My idiot self thought the banner was the game for way too long and couldn't work out how to move.... Once I got over that first self-inflicted hurdle I enjoyed this. I haven't actually played exit 8 or really heard much other than the name so this was a cool little spot the difference for me. A really cool experience with solid art to match. Good job.

How does your game fit the theme?
The gameplay loop of the inspiration, The Exit 8, consists of loops. We tried to carry a similar idea of looping through the same rooms with little changes each time into our game.

great artwork you can tell its all hand drawn stuff and very cute take on the theme
This reminds me of when I got lost at the super market when I was little haha! Great theme!
Great take on the theme. I suck at these memory/observation games but it was still very fun. The art and sound were really well done too. Nice work!
I managed to finish the game ! It took several attempts before I started to accurately notice what were off in the rooms. Great game, great use of the theme !
Definitely a great suggestion! We didn't really have time to do that due to how last-minute the tutorial was, but we're planning to release an update to fix it after the jam just for our own satisfaction lol. I do like the option of redoing the tutorial while making it optional- I haven't heard that one before lol. Thank you for playing!
Not sure what I was supposed to do, I just kept repeating the tutorial again and again...I tried going the opposite way whenever it changed to the other room(is that the furniture change?) but that didn't seem to work.
You had the right idea! The only issue is that there's two random rooms each run - you can see them both in their default states the first time, and then afterwards, when the map pops up, there's a chance for smaller anomalies - like items changing colour, or going missing! You'd want to go backwards when one of these anomalies happens. I'm sorry for the confusion, and thank you for playing!
Neat little Exit 8 style game, really liked the art and vibe!
Very cool little game I like the atmospher and the music so much. Good job!
It was a bit confusing for me, but maybe it's because I haven't played this style of game much.
Haven't played exit 8 so the idea was new for me, but I understood the mechanic. Liked!
Fun little take on the exit 8 genre, i love ikea yay ikea, ikea. The bear was scary, without its head. Good job on the game!
The take on the theme is really cool, maybe needs a bit more pointers at the beginning to get a better understanding. Really good game!
I like the concept but was confused at the beginning. Once I got the hang of it it became super fun!
The idea is cool, i haven't played exit 8 so it is my first experience with a game like this. I think my main problem is i don't really know what to look for to know when to turn back, the tutorial is very cryptic and you don't really have a phase where you know: ok now i must pay attention and remember THIS room.
The music is nice, i read the comment that some sounds aren't playing and that is probably part of the reason why it is so hard, a real shame that happened. The pixel art is good, and overall i enjoyed the aesthetic
