wowww the are and designs are so cool!! i love the concept of drawing runes for different spells too, i've kicked around a similar idea before. i think it could maybe benefit from auto-straightening the lines we draw a little so it's clearer what shape is gonna come out. an in-game compendium of spells wouldn't go amiss too
This is a great take on the theme and I liked how the spell drawing and character position were tied together. Felt really fun to hit a spell without taking damage. Nice work!

fun game! i like the spell casting mechanic, it's interesting, but the way spells are cast is a awkward, doing five sharp angles is a bit odd, i feel like another shape would have worked better(or even a new shape for each spell)

Really enjoyed the art and visual effects on this one! Casting spells based on the drawn shape was a cool idea (even though I ended up mostly just drawing vague shapes as it was faster). Good job on the game!

The spell mechanic is very clever and creative! I also liked how you indicated the health of the enenmy by their eye count. The art is good and the game is very polished. I think the music wasa little bit unfit for the game. I liked it though! Very cool game, good job!

The character is very fun to control! I love how the sprite flips over when it changes direction!
Very fun to play! my favorite part about this game is flipping the witch's sprite :) also you can kinda cheese and cast every single spell by just drawing straight lines lol

Fun and actually hard to implement take on a GJ theme, was thinking of implementing something similiar being inspired by Witch Hat Atelier, but thought it would take me ages to make shape recognition work, while not flawless Arcana Loop handles it well.

Fun fast paced gameplay. And though game core is about precise control it doesn't punish you for not drawing correct shape most of the time anything is of use. Loved that direction mattered. The only think I disliked is that spell completion sometimes lagged, but it's prolly optimization issue and I think I should take away rating for this in GJ:D

Thanks for playing! We use the Ramer–Douglas–Peucker algorithm to fit the shape with a polygon and then compute the number of its vertices. The spell completion lag is a bit weird. The .exe version might be better.
