The idea is really creative and fun, the only downside I see is that you can't attack down or left and it takes a lot on the game specially when there is so many enemies coming from both directions I can't hit. Other than that it's a really cool concept! (And the parry mechanic is just so satisfying!) Great work and congratulations on finishing your first game jam! If this gets an update please let me know, I'll give it another try!

Really loved the mechanics and the gameplay but i think making a wave system will make the game way better because spawning too many skeletons at a time from different sides will surround the player and get killed easily so no strategy will be followed overall great game, also if you dont mind giving my game a try i will appreciate that.

Depends on your age, if you're young you probably won't have heard of it/played it as it's an old game series now.
Basically a lot like yours with a lot of skeletons mobbing you all at once.
It's a pretty cool game series, you should check it out :)
really fun game!! i managed to kill the first horde of skeletons and get the upgrade but the second phase is too difficult for me, the spiders always kill me

Great game! It's nice to have a tuto room to try the gameplay at the start. You could add a scorring to give more motivation to keep playing

The game definitely makes you feel like a gladiator because of the very large amount of skeletons. Dashing around and doing a big speed killing a dozen in a row is very satisfying. This a great first game jam entry!
Only feedback is the the blocking still removes health which is maybe a bug? But that‘s a nitpick. I almost beat all of the skeletons i‘m pretty sure but i died right before!
Thanks for the feedback! By design, parrying only reflects projectiles. Unfortunately though, projectile reflection turned out to be pretty useless.

This game is quite fun. Its very difficult though. I like that u made 8 sprites just for the player turning and the walking skeletons look nice.
Would have loved to just hold mouse button down instead of destroying my mouse. And as always remember to change the cursor for more immersion. Good game nevertheless. If you make the difficulty curve not so steep it would be even better. (4,3,4)
Edit: think not all links in your game pages credits go to the right target (training dummy)
