Fourth to be sPoOky :DDDDDDDDDDDDD

WOW! I quite liked how y'all interpreted the theme, it was very novel and fun to play around with mechanically. I honestly wound up just doing one shift and then sitting in the tutorial for a good while XD

In terms of polish it's visually very well put together, and the sound is well balanced and the music complements the theme and aesthetic of the game very well. I especially liked little details like with the control tower and the player's perspective relative to the plane. I think the plane was a little hard to control, and I think I would've appreciated more space to fly over as for some of the longer requests I wound up running out of space to write. That said, this was certainly well balanced in that even though my writing was rough around the edges I was still able to consistently score 4-5 stars so I appreciated that.

Congrats again on the game submission, and very well done!

This was a cute and very cozy little game. Y'all did a great job with the feeling and the theming of the game. The art and the music come together very nicely and the sound effects make the actual crocheting quite satisfying. I love how the narrative is told passively as the game progress, it adds an extra little element that keeps you hooked (pun intended) on top of the gameplay, which itself was very easy to understand and still took some time to wrap my head around (which is not a bad thing by any means, as someone who crochets in real life I feel like you've really done a good job capturing that experience).

All in all this was a great entry, and congrats on submitting to the game jam!

Very interesting game! I liked the narrative and especially how the gameplay was incorporated into the narrative overall. You did a very good job of tuning the game mechanics so it very much felt like a balancing act to keep the humans alive with food and hunger. I particularly loved how the game doesn't end and leaves you with a "maybe new life will form" and then the game just leaves you with the option to keep looping on and on. I kept at it for a while and nothing happened and that felt rather impactful. The music does well to fit the theming and atmosphere of the game, and overall this was a very cool narratively focused interpretation of the theme.

Congrats on the submission, and great job!

This was an interesting game! The visuals were quite nice and thematically the game came together into something that felt somewhat surreal and abstract which I assume is what y'all were going for. The main gameplay mechanic itself was very interesting and I'd be genuinely curious to see y'all expand this game as I would love to see more in terms of level design. Audio balancing could use some work, and I was definitely a bit confused going in although it wasn't too hard to figure out how I was meant to beat each level and I think the confusion contributed to the sense of surrealism.

All in all, congrats on the submission and y'all did a good job!

This was a really creative puzzle style game and it is remarkably well polished for a game jam game! The UI and visuals all come together very nicely and the color palette chosen is very pleasing to the eye and reminiscent. I loved the editing/mixing software theming that y'all used with this game. I quite liked how even the components that switch tracks have unique sounds attached to them so sound is very nicely interwoven into the game.

I will mention one thing I noticed that I wasn't sure was intended, in the second level that uses the Skipper note I found a solution that doesn't use the skipper note which plays correctly on the first loop, and incorrectly on the second loop. I assume you're meant to lose in this scenario, but I was still able to proceed to the next level. Frankly I actually prefer the game as is because I appreciate when puzzle games allow different solutions to a problem (though in this scenario I actually think it was more intuitive to not use the Skipper).

Congrats on your submission, and y'all did a fantastic job!

Thanks for playing our game! I'm super happy to hear you were able to pick up the game and that you were impressed by it overall! We tried definitely could've done a better job explaining the core mechanic of the game with the first couple of levels but we did our best to design those levels to encourage the player to figure out mechanics as we introduced them. We tried to get the atmosphere right as one of the biggest points of polish so the kind words about that are very much appreciated!

Congratulations on your own submission to the game jam as well!

Hey thanks for giving our game a run! So happy to hear you liked our game and our interpretation of the theme as a whole! When we decided we wanted to theme the game around fish we wanted to make sure we got the atmosphere right along with polishing the core mechanic itself. We're hoping to spend some time adding more levels to the game and polishing up once rating is over so hopefully we'll be able to use that as an opportunity to expand on the game some more.

I'm pleased to hear the darkness wasn't too debilitating, we did our best to balance the levels around it and we made sure to add a brightness feature (albeit it doesn't quite work in the web build which we're hoping to fix).

Congratulations on your own submission to the jam, and thanks again for the kind words and feedback!

Thanks for playing our game! Happy to see you found our idea compelling, we did our best to balance and polish the experience so we hope you found it enjoyable overall!

Congratulations on your own submission as well!

Thanks for playing our game, and thank you for the kind words! I got the notification for this comment and remembered you immediately from having played your game so I just want to say this feels like absolutely high praise and we are so happy to hear you liked our game!

Congrats again on your submission to the jam!

Hey thanks for giving our game a go! I'm glad to hear the limited visibility wasn't terribly challenging/bothersome. We deliberately tried to balance the darkness itself as much as possible and we made sure to leave players the option to look at the map again to make sure the darkness posed a challenge without being a general nuisance.

Thank you for the kind words, and congratulations on your submission as well!

Thank you for playing! Happy to hear you had a good time with the gameplay!

Congratulations on your own to the game jam as well!

