Such heartwarming feedback ❤️ thank you! Yes, Hollow Knight was the main inspiration for combat/attacks (though I overdid the broom knockback). I tried to implement a Celeste-like dash as well, but it wasn't feeling right, so I removed it. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for the kind words! ❤️ It would be a lot of work... but maybe this one is worth a Steam release haha. Thank you for the encouragement!

Ohh, thank you! Heartwarming to read your feedback ❤️ Yes, there is only the broom attack. I thought of including other weapons, but it would take too much time, and also a witch wielding a sword feels wrong, right? But yes, the powerups read sword because I did them generic first and didn't have time to revisit them in time until the deadline.

I loved playing this game! It's so creative, and the back-and-forth it puts you on is engaging. Congrats on this great entry! This is one of the best games I've played so far :)

This is a fun idea! I always like a Celeste-like platformer. I feel that the character may be a little bit too fast, though, and the wall jumping is a little hard to get right. Nevertheless, congrats on the game! It's super cool to see another game that focused on platforming as well!

Ooohh, this was too short! I loved playing it! This is easily one of the most creative games of the jam. Congrats!

Short but fun! Very creative idea, I see how you could create even more involving levels with more time. The art is super cute. My only note is that the bear's small rotation makes precisely jumping harder than it should be. Nevertheless, great game!

This reminded me of some Nitrome games like Snot Put and Feed Me. Loved the art style, and the mechanic is great and fun. The game gets pretty difficult pretty quickly, in more challenging levels, like the one where you leave the bomb on the button and have to go down a spikes session with almost no floor to grab was darn difficult. This is a great game, congrats!

Wow, this one was hard! Loved the narrative and art style. I wish the movement were a little slower. Oftentimes I felt out of control of the character, but that may very well be a skill issue. The level design is well structured with optional powerups. I enjoyed that! Congrats!

I loved the art style on this one, and I'm a sucker for detective games! I way overthought the plot and was convinced that the senior detective was the killer. I just didn't really get the countdown thing, I thought there would be 8 murders or 8 cases, but when I solved the first one, the game ended. Don't know if it's a bug.

So much tension in this game! I think that the balancing is great. Like, I don't know if I'm just bad at this, but I was never in a chill position to be able to leave workers where they were infinitely working. I had to manage where they were working each time because workers were the bottleneck. Really creative idea! Congrats!

This is a masterpiece! This is certainly in my top 3 of the whole jam. Impeccable art, all the tiny details (even for things like the background of each decay number filling moving). The music and sfxs are on point. Well-built puzzles. And the cherry on top: Dungan dies at the end! And Milo is spreading the Decay! 😱 I absolutely loved this. Congrats!

This game reminds me of Nitrome's Thin Ice (less chill though haha) The overall vibe of the game is really well built, visuals and music. I wish there were a way to control the player via keyboard, and maybe it would be cool to have it in FPV, more like Mirror's Edge. Nevertheless, great entry! Congrats!

Thank you for this wonderful feedback ❤️ It's amazing that you enjoyed it that much! I've drawn a lot of inspiration from Hollow Knight and Celeste for movements and combat. I borrowed the chest idea from Risk of Rain 2. For sure, with more time, it would be great to add more depth and variety to combat. Seriously considering taking this to a full Steam release eventually. I deeply enjoyed creating this game :)

Wow, thank you very much for the feedback ❤️ Really glad that you've enjoyed it that much! Yes, I wish (as we all did) I had more time to add more depth and variety to enemies and their powers.

Oh, so heartwarming feedback, thank you ❤️ I'm glad you liked it, I was fearing that I may have spent time polishing the wrong things (and yes, maybe the necromancer is a little underwhelming) but it seems like this turned out ok in the end :)

This game is great, the only flaw is that it ends too soon haha The art style is lovely, the enemies are so funny, and Bodybuilder Bella OMG! I loved this one, congrats!

