Using a sequencer to power a character is a neat idea! It wasn't super intuitive how to work it at first but I eventually got it, though determining where my the step sequencer aligned with obstacles in the level never quite made sense to me. I love the art style — super charming.

Cool idea, and great implementation! I think if I could scrub a bit easier I could see a whole puzzle platformer here

Submitted

Very clever idea. Nicely done.

Love the papercraft art style and concept on this one! Very well done!

Damn this one is super creative and fun! Always great to see music related games on jams! Very nice art too, well done!

Great game, pretty sure it will be in top-20

this one so interesting gameplay and unique, I like it

If possible, can you please rate my game and leave a comment too.

Cool concept! It's like coding with music.

Submitted

Really cool concept. But for it to actually work it has to be deterministic.

Also you can spam like the first 4 parts just by filling out all the cells.

this is by far the most unique game i have every experienced

A platformer controlled by music loop is such a cool idea, and an entire DAW as the user interface!? That's super impressive. The sound and art direction is also really fun. Great game!

This is such a cool interpretation of the theme! I loved it. Some parts were more tedious than I would have liked, but overall, this was a great game. Also, I absolutely love the art omg!

HOW DID YOU MAKE A GAME LIKE THIS IN 4 DAYS!!! This is awesome; as a person who loves music, this is great! The only piece of feedback that I can give you is the tutorial. People like me don't like reading a tonne, so maybe next time try to figure out a method of giving instructions to the player that does not involve a bunch of reading.

I would also really appreciate it if you where to rate my game :D

very neat! the looping of movement with the music beats was really fun to work with, but i feel like the level went on a bit too long to the point where it was too difficult to continue without breaking the rest of your progress. i think i wouldve enjoyed multiple smaller levels more. either way, i still had a good time! great work!

This is sooo great and I love the art direction too! By the time the sprint was included it was getting really hard but I loved figuring out a ridiculous combo of sprint crouches and sprint jumps

Submitted

So interesting! I think the idea is very clearly implemented but the player steps vs FL style composition could match better to make it more accurate, passing the spikes was a pain

Submitted

This was an interesting idea. I found it hard to coordinate the steps with the level, and it seemed like I had limited view of the level.

Turning a DAW into a platformer is such a cool concept. You have something special here.
I would be very excited to see how this turns out with further exploration of how the map view is controlled/visualized and the general smoothness of the gameplay,

Really cool idea, but very difficult for me. I ended up deleting all my previous inputs every time.

Submitted

It's a little too hard for me cause I end up ruining my past level inputs with the new ones and every time its like aarrggh i dont wanna ruin my past completion :(

I do like how you all made a music based game though! I think the art is also extremely cute.
