How does your game fit the theme?
In The Loopers, players work side-by-side at a constantly moving conveyor belt, sorting items into the correct bins. This conveyor runs in an endless loop, cycling the same stream of trash through your station. On top of that, the job itself becomes a loop — a repetitive, inescapable cycle of sorting shift after shift. In-universe, the workers stuck at this task are nicknamed “Loopers.”

A sorting game in a jam?!? Cool! i had a lot of fun with this one! For some reason it took me a hot minute to get the controls nailed, I'm probably just bad lol. But this was great! Nice work!

Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!

Developer

thank you! i’ve would love to play but i went outdoors. GL finishing the jam!

Loved this setup! It gives that overcooked vibes of you screaming at your team mates.

Nailed the concept! I'm blown away with how good it looks and runs in such a short time. Awesome job! Can totally see this expanded on in the future!

Very fun game. Just one flaw, sometimes i just haven't enough time to throw item to bin because it was too far.

art style is amazing. I loved it.

Art style is wonderful! Such a nice take on a theme as well! Thanks for that game, well done!

Damn, the visuals are absolutely great, I love it to death. Although my pattern-wired brain got confused with item-bin correlation.

Great job!!

This would be fire with teammates, to pass stuff to each other, could also have more items that have weird ways of handling them, something that blocks your vision with a black rectangle if you look at it (like censor, Voices of the Void reference), hot potatoes, bouncy things that have to be chucked around a corner etc…

Also, cool “The Loopers_BackUpThisFolder_ButDontShipItWithYourGame” folder with the shipped game, lmao

Developer(+2)

thank you! I like the idea with censors - reminds me Psychonauts.

Oh, thanks for mentioning about this folder. I was in a rush and completely forgot about it.😅

Super fun! Not really any notes, I can see how this would be fun. Maybe more options for movement, for example I couldn't jump over the table which made single player kind of rough. I also collected stuff in advance then did a mad dash to put stuff in bins in the last few seconds.  Would be nice if you put the containers against the wall; I was trying to toss bananas across the room to the veggie bin and it was bouncing off the rim and falling between the wall and the container which felt bad. If the wall could act like a backboard like a basketball ring, that'd be sick. I enjoyed it! Some tweaks would make it super addictive!

Developer

The basketball mechanics? That’s a great idea! Thank you. I’ll adjust the bins once the jam is finished. Also, thank you for the feedback about the controls — I’ll definitely adjust them. Appreciate it

I really like this one and it was first of my first-person game in jam that I have a chance to try.

If possible, can you please vote my game and leave a comment too?

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! And be sure I'll try out your game and vote but tomorrow! Its almost midnight where I live and I'm going to bed <3

A game that mixes corporate brutality with the precision jump-throws of smokes in CS2? I'm in. I had a good time toying with different strategies; I settled on tossing all the aliens in a pile behind me while shooting the fruit, tools, and recycling like basketballs across the conveyer belt, hoping they went into their buckets. When it worked, it worked, but then I'd look up, see 20 seconds left and realize I forgot to sort my aliens. This unfortunately led to my demise as I was recycled myself (the blood splatter caught me off guard but I loved it), but I'm excited to get some friends to hop on with me and see how far we can go.

Developer

So cool that you like it! And you managed a good strategy to collect aliens in advance! You have to be the manager of your party. Use brick to punish lazy employees!

Шайбу! Шайбу!

Really amazing game! Tried out the private room (because I'm shy:) and it was really fun! Managed to pass two levels before the realisation that it really requires team work!

Overall - sorting is a fun mechanic and the game is all about funky little details that working great together. Very impressive!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm glad you used the private lobby — I spent a ton of time testing and getting it to work. Also, so cool that you recognized the character! <3

To be honest, when i downloaded the game i didn't know what i was expecting, the game is online which is mind boggling and the dev was in the server room. Fun game about recycling, but not only the usual stuff but also the aliens that were confusing, but with more time and people working together it has potential to be a lot of fun.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback and kind words. That was fun. Now it's your turn for your game :)

I had a really good time with this one, Alexander, the creator, was in a server room and we chatted for a while while picking up trash. It's really impressive to get a multiplayer game working in such a short period of time and the mechanic of the aliens (you have to rotate them to count the number of eyes) is a funny touch. Well done :)

Developer

thank you! that was really good one indeed :)

Submitted(+1)

Really impressive that you got proximity voice chat and overall multiplayer work this well! Truly outstanding, worked without a single issue. Incredible. :D
Gameplay was also fun and quick to understand. I don't know where the brick should be put though, but that's my only complaint, really nice game!

Developer(+1)

thank you! the brick is for confusing players. it's actually junk and sort of a weapon to punish lazy employees. :)

Submitted(+1)

Aaah, gotcha! :D Clever!

Submitted(+1)

Played it with a friend, had a good laugh. Impressive you got multiplayer with voicechat working in just 4 days!

Developer

Thank you! I tested the proximity voice in my other prototype, so it was easy to integrate. I'm glad you played with a friend and had fun :)

Submitted(+1)

Heyho! Hahaha I also jumped into the trash and then read the comment below :D
Well done, multiplayer is always hard to get right but I think you pulled it off very well!
Stay funky,
Dez

now we are all trash-fellas :)

Very impressive game for a game jam, loved the crt aesthetic. Also great job predicting i would jump into the trash :).

Developer

Thanks! This is the first thing I did :)

Submitted(+1)

Amazing you made a multiplayer game within the jam time! Had fun trying to solo trick shot all the things into the bins :D

Developer

thank you! yeah that was a bit of a challenge and took lots coffee but it was fun. I'm glad you had fun enjoyed playing
