Wow, this game blew me away! The way you’ve interpreted ‘loop’ as cursive handwriting is utterly original—I’ve never seen anything like it! The buttery-smooth controls paired with that childhood-magic vibe? Pure joy. 😭👏

How does your game fit the theme?
The game is about sky writing in cursive, with the plane making looping motions in the sky to write a series of messages from customers.

Might be my last rating for this jam. Great work. The cloud dispersal is great. Flower Duet is one of my favorites! The accordion version at the title screen was perfect for... atmosphere.
I didn't fully understand the scoring system, is it fill or path based etc. Whatever it was, it was close enough for me haha.
Joke at end was great.
I absolutely loved this!!!! From the initial idea of drawing in the sky, to the entire presentation!!! This was by far one of my favourite games of the jam! I would really really love for this to be further developed and realised into a full game post jam!!!!
Very cool! I has fun while playing but quickly started playing my own meta-game by trying to fool your scoring system and I must say that I was not able to do that. I'm impressed by that detection system and by the game itself! I also liked the little stories told by the requests, very cute ;)
This one reminds me of those Mario Party games where you have to trace a shape. The controls were a bit difficult to get a handle of, but I had fun with this one.
Most inventive take on the theme I have seen yet. Making a controller like this feel good to use in 96 hours is equally impressive. Highly enjoyed every aspect!
The way the game is presented is unusual, and I really loved that. I also really liked the art style , great job!
Through my terrible handwriting I ruined Ricky's relationship and made an old woman immortal. Very creative, would recommend!
I really like mechanics of this game, also amazing concept! Would be cool to have some birds you need to avoid
This is such a creative take on the theme. Skywriting was actually one of the ideas we came up with during brainstorming but didn’t know how to go about implementing it. This. This is how you go about implementing it. I love every part of this, from the drunken cursive loops I ended up performing because I was laughing too hard at my previous drunken cursive loop, to the background story where love succeeds despite my awful job at skywriting their confession, it all comes together beautifully.
I was riding the high of getting 5/5 on my first two jobs, and then it was all downhill from there.
The only real issue I had with the game was that the guide in the bottom right covers a lot of the sky that I needed to use on some of the jobs, but arguably that’s my own fault for writing the first line so darn big.
WOW! I quite liked how y'all interpreted the theme, it was very novel and fun to play around with mechanically. I honestly wound up just doing one shift and then sitting in the tutorial for a good while XD
In terms of polish it's visually very well put together, and the sound is well balanced and the music complements the theme and aesthetic of the game very well. I especially liked little details like with the control tower and the player's perspective relative to the plane. I think the plane was a little hard to control, and I think I would've appreciated more space to fly over as for some of the longer requests I wound up running out of space to write. That said, this was certainly well balanced in that even though my writing was rough around the edges I was still able to consistently score 4-5 stars so I appreciated that.
Congrats again on the game submission, and very well done!
It was difficult (very much so) but I got 5 stars on the last one! The environment that you set up with the style and the music and the theming come together to make something that feels very sweet. Great job.
This is impressive. The writing looks right. The scoring feels accurate. I read that you used a package, but impressive that it was used effectively in a jam.
The game is sweet and relaxing. It was a pleasure to play. It could use a free drawing mode for sharing funny screenshots.
Really cool take on the theme! My skills are higher than the clouds (maybe not quite, I have a bit of a skill issue). But I had a lot of fun, nice work!
hey, what a relaxing game! i think i got perfect score? 75? Also got the "bad ending" the first time xd. I'm really curious about the score system. I actually did a jam game a couple years back with a similar system (drawing instead of flying) and it was a DISASTER and everyone started drawing "bad" things. So how do you do it? is it like a grid? turning number? number of traces ? MACHINE LEARNING? The graphics could be a little more high res but the important part (sky and the smoke dissipating) are nicelly done and i like them. The remote control moving is a really nice detail. Nice work guys, i liked it!
The detection system was a package we imported and kept tinkering with to fit the game. What it essentially does on a base level is allow you to enter symbols into the database under an ID, and then the code uses a mix of stroke count, curvature, number of points, and the general motion of drawing to see which input was the closest to the database. We messed with that so that there's a base level percentage of accuracy the player has to hit to get a drawing right, and we also had to draw several versions of every message so that the judging would be fair and account for the different ways players would draw every message. It was definitely the most challenging part of the game to get working. Also you did in fact get a perfect score, I don't think any of us managed to get a score that high, great job and thanks for playing our game!
