A very neat little game!
Performance is rough on my machine, but simple and effective.
Very pretty too.

A very neat little game!
Performance is rough on my machine, but simple and effective.
Very pretty too.
I loved the art and style, especially the cute brochure screen! The steering gets a bit buggy sometimes and I'll get stuck in place, but still had fun vibing :D
Cool Vibe! can I book my vacation there? :) My higscore was 1060.
Fun game! I can't tell if it was performance issues or a bug with the movement, but it seemed like the guy will slow down and speed up at random (as far as I could tell at least). It seemed like he'd slow to a crawl and then lurch forward, which made it a little frustrating. I think more control over the movement in general, combined with a more interesting set of obstacles would tie this together. Maybe even something where the points you score allow you to upgrade to new inner tubes, with better stats or new abilities like jumping? I think finding a positive feedback loop like that would make the game highly replayable. Great job!
I enjoyed it more than I expected to, it definitively was fun to try and avoid everything and loop as much as you can. It makes you want to keep that vibe gauge up. The setting in a lazy river is also perfectly in line with the theme (and funny) but I haven't seen it in another game.
A bit simple but still fun!
Creative idea! Had some major performance issues (nothing apart from the shape of the world was loading for about 30 seconds), but enjoyed it once I was in. Maybe it could be expanded into a whole water park (slides etc.) to give it some variety.
ooof sorry to hear about the loading :( Appreciate greatly that you still gave it a try!
When we saw the size we knew we are in trouble, tried to mitigate possible loading issues with an awesome loading screen, which at the end... did not work out :D
The additional slides sound like a great addition, maybe we need to extend our stay!
Thank you for the feedback <3
It looks very cool! Unfortunately I couldn't play it since the player would just not go forward. Only when I alt-tab and have the focus outside of the game the player would suddenly start to move forward. I really like the design of the pause menu. :)
I really liked the atmosphere and how you merged the help/info section into a vacation brochure! Also that you have to balance between boozing and stay hydrated, haha.
I found the track/controls a bit wonky (especially the speeding and slowing), and would eventually get 'stuck' and not able to progress. Still, the vibes were immaculate!
Graphics are awesome, but gameplay gets quite repetitive, still enjoyable for a bit, cool
Goes without saying but...very vibey! lol
The crash animation made me smile :)
The movement was a little wonky, but I like the atmosphere a lot, and would love to see this game polished up a bit from a performance perspective. Fun though, love the concept!
The crash animation was a quick implementation but it was so funny we kept it in as it is lol.
The movement is sadly a bug that crept in later in development, and we didn't have enough time left to investigate and fix properly.
Same for the performance; it looks nice but at a cost of performance. Lot of good lessons learned in our first game jam!
unable to play as I am on Mac :/ but the center park vibe looks awesome
The vibes are clearly on point, now I want to be on the beach instead of my room hahaha
I agree with the other comment saying that the changing speed was a bit weird.
Nice work and congrats for finishing the jam!
My vibes were off the charts (and then I crashed but still)
Simple and fun, love the bouncy feel of movement. The guide is delightful too - I shall not vibe responsibly!
Really fun idea! It felt weird that the speed of the float kept changing, but the game had a good "vibe" to it. Perhaps a fun animation for when an item affects your vibe check would communicate the effect of each item better.
Well done!
The stream was a tricky subject - initially we wanted to have different areas with speed changes but decided to simplify. It was a high prio on our list "to fix if time", but there was no time (what a surprise haha).
We tried to explain the vibe management clearly with all the factors impacting it :( I agree that additional animations would add a lot!
Thank you so much for checking it out and the feedback!