That's a cool idea! The clock is really short, but I liked it, it forces creative solutions. I don't even know if the solutions I used were anticipated, I think that it would be really cool to have a star/rating system that you can get from 1 to 3 stars depending on how much sand you carry to the end. I abused a lot of 45-degree angled blocks, and the fact that you can jump in a falling block and save using bigger or multiple blocks. Great game!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed playing it ❤️

Really fun physics and controls! Just found the map a little bit clunky mapped to the “C” key, but that adds some fun too! Would be interesting to have some powerups/clock boosts randomly spawned on the map so you can always somehow fix a bad run by being bold. Congrats, this is a fun game!

Glad you liked it! Dynamic maps generation allowed for a big map without tremendous effort. But yes, some bugs lurked into the final release anyway :P

Thank you! The theme is present in the core roguelike mechanic of the game: each time you exhaust the countdown, enemies in that world get stronger and stronger (and they are also sacrificed, counting the enemy countdown as well), making you balance how much you'll explore in that world vs deciding to take on the necromancer to go to the next world. And yes, the knockback could be a bit more subtle! Thank you for the feedback ❤️

Thanks! Glad you had a good time playing it :) yes, broom flying ability should be a must and the witch thematic gives the perfect excuse for potions brewing! Thanks for the feedback ❤️

Quite creative. Would love to see even more art for this story, but I realise this would take more than a few days to produce! Nice story!

Thank you for playing it! Sorry I missed it (currently at work :), I'll sure watch it later! Glad you liked it!

Cool concept with the slow-motion effect! Though I got stuck in the shuriken part, there seems to be a bug preventing me from advancing.

Loved the console UI (linux nerd here)! Took a while to understand what was going on but with a bit of help of the description got unstuck. Loved the game! Congrats!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Such heartwarming feedback ❤️ I'm glad you appreciate it and had fun! I'm a bit afraid of commiting to a commercial release but you guys are so encouraging! Thanks!

Are you my coworker? 👀 This was just missing some more crazy AI-hyped CEO "genius ideas" hehe Loved it!

This game is GOLD! Congrats! I love the art, and the launch sequencing is so satisfying to play! I just wish the instructions were louder and that there were a restart button when you know you screwed up hehe. Loved it!

Cute little game, and I love the thematic! It would be interesting to have some random events you need to act fast to solve as well! Nevertheless, congrats on the game!

That's a great game idea! I think that it would be cool to have the ship turning a tad slower, and it would be a massive addition to gameplay depth to have asteroids have gravitational fields. Congrats!

Cool idea! I just wish the levels were bigger so there are more places to hide or to lead the guards to.

Dang! Those damn birds are picking on me! (feels like Cruella De Vil hating animals) Great game! Simple, intuitive, and great controls! Congrats

Love the art style! I enjoyed playing it, felt well-balanced, and you're always wanting more items for your build. I think it would be cool to see a faster-paced version of this, with even more visual "juice" and chaos going on!

Really creative! This reminded me of Terraria and this browser Flash game called Gold Miner that I used to play as a kid! Loved the concept. Congrats!

This is very creative! I thought of going with something similar: parallel realities that are switched as you play, but that would require too much art effort; you were smarter here hehe. There could be some levels instead of a continuous game, though, to kinda checkpoint it, but I get it that restarting from zero is part of the challenge (I created a roguelike so I can't complain :)

Yeah, since the number of enemies only increases eventually it would break. Using ECS is what delivered most performance wise. But to support infinite amounts of enemies I'd have need to implement some kind of standby state on rooms off the camera so enemies there don't consume as much processing.

Thank you very much for playing this long! I really appreciate it ❤️ and I'm glad you had fun!

Thanks! Yes, Hollow Knight was the main inspiration for combat. But yes, the knockback is a little too much. The controls clicked to me after I changed with which hand I pressed Space (left hand WASD, and right hand Space, H and J). I'm not used to play these kind of games on the keyboard, I may very well have picked a bad keyboard layout. Generally, I prefer connecting my gamepad but I didn't had time to properly support gamepads. Thanks for the feedback!

(1 edit)

Wow, I'm really happy that you liked it that much! I'm a bit sad that I didn't spend more time on the necromancer battle. I've spent hours myself playing and collecting tons of power-ups, but the necromancer fight is way too easy now :( Loved your feedback, thank you ❤️