Hey thanks for playing our game! So happy to hear we nailed the atmosphere for you, even though we didn't make the music ourselves we tried to find tracks that best fit the visuals and gameplay we put together. I hope you found the gameplay enjoyable as well.

Congrats on playing our submission and I look forward to giving yours a try :)

Thank you so much for playing! This comment was super heartwarming to read, and I'm so so so glad you liked our game. Happy to hear the atmosphere was to your liking, that was one of the big things we wanted to nail down once we had a sound gameplay loop, and I'm glad to hear you found the concept interesting.

I definitely squinted a ton myself instinctively while I was playtesting initially XD. I hope the darkness wasn't too much of an impediment, we did our best to balance the levels around it and make sure it added challenge without being too too debilitating.

Congrats again on your submission, and thanks for playing!

This game is aaaawesooooome. Easy arcadey style gameplay loop, but definitely picks up in difficulty over time. This game is very nicely balanced and I got hooked in almost immediately. Visuals are gorgeous, music is a vibe, all in all I had a great time with this.

Congrats on completing the jam, and great job!

Love to see more rope games✊    :)

That said this game was phenomenal. The movement felt very flowy and well tuned as a whole. I liked that this was a good mix of puzzle and skill. The art direction is phenomenal and the game looks frankly gorgeous. I love the hand drawn + vintage aesthetic, reminds me a lot of games like Don't Starve or the Tim Burton style which I will always be a sucker for. The music matches the vibe very well too and overall, this was a phenomenally executed game.

Congrats on the submission, and awesome job!

Amen! I'd been wanting to work on rope physics for a good while and this theme seemed almost perfect for it. For this game we had some very specific rope behavior we were aiming for and our programmers put a good amount of time into refining it and making sure it performed well. Thanks for playing our game, and I hope you enjoyed!

Holy levels! (Loads of em)!

This game is very well polished for a jam game. In terms of the mechanic, I think this is a VERY solid execution of the mechanic of using the player after image in puzzle solutions. For one, I think the timer adds a good sense of novelty to the experience over other platformers that use this mechanic. Your implementation of the afterimage mechanic blew me away as soon as I got to level 6 though, when I found out that after images save velocity and not just position.

The art style is very tight and well directed, the music is fiiiiiire, and all in all, I had a good time!

Congrats on the game submission, and well done!

First off, this game was gorgeous, I really lliked the vibrant colors and the color palette you chose for everything just made for an overall cool vibe. Second off, I feel like the mechanic of rotating the level around like that has a looooot of potential for complexity, and I would totally love to see more if you ever come back to this project. I think the player could do with a little fine tuning, the jump felt a little floaty to me although that's just a nitpick as I know the player controller is not really the focus of the game.

Congrats on the submission, and overall well done!

Interesting game, the effect of the world spinning around under Larry was phenomenally executed. The player movement was a little hit-or-miss for me. While I thought the jump was well tuned I think Larry didn't need to move quite as fast, and there were times where some delay in the jump would get me killed. I also want to note level 3 is a little inconsistent as sometimes a mushroom will come barreling at me and sometimes there will be no mushrooms at all. The theming and story were quite interesting, song was a bop!

All in all, congrats on the submission, and well done!

Saw the name of this game and just had to play it. Simple game but pretty well done all in all, and very funny interpretation of the theme. The mechanics of the game are pretty well communicated, and I didn't run into any issues while playing whatsoever. I do wish the game got a little harder as you progressed, but that's just a teensy little nitpick.

Congrats on the submission, and well done!

Thanks for giving our game a shot! Glad to hear you had fun with it!

Sorry for the jumpscare (while we were hoping the anglerfish would get people I hope we didn't destroy your ears too badly in the process 😭). We definitely could've spent some more time working on the audio balance in the future, and there's currently a slight issue with the BGM in the web build that probably doesn't help either.

Congrats on completing the jam yourself, and thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing our game! Happy to hear you had a good time with it :)

This game was quite a lot of fun! Took a bit to get used to the controls and mechanics of the game but the gam felt very zippy and freeform once I got the hang of it. Always did wonder what would happen if you strapped a jetpack to a spider XD. The art direction was very strong and I loved the way the player looked in particular. Music choice was pretty good. All in all, this was a very fun game to play through!

Congrats on the submission, and well done!

This game was awesome. The puzzles felt very Baba is You-esque and were all quite cleverly designed. I love how well you played with a few well explained gimmicks to create so many levels. The art style of this game was quite fun, and the animations were hilarious (especially for the one when the chicken is laying an egg, it was one thing to have its eyes pop out but to have it turn pink XD). Had to restart at one point because the bomb got me stuck in an endless loop unfortunately. I would absolutely love to see more of this

Congrats on finishing the jam and well done!

This game was some good fun! The movement felt very well tuned, felt a lot like the movement of the modern Doom games which is a very high compliment. Loved the pacing of the game and very satisfying to rip through enemies with the rocket launcher and the SMG. I think the Shotgun could've done with more spread and pierce and the sniper was frankly underwhelming for a final weapon. That being said, this is a remarkably well polished game. The visual style was fun and the BGM added to the hype of the game. All in all, loved it!

