Bullet hell or buffet heaven? I'm just playing, the gameplay loop is a pretty creative twist on the top-down rogue-like bullet hell genre. Visuals were good as well.

Fun game with well polished audio visual experience. The red lines could maybe transition from zero thickness to full width to indicate the time left until they become active white slices as well as make the visual less abrupt. Well done!

What a great use of the theme, simple and very effective!

Impressive functionality for 4 days, also very fun!

Wow I've never played a game like this. From the game loop to the POV, this game has made wonderfully original design choices throughout.

Thank you, very heart warming how many people like yourself have looked past the audio visual experience and complimented the underlying game design. Glad you enjoyed my little prototype and thanks for providing thoughtful feedback!

Best implementation of looping back on the same level idea that I have played so far. Adding a timer in a puzzle game doesn't usually work and yet I think in your games case, it allows backtracking through the same area feel less repetitive and stay compelling as you go back through. Great pacing, and multipurpose level design. Superb!

Most inventive take on the theme I have seen yet. Making a controller like this feel good to use in 96 hours is equally impressive. Highly enjoyed every aspect!

Fun game loop more thoughtfully implemented than any other game I've played in the jam. Bravo!

Hey we came up with similar ideas! I like the endless runs mixed with incremental upgrades that yours has. Embracing and building on the retro/flash game aesthetic of the original is also a smart choice that I haven't seen any other snake game in the jam do. Great work!

A creative and very natural fit to the theme all smothered in wavy gravy!

Every knew mechanic got explored in a great way. Great use of the theme!

Wow! fit a lot of systems and polish into 96 hours. Loved everything from how the main menu shifts with your cursor to all the ways your able control your movement. Excellent entry!

The mechanics are what I spent the whole time making so I really appreciate you saying that. 100% agree the main thing it needs is a better audio visual experience, which is gonna be what I fix first when I get some more time to work on it. Thanks for the thoughtful suggestions.

Glad you liked the idea! Very generous of you to call the lack of polish mysterious haha. Thanks for giving thoughtful feedback.

Great artwork, story, and music! The gameplay is solid as well.

Really like the idea, similar to blue prince which I enjoyed a lot. You seemed to have address any of my issues in responses to other comments so all I can say is good job!

Love to see this style of game in a 3D format, they are always such unique and fun experiences. Very well done!

Totally agree with everything your saying. Thanks for the detailed feedback!

Been wanting to see someone do a sokoban with conveyor belts. Getting it done in 4 days is very impressive.

Very fun take on the theme with a thoughtful win condition to keep the simulator experience still gamified. Great job!

Smart twist on the ourosboros sub-theme this year. Excellent level level design, art, and music as well!

Nice after effects, crunchy audio quality, and overall atmosphere in the level design.

Unique and well executed player controller and viewing angle for a psychological horror game. Gives the player a fun movement system to play with in the moments in between the horror sequences.

Very nice take on the theme, and the audiovisual experience is incredible!

Wonderful story and overall experience! As much potential as any game in the jam!

Cool idea for a 2d platformer that's well executed. If anything could be slightly tweaked, maybe a little more coyote time on the character controller. Couldn't figure out how to advance in the room that teaches you how to shed feathers after hitting the button; the exit that unlocked didn't let me go through it but I could have been misunderstanding what it wanted from me incorrectly. What I did play however has strong bones for a solid platformer!

Very kind of you to say. You know I didn't even know what ourboros means before the voting period but you better believe I do now cause they're everywhere in this jam, so the fact it stood out in some way for you means a lot. Glad you enjoyed!

Can't believe you made this in only two days. Awesome concept with a well thought out control scheme and UI that plays great!! It took me the whole 4 days to make a way less impressive snake game haha good job

What a wonderful idea! The restriction of saving one objects state at a time is a smart way to restrict the possibility space and allow solutions to be less obtuse when you hopefully make more levels for this!

Well put together on all fronts. I like how some enemies didn't just have a constant walking speed but would stop and pounce. Main thing I felt was needed was some balancing to the rate you lose time and how close an enemy can spawn to you when you enter a room. Very small gripes on a very well put together entry. Nice work!!

Thanks so much! After seeing your super inventive game idea, hearing that you think mines creative means the world!

Really wish I had a computer with windows for all these great games that need it. Still ranked it all 5 stars based on the comments.

Man I wish I could figure out how to play this on my mac, the screen shots look so cool! Still rated all 5 stars for concept, screenshots, and what all the comments are saying.

It works so well. Most games with this tail idea, make it a physics object that feels finicky, but the snake-game deterministic movement pattern of the scarf has reduced the mechanic to its simplest form and really allows the idea to build the complexity and depth into the combats dynamics instead. Great idea and execution!

Yeah when making I was considering pens and pencils sticking out of pockets on the pants being obstacles that you could push back down into the pocket and remove as an obstacle if pushed from the correct side so maybe i'll add those or something more permanent. I've also seen other snake games in the jam have the snake able to loop to the other side of the screen instead of having walls which would fit perfectly with my theme as belt go around the back of pants so I'm heavily considering adding that as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

Cool concept with some cool visuals. Ran well on browser for a 3d game. Took me a few too many tries to complete my first lap which prevented me from quickly getting to the special part of your game. Maybe make the pendulum section more generous and instead just have racing your clones naturally increase the challenge over time could avoid this problem. Great effort to get a fun 3D game submitted!

Wanted to play your game, because you left a comment on mine, but I don't have windows so I just rated it all 5 stars. From what I can tell from the comments and pictures it deserves it. Looks like a really cool game in the same space as the corridor or stanleys parable, which fits the theme beautifully!

Really like the way the character lands from jumping. Almost feels like theres a speed boost, the screen shake (which I also like) makes it hard to tell but whatever you did, it adds a lot of juice to the game feel. The rest of the game is great too, but having a satisfying character controller is super important in a 2D platformer and yours does the landing in such a nice crunching way I've never seen before. Nice work!

Had a lot of fun, there were more variations to explore than I expected. Clever game design to have sounds get naturally removed by enemies so players can just focus on adding sounds and it will continue to evolve with out cluttering the track.
