Tried out your game!

Tried out your game!

Tried out your game!

Before I rant a bit, let me just say I have well over 3,000 videos on Youtube, so although I may not "make" games, I know what constistutes for a "good" game, and this game just wasn't good.

First off,  I used an Xbox controller to play your game. It wasn't the controller that was the issue, it was the fact that certain features didn't work. Refer to the video again if you want examples.

Secondly, having a "fixed" camera angle in your game wasn't the issue at all. I get it, you were going for an old-school feel like the old Resident Evil games, but your angles were very off at times, and they sometimes got in the way of the combat. As I stated in my video, being able to walk off screen and not see myself anymore is one of the issues. Again, go back to the video for an example.

And granted, I didn't fully read the notes, I understand that. BUT, from what I did read, they didn't explain much. And besides, what I said about your story still stands. The game itself just didn't make sense at all.

And clearly you didn't pay attention to what I said in the video. I got your game "free" on Itch. Though I noticed that a day later, you decided to start charging for it. I'm completely fine with anyone making money in what they do, but what I don't like is when Developers like you make a game free for the sake of getting reviews and traffic, then charge for it afterwards. That's just not cool, regardless of whatever your "routine" is. If your intention was to make money from your game, then start with that decision, and be confident about it.

TL:DR

Listen, I'm sure you didn't like the things I said about your game, and that's fine. Not everyone is going to like what you do. At the end of the day, I'm just one person with an opinion, but that doesn't take away from the fact that you still have a long way to go when making games. Keep up the hard work, and be sure to reach to me about future projects.
