Quite a good game. I ran into a bit of a problem though at the end; when I went backwards in the "welcome home" segment it would just loop infinitely and nothing happened ever.

Wow great use of the virtual house tour concept, The Demons threw me for a bit of a loop as far as the lore but overall this was an enjoyable experince

I BOUGHT A (spooky) HOUSE! | The Open House (StayHome Games Series)

Come see me take a virtual tour around my new & definitely not terrifying house....😅😅👻👻

This might just be one of the scariest games i have ever played. To be honest, it's not very polished, but it still does what it's trying to do very well. i had my eyes half closed during most of it, so good job!

I liked it,

Hello,

This game is amazing.I like this !

I share my video :)

I couldnt finish it haha. Too creeped out.

Anyone else notice this is the house from House Party? 😳

"HQ Residential House" is an asset that is notorious for being used as the setting for sooooo many games. In my opinion it actually makes this even creepier, using a well-known/familiar house we've all been in in other games...and turning it into this. Whether a person consciously recognizes it like "hey, it is the same house as this other game" or maybe they just feel a sense of familiarity without realizing exactly why, either way it adds to the eerie feeling when playing this game.

Exactly, it made it a little bit creepier since it was the same house but used in a completely different way

Really unique game, though there weren't any jumpscares which I support 100% I liked the game, it was slightly unsettling with a tiny puzzle element to it overall nice game.

Can anyone please tell me what music is used for the opening scene?

(+1)

Nope.

I know only the piano music which is

J.S. Bach - Prelude in C Major

I was so unnerved by the game. Not gonna lie, had to take my headphones off in sheer fear of impending doom twice. I loved the concept especially towards the "2nd half"(won't spoil anything here). I could see this game having different endings, though I don't know if that's the case. It definitely is an unsettling game in a unassuming package!

No different endings as far as I know

sharted my pants, don't regret it. 20/10 good game. this guy knows horror.

I love it! Though, I wish the bathroom mirror worked... :P

I had fun with this. Tried it after seeing John Wolfe play, so I didn't exactly go in blind, but I still really enjoyed the concept behind this game. Interested to see what else you put out. Thanks for your work, keep it up!

im only happy because my offer was excepted.

I will definitely play this game in a YouTube video I will post it on here

Glad this game is getting the support it deserves, possibly the CREEPIEST experience ever

Seriously, this was the first game to ever have me really shook. I almost stopped playing halfway through lol

I always heard that piano music at the start in so many games but never know the name, mind if somebody telling me the music in this game?

(+1)

It's the moonlight sonata, by beethoven :)

(+1)

It's actually Prelude in C Major from WTC Book I

I think you're right

game was good, creepy as hell.

That was actually great. One of the most refreshing horror games I've played in a while.

This game gave me a fear of stock photos and retail workers. Thanks.

...retail? You mean realtors? Lol

(+1)

....maybe

I loved this game. My favorite types of horror are when something that is mundane or relatively uninteresting (a house tour) is turned on its head and made terrifying. Great job guys, I made a video & review here!

Hey! I wanted to ask if there would be any voiceover for the presenter guy?

(+1)

I personally don't think that would fit...the silent text works for what it's going for, the janky web presentation/powerpoint-y aesthetic, idk how to describe it exactly but something like that. Well maybe a voice could be done well in some way that I'm just not picturing...

This game kinda blew my mind lol. I knew I was getting into some creepiness of the game but I wasn't expecting this lol. For some reason, I was expecting "more" but I don't know really what "more" I was expecting lol. Although, this game was pretty creepy and you can kinda tell in my editing lol?

I just love getting the shit scared outta me by you! Had to say thanks again for the scares. I wanted to share my playthrough with you as well, cheers!

This game was so cool! I've not yet seen someone try this concept and you straight knocked it out of the park!

thought its a normal game about house. oh god how wrong I was

(+1)

you tricked me.   I thought, "oh how nice, an actual real business can share in the informal 3d atmosphere here at itch!" and then I happened to notice the developer's name was corpsepile.  So, yeah, you still deserve every bit as warm a welcome (shoveling a grave in the sun).  Maybe add a phone ringing, or some other such phantom appliance, no?

*cries in scared midget*

Very well made. The horror aspects were very subtle. If i were to make a small suggestion it would be to make the walk speed for the debug camera a little faster. The walking around became a tad tedious. It's not 100% needed but would be nice.

Today was a big day! I went to my first open house! It was everything I thought it would be, small rooms, old washing machines, demons in the closet? Wait, what?...

I love the original concept of the game; the interactive "point and click" style. It did make it easier to understand where you were supposted to go, because there's only so many options to choose from which was great! And I really liked the hidden anomalies which make you question your sanity! Great game overall!

It scared the crap out of me when I saw the murderer in the closet of the upstairs laundry room.

Same. For me that was somehow worse than what happens when you go downstairs, honestly!!
