heh, fun stuff.
This was the most fun I had in a bullet hell game, I was able to get the 10 upgrades and win :D But oh gosh was that lvl 10 so chaotic, made me feel like I was some celebrity in 2015 Wonderful game and an amazing effort :D

The game had a fun gameloop and I really like the graphics and fishbowl style camera lens, or at least that what the camera felt like. Gave off a fun care free arcade shooter which made it fun and easy to pick up :)

Gameplay is very fun. It felt a little too easy overall, but the power fantasy is still fun. I would have liked to have seen more enemy diversity. The vacuum is something I wish more Vampire Survivor-type games had.

Fun gameplay loop, amazing effects, amazing art. The gameplay feels very polished! Very honestly isnt much to critique however a little nitpick:
First up thanks for playing it and for your honest critique, i feel like the game needs more balancing for the main mechanic (the heal or upgrades get better) to work better , cuz as of right now it's a little obsolete, and when you strip that away it doesn't really fit the theme
I am very biased for games like this cuz this is my favorite genre. I just can't not like it. With limited enemies and upgrades the game is still very fun. And the CRT visual masks the simplicity and make it look quite nice. Not much to offer as suggestions. All you need to do is probably add more enemy types and more attack options.
Plus I love that you could be a literal star radiating rings of death.

I'm not used to play games with wasd and mouse.
So it was pretty difficult for me.

The game looks really polished and sounds great, and the gameplay was quite enjoyable.
Thank you for playing, the code is spaghetti so we didn't get the restart to work before submitting so we just scrapped it, we might add it after the jam though
really awesome artstyle, the post prossesing is incredible. Gameplaywise I was able to just go and shoot in one direction and switch after reaching a border. So it could be a bit more challenging.
All in all a nice entry with supercool visuals! Well done!
Thank you! I appreciate your feedback! To be honest, the original vision for the game was to have different levels that you had to clear, like in Hotline Miami. However, that felt too complicated for the time we had, so we just went with one level and multiple waves instead.
