This is a gem!
I absolutely LOVED the art and the boiling technique used to make it seem more alive, I also enjoyed the story telling a lot in this game!
I just feel like using the theme as a story concept/narrative isn't the best innovative use of it in my opinion, that is the only downside for me, other than that, 100% worth my time!

An awesome game! I really liked it's art style and all the visual effects used. Sound design is quite good too. It feels very atmospheric. The argument part felt a bit confusing at first (due to mechanical novelty, I guess), but became quite easy to figure out after first try. You've done a great job with this one, I wish I could manage something like that myself!

First of all, the character designs are gorgeous! Love how 2200 and 0 looked and all of the artworks are brilliant. The lazy sofa one is probably the best, but I also like the gun point one. Music is also great, and it complements the game well. The story is really nice, and there's a huge amount of dialogue too! I never expected how the game would suddenly turn into a Phoenix Wright game, where you present evidence to rebut 0's claims. Kind of unique in the jam if you ask me. It may be me not paying too much attention, but the choices were quite hard, and it took me a while to get it right. For some unknown reason, the first choice took me the longest to solve, which is a bit strange.

For a nitpick, I would say it would be nicer if there were a prompt to move on to the next room, as for my playthrough in the fourth gun room, I went straight to the bed first, and missed the dialogue about the fish tank. This would probably happen for the other rooms as well if I examine the gun first, and that would definitely break the game, where the player doesn't even have enough information to beat the game.

Anyway, I think this is a really nice game! Well done!

Damn, the art so great and unique. Music fit too. The third time present evident i cant find a way to go though tho

Really cool game, the art is excellent and the story was engaging all the way through. The argument mechanic was neat too, reminds me a lot of the weird little RPG maker games I enjoy!

Such a great way to tell a story! The rooms and the drawings that were made for it really made the game immersive! Great dialogue as well!! I got a bit lost in the argument battle, but I really enjoyed my time playing it!! Would love to see this fleshed out as a full release! Great job!!✨✨😊

This was a very cool game and I really love the art especially, but wew I had to go look into the code to figure out the second counter, I tried so many options for it. Would also be very nice if there was a way to adjust the volume in game, the argument music was incredibly loud compared to everything else.

I love the art and story, music was nice too. ^^

I really loved this game. It reminds me so much of the old RPGmaker games and feels like it could totally sit among the top contenders in the genre. The world building up to the eventual reveal into the debate was hands down the best part. The overall aesthetic is amazing, and I would love to see more!

good job for making a visual battle of thought game. the art is really amazing

Wonderful story, every beat landed perfectly. The dramatic music midway through caught me off guard in the best way possible. I hope the lack of a web build doesn't turn too many away because this game is an experience

Really cool art.

Incredible artwork, truly. Love the music as well, but I did get stuck at the part where I had to present evidence o was looking for. I might just be stupid, I couldn't figure it out lol. Still, great game.

I'm in the same boat. Fantastic game, but I couldn't figure out that puzzle, even after like 20 minutes of guessing. I would gladly play the game again just to see what happens next if someone posts a solution though.

Yeah me too! I'm still curious.

Third statement, 'I never wanted this'. Calendar.

Apologies for the lack of logic testing and confusion. ☆⌒(> _ <)

Thank you for the feedback. It is appreciated.

Thank you! I went back and finished the game, it's so incredible, thank you for making this.

I think the issue with the second argument is not that it's confusing, more so it's that there are just so many options that made sense to me. I was pretty sure it was the calendar, but I wasn't sure which statement (and I really did think I tried "I never wanted this" + Calendar, but I guess not). But in my desperation I tried like 40 different combinations, trying to link together the words of statements and the objects, like how the aquarium is described as "empty" in the statement but clearly had a fish, or at least an image of one. Anyway, clearly I was just overthinking it.

Holy shit this is incredible! I didn't think I'd see an amazing RPGMaker game in this jam! The writing is phenomenal! The story is gripping! And the gameplay is simple but wildly effective! The game is so stylized.

This is incredible and you should be proud! Great job! <3

wow.... I loved every bit of it! what a atmosphere....

Ohh another narrative game!! I would love to play it - is there any chance you can do a webbuild?

Submitted

Very atmospheric game, has a professional feeling to it. Only nitpick is that on Mac resource/cpu usage is pretty high, maybe uncapped framerate? Otherwise works fine after moving to a different folder.

Still playing through and figuring stuff out.

I'm stuck in the first room T_T Maybe I'm just stupid but I have no idea of what to do to escape this first room. Any tips to help me ? I really want to explore the rest of your game. I enjoy a lot narrative game made during game jame. The story you made seems so intriguing and I love the aesthetic.

If you're talking about the very first room, you just need to interact with the yellow text on the wall.

If you're talking about the room with the TV, you just need to interact with all four objects to continue: the gun, couch, TV and poster. ^^

Oh ok, with my screen I can barely see the yellow text on the white wall ahah

I played the rest of your game and it was really well done. Congrats ;)
