Oh this is BEAUTIFUL for a jam!

Decent amount of level, VERY good visual and artistic feel, relatively well debugged for a game jam entry, and overall something I have to give 5 stars.

I am wondering though: Is there any clue to the torch puzzle other than it being "two torches"? I wasn't sure if trying every combination of two was the intended solve.

It's a bug! I didn't account for different resolutions while making this, unfortunately. Going to make sure to keep it in mind for future jams, but lesson learned :)

Absolutely love this game, man. Crazy what some people can do in such a short amount of time in these jams.

Hey, would be interested! I do work full time unfortunately, but I'm okay at both programming and 2D art! I consider myself a beginner, but I do have a BS in CS and have done art on and off for years. Let me know! Feel free to message Olivrrstray on discord!

This was a really good game! Creative, and the pen and paper mechanic was REALLY nice! (Couldn't get the typing mechanic to work, but I didn't need it!)

A bit slow-paced,  so I think some background music would have been cool :) Still, will come back and finish this one tomorrow!

This is the kinda stuff you gotta love in a jam. You did great man!

Creative take on the concept, good level design, and pretty good animation. This is a great solo dev first project and you should be proud of yourself!

I think this game is cute, to the point, and VERY much on it with the theme!

My one qualm is that the gates/switches are really janky and moving a body even a little bit can mess stuff up, even if you move it back. Had a lot of trouble  with that.

I love the start screen though! Very creative way to teach someone how to play and get them used to the [E][R] controls! That's top tier stuff.

Great game! Love the concept, found it fun to play through. The cut to the credits was clean and made me laugh a little. The consumables felt necessary to use. I finished the last level with only 2ish hearts left and no items, so the difficulty is at a good place. No complaints, well done!

This is the best entry I've played so far, and a game I would actually like to see a full release of.

Story is minimal but does exactly what it needs to. Gameplay is VERY fun and scales well through the levels. The artwork/style is minimalistic, but clearly had thought put into it and comes off as well-put together. The audio (this is one of the very very few Game Jam games I have downloaded) was AMAZING!

This deserves a winning shot from what I've seen so far. Great job man!

This is an amazing concept! I LOVE your take on this theme to mean "looping back around" to something. 5 stars for creativity, and also great stars on the artwork. This is an objectively pretty game!

I like the sound effects, but wish there was music. My only real issue with this game though is how clunky the level swapping mechanic is. I broke the game twice while trying to use it, and kept misinputting which takes a long time to undo.

Still, stellar entry!

I thought this game was cute; But that pit trap was mean, man! Especially with death being so punishing. The audio mixing, music, and art all gets props from me, as well as the jump and crouch mechanics, but the level design could be a little nicer to players! As someone who makes donuts for their day job, good job on capturing the general vibe of donutry.