Congrats on the submission, and well done!

Normally I'm not one for jumpscares but holy atmosphere, you did a pretty good job with the build up for a game jam game. Nicely done!

Congrats on your jam submission!

Nah the 9th level is the last level (And meant as a bonus quite frankly). The only levels available are the ones in the level select screen. The only other content past that "oh no" level is the endless mode, which you can access from the main menu without even beating it in the first place. The levels were meant to prepare you for that. You definitely got through the bulk of the game which I'm happy to see, and I hope you had fun with it :)

Honestly, vibes, you absolutely excelled on the polish element and your art style is gorgeous. I look forward to playing the more balanced version later today and I hope you upload that one to itch once the jam is over :)

Sort of! Really they were meant to introduce the various mechanics of the game, especially with levels 5-8 introducing each enemy type and how they function. That said, these weren't meant to be easy tutorials by any means, especially past level 5. Hopefully they weren't terribly challenging

Veeery interesting concept, the car handling was a little tricky at first but racing against myself was really cool because I could see myself progress over time. Remarkably well polished for a jam game and overall very well made. Congratulations on the submission, and well done!

Thanks for playing our game! Glad you found our interpretation of the theme interesting, and I'm super glad to hear you were able to spend a good amount of time with the game. I've been trying to play with physics simulations and such and I haven't done anything with rope/string physics before so we wanted to experiment with that in this game.

Yeah that "Oh No" level is certainly its own beast XD. It was designed to be a bonus challenge level after playing through the tutorial levels and spending some time with the arcade. I hope you found the balancing of the levels and the arcade/endless mode okay!

Congratulations on your own submission as well, and thanks again for playing our game!

This game was very artful for me. The narrative was well executed, and the artwork and music are phenomenal and do well to complement the design of the game overall.

Congrats on finishing this jam, and well done!

You nailed the retro look of this game, this is probably one of my favorite looking games so far. Mechanically, this was super unique and very interesting. I think where this game excels is in the level design, you do a good job of interesting mechanics and putting them to use in interesting ways. My one wish is that there were more levels especially utilizing the mechanics introduced later in the game. I feel like there's a lot of room for complex and very challenging puzzles.

All in all, congrats on submitting, and fantastic job!

WOW! This game was a looot of fun. I'm genuinely curious how you got the loop detection to work from a programming perspective. That said, the mechanic is for sure the highlight of this game. I appreciate the leniency on some of the more complicated knots, and I found the game to be very well tuned. At first I thought I could get away with just spamming the most complicated knot but the introduction of faster fish forcing you to use simpler knots was a clever touch. Art direction is consistent but leaves something to be desired, sound contributes to the upbeat feeling of the game.

Congrats on finishing the jam, and well done!

The visual aesthetic of this game is absolutely phenomenal and the player movement is aaaaalmost well tuned except I think there should be some explanation for the player speed falling off so rapidly occasionally (I feel like I'm missing some mechanic when we get to wave 3 and the player slows down rapidly, I don't even mind the huge number of enemies I actually find it quite satisfying to be able to loop in so many enemies at once). Even without the balanace past wave 3 just zipping around and looping as many enemies as possible was a very satisfying experience (partly owed to the sound design, and largely to the player tuning)

Congrats on finishing the jam, and marvelously well done! This game absolutely deserves more ratings

I had a lot of fun with this one! I love how fast paced and hectic the game becomes as it progresses. With all the controls it took a second for me to figure out how to play the game well but once I got it down everything felt reasonably well tuned (my one criticism is that maybe throwing the preservers should be a bit more lenient, I could never consistently save anyone with the throwing mechanic since I was constantly fighting against the current of the loop). I liked the player movement a lot, felt a lot like the old Doom games and it felt very well polished, being able to move around quickly and snappily very much compensated for my struggle with throwing.

The style and aesthetic of the game was great, with the music and the overall art style. I loooove how you mixed the 2D and 3D gameplay. All in all, congrats on completing the game jam, and a job well done!

Loved the concept of this game, I found the controls for navigating the sphere to be well tuned, smooth, and overall very interesting. Fun twist on the usual snake/paper.io type of game. I quite liked the visuals and the audio actually, I found the overall atmosphere of the game to be very surreal.

Congrats on finishing the jam, and great job overall!

Saw this on Mark's stream and wanted to give it a go. Cute game, short and sweet, and I'm always a sucker for arcade style games! The gameplay loop is very interesting, and I found the mechanic of showing the whole map as the spider was climbing to be a very clever way of giving the player an opportunity to formulate a strategy prior to actual playing. The controls felt fairly simple and the descent speed feels tuned. Was able to hit a high score of 54 :>

Congrats on finishing the jam, and well done!

Conceptually this feels like a really good game, and with more options and mods I can absolutely see how this would come together. I see how the loop plays, I found the visual style to be very tight and well made overall. I would love to see this game continue development in the future.

Congrats on making it to the end of the jam!
