It looks amazing, but I couldn't  walk on my pc. Everytime I press it just moves 1 pixel.

Developer(+1)

Hmm... That's very strange... Did this happen on the downloaded file or the web page?

(+1)

It was on web, but while I was using Teamviewer to remote control my pc. It's working perfectly without! Good luck on the jam :)

Fun little game, clean and well presented. Variable jump is good. Nice loop mechanic but felt a little linear in the end. I feel like there's much more you can do with this idea!

Submitted(+1)

Great idea, and great level design to make you understand it. The movements are fluid and feels nice. Only thing I could say is that it's a bit straightforward and you don't have to think too much to finish it. But that's my love for puzzles talking, and it's nice sometimes to just go and enjoy the game. Very good job !

Concept is super unique to what I have seen in my time, plus I really enjoyed the gameplay! Awesome work!

A polished game—I like it!

Awesome game!

Here's a video of my playthrough, which contains my feedback. I play your game at 2:55:58

Developer(+1)

Wow! It's cool to actually see someone else play my game! I completely agree with your comment about how even though you can swap between levels its still essentially a linear playthrough. Oh... and the slow level swapping mechanic too. My biggest regret for this game is turning into a key hunt, but thanks for playing my game and making a video about it!

Submitted(+1)

The idea is interesting and could definitely be expanded upon for a full game! As it stands, I think the game still has some flaws, such as the fact that the walking, jumping and level transisioning feel quite slow, but the idea is certainly solid and I'm curious what you could do with it in the future!

Developer

When I was making the mechanic I had it a lot faster but it kept breaking, and since I was running out of time I just decided to slow it down sadly. I might do a "post game jam" update at some point and fix this. Anyways, thanks for checking out my game!

Submitted(+1)

No problem, hope it works out!

It would also be great if you can check out mine! ^^

Solid gameplay and well polished.  I think there's more potential here for sure.  Some traps or enemies could make the experience more challenging.  My only critique is the level swapping feature was a bit cumbersome.  I think giving the player control over which level is chosen next would improve the experience.  Especially if later levels get more complicated.  Cycling between more than three levels in the current implementation would be frustrating.

Developer

I completely agree that the current state of the level swapping is too slow. I plan on giving the game a "post-game jam" update at some point after the voting period ends that would fix the timing of stuff like that and maybe some other features.

Thanks for checking it out though!

The best game I've tested so far. Definitely the best take on "Loop" I've seen. Needing to go between levels to complete Puzzles was a great Idea. Also, the art has no business being this good in a game jam. Bravo!

Submitted(+1)

Really nice concept and great take on the them! Nicely done!

Submitted(+1)

This is an amazing concept! I LOVE your take on this theme to mean "looping back around" to something. 5 stars for creativity, and also great stars on the artwork. This is an objectively pretty game!

I like the sound effects, but wish there was music. My only real issue with this game though is how clunky the level swapping mechanic is. I broke the game twice while trying to use it, and kept misinputting which takes a long time to undo.

Still, stellar entry!

Developer

Wow thanks for the stars! I really appreciate it! And yeah I wish I spent more time smoothing that mechanic out. I am curious how you broke it though. Would you mind telling me how it broke so I can attempt to fix it?

Very nice little game. I found myself wanting more after beating it. One suggestion I would make is to reduce the animation time, waiting a couple seconds between each level transition and item acquisition felt a bit annoying. Otherwise I liked everything about it and it felt very polished.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out! I completely agree that the transitioning needs sped up

Love the Art, Sound Effect, and love the Game Design

Solid entry! Puzzles were not too difficult to figure out which made things pretty fast. The physics felt good, didn't have any control issues. Fun game!

Submitted(+1)

Nice player controller and neat concept!! Congrats on completing the jam! And I totally get you about players reading signs lol, so hard to like convey how the game works and so frustrating when people don't get it. Art and music are solid too, and the SFX are pretty well balanced I'd say. If you like puzzle platformers feel free to check my entry out!

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks for checking out my game! I was worried people wouldn't figure out how to use the main mechanic in the game and the signs were a last minute slap on

Submitted(+1)

Cool twist on the theme. Really juicy too, feels great to play. Good stuff.

Developer

Thank you! I care a lot about how a platformer feels when you're moving the character so I wanted it to feel juicy and floaty

Submitted(+1)

The concept is really cool and original ! Congratulation for your game :) I really enjoy playing it. Did you planed to continue it after the jam ?

Developer(+1)

It's definitely something I would like to expand upon in the future, whenever that is haha

Thanks for playing!

That's so cool ! I follow you to stay tuned :))

the level switching surprises me ! It's great !

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed my concept!

love the retro art (shoutout kenney!), original concept and gameplay!

Developer

KEEEEEEEENNNNY!!! I love his pixel art. The only thing I had time to animate was the character and most of the UI haha
